Abysmal dominant media & Stockholm syndrome Republicans

Like many other things, the media frenzy seems to be over matters that really aren’t the issue but do tend to support the left’s agenda:

– TRUMP DISAVOWS ‘BIRTHER MOVEMENT’, OR SOME SUCH HEADLINE

– ARCH CONSERVATIVES OPPOSE FREE TRADE

These are two of the latest. And even the people targeted as the “villains” of these positions seem to go along with those assertions.

From our perspective these characterizations are a gross distortion of the actual positions of the people targeted:

a) The so-called “birther movement”. To many of us the question was never about Barack Obama’s citizenship or even his birthplace. The issue was always about why was Obama willing to spend (undoubtedly not his money) $1 to $2 million with high-powered attorneys to keep his birth certificate from being made public? And then, when he finally agreed to release it, why was it only “on-line” where it could not be properly scrutinized by experts? There are real questions about his “on-line’ certificate and only one non-expert journalist was allowed to view the actual certificate. What is the big deal!?!

Obama’s “citizenship” is NOT the real issue. The issue is, what is the reason he has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep from just putting the document out there for every one to see, examine, and satisfy their suspicions?

And keep in mind, it wasn’t conservatives that started the “birther movement.”

(The latter would explain why Obama would not allow Sid on the payroll  )

b) Conservatives do not oppose “free trade”. Opposition to the TPP bill has nothing to do with “free trade”. This bill was negotiated in tight secrecy by the Obama administration, which has unarguably established a reputation for seldom, if ever, of telling the truth…Obamacare, IRS “targeting, the Iran agreement, etc. It consists of 5500 pages. Members of Congress could only view the contents of the bill under tight security provisions and to say little about it publicly. Republican establishment types have established a well-earned reputation for not opposing any Obama action for fear it might be harmful to their election chances.

The bill, from the little the public has been allowed to know is more about the threat to America’s national sovereignty than about “free trade”.

BUT, THEN, WHAT DO WE KNOW? ANSWER: HARDLY EVER THE TRUTH OR THE REALITY IF WE DEPEND ON DOMINANT LIBERAL MAINSTREAM MEDIA .
