Sen. Jeff Flake is knocking his party´s Supreme Court strategy, arguing the opposition to taking up President Obama´s nominee boils down to politics. The Arizona Republican, who is a member of the Judiciary Committee, told The Daily Beast that “nobody really believes” a Supreme Court seat should remain vacant until the next president is sworn in. “Our position shouldn’t be that the next president ought to decide. Nobody really believes that, because if this were the last year of a Republican presidency nobody would say that,” Flake said. GOP senators: We could work with Hillary Clinton 

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is predicting that congressional Republicans will be more willing to work with Hillary Clinton than they have been with President Obama, should she be elected president. “Barack Obama was somewhat of an unknown – he was a senator, but only for a year-and-a-half before he was elected president. She is a known commodity, and I think there’ll be more camaraderie in terms of working together, than there might have been in the early days of Obama,” Isakson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Isakson, who is running for reelection and has endorsed GOP nominee Donald Trump, added,

If there can be any doubt that there is no two-party system in Washington, this should effectively remove it.

Of course, if these two clowns lose reelection, only “Tea Party nuts” and Donald Trump will be to blame.

I cannot think of any reason to keep these two seats from falling into Democrat hands. the results would be the same either way but the worse damage would be done by these two ungrateful traitors to their own electorate.
