Who writes this stuff for Il Papa? . . .

WHO’S WRITING THIS STUFF FOR IL PAPA? VALERIE JARRETT? MARIE HARF?

imageedit_7_8758625909His Holiness, the head of the Roman Catholic Church and a global ‘personality’ with half-baked opinions on everything, did stop short of calling ISIS the favorite characterization of our president, the “JV team”. Otherwise, though, as Francis jetted back to the Vatican from another “rock star” type appearance in Poland, he came very close to echoing President Obama’s speech of last year at the national prayer breakfast, though he did not warn us to stay off our “high horse”  (quote source below Patrick Goodenough at  CNS news.com :

““You told us that all religions seek peace, yet he was killed in the name of Islam,” a reporter said, referring to comments the pope had made en route to Poland on Wednesday. “Why do you never mention the word ‘Islam’ when you speak about terrorism?”

“I don’t like speaking of Islamic violence because I come across violence every day when I leaf through the newspapers here in Italy,” Pope Francis replied, according to a translation of his remarks published by La Stampa.

“You read about someone who’s killed his girlfriend or his mother-in-law, and these are violent baptized Catholics.”

“If I talk about ‘Islamic’ violence should I speak about ‘Catholic’ violence too? Not all Muslims are violent,” he said.

(And, how about those Crusades?)

Of course, as the Pontiff expanded on his remarks, as he usually does, he seemed to perhaps suggest that the lack of jobs, or possibly disrespect toward their ‘ideals’, or simply the lack of “social justice”, is a driver of terrorists’ impulses, sounding a little like another giant intellect, former US State Dept. spokesperson, Marie Harf:

“Commenting about potential terrorists and job opportunities on a broadcast of MSNBC’s Hardball in 2015, Harf said we must “go after the root causes that lead people to join these groups, whether it is lack of opportunity for jobs.” She later noted that her comment was probably “too nuanced for some”.

The Vicar of Christ, attributes terrorism and most other woes of the world to:

“When you make the money god the center of the world economy instead of man and woman…”

“I wonder how many young people have we as Europeans robbed of their ideals so that they turn to drugs, alcohol or they go there [to Mideast warzones] and enroll.”
Early in his papacy, Francis scolded conservative Catholics for their “obsession” with opposition to abortion, gay marriage, and other traditional tenets of the faith.
One could suggest that Il Papa has a few “obsessions” of his own, i.e. his opposition to capitalism, national sovereignty, and, like Sec. of State , John Kerry’s, favorite, “air-conditioning” (see Il Papa’s encyclical, “Laudato Si”).

To us, it is a mystery, as close as Pope Francis’s views track those of President Obama and many in his administration, that he was overlooked in selection of speakers at last week’s Democratic National Convention.

Oh well, surely he will attend Hillary’s inauguration.
