Pope on the road again

Pope Willie Francis Nelson

Ed. note: We know we give Pope Francis a hard time (with what we hope is seen as light-hearted chiding) for what we see as his ill-considered and naive political beliefs and statements. It’s our firm belief, though, that his anti-capitalist views and his apparent utter disdain for the United States, which he sees as the root of all evil that goes on in the communist countries of Latin America and brutal dictatorships around the world, actually make things worse rather than better.

He has embraced evil regimes in Cuba and several Latin American countries and supported the destructive policies and ideologies of the Obama administration and the global leftist movement. Francis is an obvious advocate for “liberation theology”, the Marxist -based political movement which was born in South America and up until his papacy was rejected and condemned by the Church and by each of his immediate predecessors.

So, if misguided, we hope we will enjoy the same forgiveness His Holiness is eager to bestow on those whose ideologies and actions have been, unarguably, so tragically destructive around the globe in recent history.

POPE FRANCIS HEADING TO EGYPT DESPITE TERRORIST ATTACKS

OUR VATICAN SOURCES TELL VERITAS PAC THAT IN ADDITION TO HIS USUAL MESSAGE OF “SOCIAL JUSTICE”, FRANCIS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY KENDALL JENNER AND IS BRINGING A CASE OF PEPSI!

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Despite recent and repeated terrorist attacks against Egypt’s minority Christian communities, Pope Francis will not cancel his visit to Egypt.

“The pope’s trip to Egypt proceeds as scheduled,” Greg Burke, Vatican spokesman, told Catholic News Service by email April 10. The pope is scheduled to meet governmental and interfaith leaders during an April 28-29 visit to Cairo.
“Egyptians are looking forward to Pope Francis’ visit, although the atmosphere at present is heavy,” Father Rafic Grieche, spokesman for the Egyptian bishops, told CNS April 10, the day after the attacks.

“The pope’s mission is to be beside his brothers at the time of difficulty. Now is the real time that he can bring peace and hope to the Egyptian people as a whole and to the Christians of the East, in particular,” Father Grieche added.
