McConnell Calls For Ethics Probe Of Franken
- Oh Come on Ms Tweeden. It was a ” comedy sketch”. You know how cute and clever Senator Franken is
- What, you mean people who write and perform raunchy skits might actually be insensitive or worse?
Senator Al Franken has admitted to the facts his accusers present (his contriteness no doubt helped by photographic evidence) but candidate Roy Moore, who will face the electorate imminently, according to McConnell should nevertheless remove himself from consideration based on accusations the veracity of which he has denied. What little evidence Moore’s accusers present is disputable or interpretable, their motivations at least deserving to be questioned as to their timing. After all it is not as if Roy Moore has not been in the spotlight in Alabama. Senator McConnell’s motivations to circumvent innocent unless “proven”* guilty as regards Moore are suspect for political reasons as well. McConnell oversaw the spending of millions to defeat Moore, a critic of McConnell, in order to install lobbyist Luther Strange, (or is it Strange Luther).
What is it about Minnesota politics?
How can anyone respect the discernment of Minnesota’s political majority? Look what they have exalted to statewide office — punk comedian Al Franken and pro-wrestling joke Jesse Ventura who makes Trump’s demeanor look like Calvin Coolidge.
Franken is the real deal
By the way, who was it that Al Franken primarily made fun of . . . conservatives and their old-fashioned ways. Conservatives may not always live up to them but they do not denigrate traditional values. Franken made his living tearing down traditional values and decorum, and exercised his lack of same among coworkers.
