- Has Fox Radio gone largely to the dark side
In answer to the question raised about Drudge, for two or three months my own somewhat sporadic observation is “a definite maybe.” Drudge, as an aggregator, of sorts, of what news is out there, rather than mostly emphasizing contra-anti-Trumpers (Democrat and Republican) Drudge has seemed to increase the ant-Trump quotient with more limited rebuttal.
This Daily Caller article reflects my concern. While I thought Drudge a bit overboard in bias toward Trump pre-primary , if you want critics takes on Trump, one only need listen to or read the liberal controlled “mainstream media.”
Reporters Wonder: Has The Trump White House Lost Matt Drudge?
Granted the bulk of the referenced reporters are not conservatives or from conservative publications (The Atlantic and Mediaite for example). But if Drudge’s purpose is click bate, the articles linked to, teased or headlined are not conservative takes. The number of conservative responses, readily available, are slower to appear. Here is an earlier this morning screen grab:
Granted, a few hours later this appeared, offering a relevent take
If an aggregator (Drudge is something other than that as his characterizing of various articles amounts to editorializing) wanted to serve to focus on aggregating the conservative alternative articles, because, to put it simply, the liberal takes on affairs of the day are ubiquitous, one would think that is easy enough to do in concept. Most such conservative journalistic articles link to or summarize the liberal take so presentation of the liberal side is more than adequately done, all things considered.
Balance is not served by regurgitating the liberal take on matters. Balance is not purveying the readily available liberal take with equal time or space or links. Balance is offering the alternatives to the dominant liberal analysis, concentrating on purveying the conservative side.
The Drudge screen shots continue to show articles purveying liberal scandal mongering when there are plenty of articles available to challenge liberal presumptions, including this one by Peter Hasson at the Daily Caller:
Everybody Is Forgetting That Clinton Allies Did The Same Thing As Don Jr.
But Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort’s lone meeting with the Russian lawyer pales when compared to the coordination between
The purveying by Drudge of the Washington Post “analysis’ of Pence’s fund raising (see bottom of each screen grab) is regrettable. It only adds to BS theories that are without basis, furthering liberal disinformation and wedge attempts when the whole of it involves pro-forma functions. A scandal would be Pence sitting on his hands not raising money.
This observation about Drudge’s aura of late triggers a repetition of another observation of mine, — Fox Radio news reporting is just another example of pack journalism. It reports what others in the fraternity decide is news and pretty much the same way. Lucky for us locally the Fox Radio news tends to be on conservative talk radio stations, or there would be no antidote to them.
