GHW Bush to vote for his “adopted” daughter-in-law

CNN reports  (latest)  Sources: Bush 41 says he will vote for Clinton

Politico earlier today: George H.W. Bush to vote for Hillary Clinton — A Kennedy outs a Bush who favors a Clinton

The more I learn about the Bushes, the much less I like them. It was always unseemly the way former President George H W Bush became such good buddies with former president Bill Clinton and Mrs. Bush gushed over him. Even after Mr. Bush was suckered into joining the Clintons in the Haiti scam.

And then there was the way the family extended unbelievably credulous cordiality toward the utterly despicable Ted Kennedy.

In recent months we’ve seen the Bushes, George W. especially, have harsher words for GOP seekers of the nomination than they ever had for Democratic party opponents. Bush 42 did not disguise his dislike for Ted Cruz even though his brother JEB! had already been ousted from the race.

Many of the Republican political folks the Bushes have surrounded themselves with over the years have come out for Hillary for president (Dick Cheney being the notable exception).

The Bushes’ treatment of the Trump candidacy has served as the very definition of “sore looser”, the family obviously unable to come to terms with JEB!’s expensive and pitiable campaign.

As I recall during GW’s terms how often I had to muster “understanding” for some of his strange actions…his aggressive effort to get amnesty for illegal aliens… his unconscionable abandonment of the two border patrol officers who wounded the drug merchant attempting to being his goods into the US…his allowing Scooter Libby to be hung out to dry…his abject failure to defend his own administration’s properly motivated actions in defense of our national interests…and more.

But now, I’m done with trying to understand the Bushes. While 92-year-old GHW is willingly or unwittingly admitting he will vote for Hillary, I am convinced that the rest of family is more “discreetly” supporting her, an exception being the announcement by George P. Bush, son of Jeb, that he will vote for Trump.
