HAMILTON CAST TO PERFORM AT SUPER BOWL; WHERE’S AARON BURR WHEN WE NEED HIM?
Just learned that in addition to LGBTQ advocate, avid Hillary supporter, and “huuge” Trump hater, Lady Gaga (always wondered…is she a ‘lady’ or a ‘gaga’?), the NFL has also invited 3 members of the “Hamilton” cast to sing “America the Beautiful” in pre-game festivities.
Congratulations Roger Goodell! What a fitting way to end the NFL’s 2017 Season of Disgrace.
The media is buzzing about Lady Gaga… ‘will she’ or ‘won’t she’ go off on Trump with some typical celebrity political rant?
Nobody seems to know but devoted Gaga observers seem to think it’s a 50/50 chance though she has significantly toned down her once super-flamboyant style.
The “Hamilton” invite, however, is for me, another matter.
Is it necessary to ask: what is the cast of Hamilton best known for outside the Broadway intelligensia?
Answer: very doubtful that it is for the world renown acclaim the Broadway musical has garnered. More likely the cast is best known for its stunning, insulting disrespect it showed toward newly-elected Vice President Mike Pence when he attended a performance.
In addition to their rendition of “America the Beautiful”, it’s not out of the realm to expect some political statement from this ‘civility challenged’ outfit.
While speculation about the specifics of Super Bowl LI’ s format abounds, sources have told Veritaspac there is a high probability that the live audience and worldwide TV viewers are in for some real surprises; our readers must be cautioned, though, that the following reports are unconfirmed:
– Lady Gaga WILL perform suspended from the roof of the Houston stadium.
– Unconfirmed, however, are leaks that suggest Ms. Gaga, as a tribute to last week’s “Women’s March” will appear in costume as a giant vagina! (There has been no confirmation of this from Mr. Goodell’s office.)
– Further, it has been rumored that she will honor Hillary Clinton’s “unfortunate” electoral experience with a medley of tunes, including “I did it my way”, “If I were a rich man”, and Whitney Houston’s, “Didn’t we almost have it all?”**…an ode to Huma.
– And, as her special guest, a custom in recent Super Bowls, Gaga and Chelsea Manning will sing “I feel pretty” in the finale.
– And likely to be the evening’s greatest moment, the cast of “Hamilton” will be joined by the “Black Lives Matter Chorus” in singing the “Internationale”* as Colin Kaepernick urinates on the American flag.
Oh, and also, there’s a football game with Atlanta heavily favored, following Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension for non-NFL authorized promotional material found in his locker…a “Make America Great” cap.
