MIKE PENCE DID HIS CREDIBILITY NO GOOD ON RUSH LIMBAUGH’S SHOW TUESDAY

Transcript of VP Pence on Limbaugh’s show

To me, success in politics is dependent on the mastery of the high art of being able to say things one knows are untrue, stupid, misleading, even insulting toward their most supportive audiences…with a straight face and an amiable manner.

To that extent, Mike Pence has honed his mastery of the art form to perfection.

Having to defend one of the most colossal betrayals of GOP voters, and his own president, Vice President Pence told Rush listeners what a great victory for the Trump agenda the new proposed budget represents.

He was strongly challenged by Limbaugh but his defense of the budget was so weak it was laughable. Pence, however, was firm in his commitment to his story and his willingness and ability to stick to it.

The Vice President proudly pointed to the increased funding for the military (half what Trump wanted) without having to match that spending level with an equivalent amount for domestic entitlement programs…a favorite desire of Democrats. He also touted, disregarding the blunt rejection of President Trump’s #1 campaign priority, the border “wall”, the modest increase in “border security” funding (much of which will go for more beds in detention centers).

If you just returned from an extended vacation in the Hundu Kush, you may have been impressed with the Vice President’s recounting of all these “big wins”.

But then, of course you would not be aware that the budget fully funded every one of the Democrats’ priorities…sanctuary cities, Planned Parenthood, refugee relocation funding, EPA funding, Obamacare provisions, etc.

If Pence was a stock on the NYSE, his per share price would be off a minimum of 50% today, based on this performance.

How President Trump can stand to see his election-winning agenda shredded by the treacherous and dishonest GOP establishment is beyond comprehension.

At least, my comprehension…     DLH
