GEORGE WILL HAS DECIDED TRUMP IS ‘WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY’
IN A COLUMN THIS WEEK, FORMER REPUBLICAN GEORGE WILL DECLARED THAT DONALD TRUMP IS THE “WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY”. (If you’re interested in reading Will’s column, it’s available at the Washington Post online for a dollar…way more than it’s worth in my view.)
In doing so, I think sad old George should’ve gone quietly into the sunset some time ago. He has managed, in a few recent years of blatant hackery, to turn decades of significant journalistic accomplishment into a bizarre caricature…which seems to descend further into grim farce as he continues to write.
Only days before the 2016 election Mr. Will spoke of his yearning for Hillary Clinton to achieve a resounding landslide victory.
In an interview with ABC’s Jonathon Karl, Will said:
“It depends partly on the size of Mr. Trump’s defeat. If it’s a narrow defeat, that’s the worst (snickers) conceivable outcome for Republicans, because then it will be the old stab-in-the-back theory, that but for people like Paul Ryan or Ben Sasse or lesser figures like George Will, all would have been well. Mrs. Clinton may win by four points, but well over 300 electoral votes. That would help the Republicans. The Republican Party has to do several things. First, it has to somehow emancipate itself from its thralldom to the indignation industry of talk radio and certain cable personalities that I think have a paralyzing effect on the party when it tries to deal with things like immigration. Until the Republican Party gets right with minorities in this country, it’s never gonna win another presidential election.”
And, now, old George has decided that President Trump’s support of Roy Moore, in order to hold a crucial Senate seat, makes him the “worst president” ever.
Well George, using your kind of logic, you are now the “worst columnist in history”!
