Would larger denominations lighten the lift?
Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have already gotten more than 4 million signatures on a petition asking the Electoral College to toss Donald Trump’s victory.
“Upending a national election by switching 40 Republican electoral votes to a vote for an opponent is a high hurdle. (snip)
“Some of the calls are telling Electors to “vote for Jeb.” This is because Republican electors are unlikely to abandon a Republican candidate, and it appears Clinton supporters feel that if they give Electors a more “sensible” Republican option, their chances of getting Electors to switch their votes is higher. There’s even a Democrat-led effort called “Moral Electors,” joining the fray.”
Hmmm…40 Republican electoral college voters to vote for a Trump opponent?
Can’t help wondering just how high “a hurdle” that might actually be.
Just this week, George Soros (est. wealth, $25 BILLION) and a band of other multi-billionaires were meeting to figure out how they could thwart everything that Donald Trump might attempt to do as president.
Soros has spent many, many millions $, along with other leftist billionaires to take control of the US government over the last 5 presidential elections, with outright and near complete success being achieved only in the two before this latest one.
Anybody think that he and a few of his equally and possibly unscrupulous fellow fabulously rich lefties would hesitate to “prudently” spend $1 to $2 million each to “persuade” 40 electors already much “righteously” predisposed toward a Jeb or a Kasich or any other of the Republican primary candidates? And by “prudently spend”, we don’t necessarily mean , well, you know… DLH
