Ellen DeGeneres won’t allow Trump on her show: ‘He’s against everything that I stand for’

Although NBC doesn’t officially proclaim her show their official “Gay Show”, its hostess, Ms. Degeneres, sometimes seems to us like she thinks it is. Everything about Ellen since she “came out” a couple of decades ago, seems to be framed by her gay perspective.
While she seems to enjoy some kind of an image as a really nice, gracious person, she doesn’t extend her “graciousness” to the president of the United States, telling NBC’s Matt Lauer on the Today Show that, “He’s (Trump) against everything that I stand for.”
According to the story in Business Insider, “DeGeneres likely disagrees with Trump’s recent executive order that revokes federal guidelines giving bathroom rights to transgender Americans.”
Of all the things Ellen can stand with great righteousness for in this modern world, the fact that she’s not on the same page as Donald Trump on that issue doesn’t make me fear that civilization is in peril.
But alas! Degeneres is despondent: “I’m not going to change his mind,” she told Matt Lauer during a pretaped interview on Friday’s “Today” show of her reasoning for not having Trump on her talk show.
To illustrate, however, the impact on coherent thought that afflicts liberals these days because of their bitter disappointment at Hillary’s loss, Ellen had this to say: “We need to look at someone else who looks different than us, and believes in something that we don’t believe in, and still accept them and still let them have their rights…”
Sure, that’s reasonable…so sayeth the lady who refuses to have someone on her show who “might believe in something “different” than she…because she feels she “can’t change his mind”! Makes one wonder how does she really feel about letting “them have their rights”.
Doesn’t sound like America’s iconic lesbian is very “accepting” and the harder she tries to sound righteous and noble, the more shrill and befuddled she sounds.
Oh, but that’s just lovable Ellen.

Fake news. Donald Trump not allowed on “Ellen”? Who said he wanted to come on the show? I wouldn’t go on her show if asked.
This is the formulation, the narrative that has captured “media”

Think about it. When did transgenders not have bathroom rights? The issue deserves more explanation than, at best, capitulation to short-cut terminology. It is not good or fair-minded journalism.
