Does CNN realize the brand/identity it is carefully crafting of itself?

Professional wrestling broadcasts have more integrity and discretion

Kathy Griffin perhaps became the first iceberg tip (and an craggy one it is). It was not enough in 2013 that she thought it would be an hilarious comedic moment if she simulated performing oral sex on her gay co-host, Anderson Cooper, during their New Year’s Eve “Blowout” (an ironic title, don’cha think?). In fact CNN apparently thought it was great comedy…how creative!!

Now we have the renowned and erudite “religious scholar” and CNN host of the wildly popular show “Believer”, Reza Aslan.

If you thought Kathy Griffin is cute and funny, you’d be wild about Reza Aslan.

No doubt a deeply religious fellow, and certainly a cultured and insightful commenter on the political scene, Mr. Aslan made an especially clever assessment of the current occupier of the Oval Office.

The deeply religious 1979 Iranian Shia Muslim refugee, American citizen, Mr. Aslan:  “This piece of shit is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He’s an embarrassment to humankind.”

Will CNN cancel Mr. Aslan’s show for making an outrageously disrespectful remark about the President of the United States?

I think CNN will, instead, reward him with a lucrative contract extension. After all Mr. Aslan has not only upheld the “edgy”, excrement-tinted image CNN has, but even enhanced with its dismally small (choir size) but greatly uninformed (thanks to him) viewership.

THIS IS CNN: Show Host Reza Aslan Calls President Trump ‘Piece of Sh*t’

Religious scholar Reza Aslan, host of CNN’s Believer, went on a profane Twitter rant against President Donald Trump on Saturday night, calling Trump a “piece of shit”, a “stain on the presidency” and an “embarrassment to America…and humanity” over Trump’s calling for reinstatement of his travel ban in response to the London terror attacks earlier Saturday night.
