FBI Director James Comey announced that there is “no evidence” Clinton intentionally deleted any work-related emails, adding that there was “no intentional misconduct.” Though he said “there is evidence that they were extremely careless,” he went on to effectively exonerate the former secretary of state: “Although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.”
