LOVE BIRDS Peter and Lisa really only suggested that, in the unlikely event that Donald Trump became president, maybe the FBI needed “to aggressively investigate allegations of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia”.
The pair were just really concerned that if there was possibly some truth to those allegations there could be bad stuff that could destroy the country!
According to Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal, “people familiar” with Peter Strzok are saying that’s what he meant by an “insurance policy” in his discussion with the ever optimistic Lady Lisa Page.
We are apparently supposed to believe that, while both these charming people, Pete and Lisa, were concerned that Mr. Trump might not be a good president, they didn’t necessarily believe the “Russia collusion” allegations. But just to be sure the Republic would not be destroyed, it was essential that the “facts” be determined…to wit: an” insurance policy” to protect America.
There you have it! And you thought there was no way that a plausible explanation could make this trio (include “Andy”) appear to be the most honest, admirably concerned, totally dedicated, non-political folks on the planet.

Still some may wonder . . .
As DLH has come to realize and pass on, of course we all must be chastened, for not understanding what insurance means, so easy were we to jump to conclusions. But if the Trump-Russia collusion accusation was true, or any of he sordid crud associated with it, why would anyone refer to it as insurance rather than something that must be exposed directly as a national security matter, attested to transparently, something the people should know, and not a matter of leaks and innuendo?
Perhaps because they knew there was real scandal and national security effects to Hillary’s involvement with the Russians, that revelations were having an effect on the election, and they wanted counter accusations “out there” . . . and they must be salacious.
The press dutifully scribbled, embellished, created an aura of dark meetings with Boris and Natasha and oh the juicy lie about Trump in a hotel room in Russia surely that would turn the Walmart shoppers around.
But now . . . to clean up the mess they made . . . they have to spin what insurance means.
