If you really want to know more about Steve Bannon’s “book”, the UK’s Daily Mail has the detailed story, with lots of nice pictures: (we prefer this one with reference to Bannon)
**********************
In my reading of this stuff so far, it is a stunning picture of betrayal, treachery, immaturity, and sniveling pettiness on the part of Steve Bannon, someone I was never a big fan of, but respected for his work in building Breitbart into a major conservative news outlet.
In a “preliminary final analysis”, I guess what is interesting to me is not whether what Bannon says is based in reality.
More important, at least to me, is why say it? For sure there is enough dirt throughout Washington, DC that there are many, many books which could be written about every other president, would be president, frustrated high profile politicians, etc, even less complimentary. Just imagine what has already been disclosed about the Clintons…imagine how much more there is.
No wait! I don’t want to imagine.
A good friend of mine who claims to have met Trump on occasion, assured me that if I knew him, I wouldn’t like him.
Maybe so. As I told my friend, I doubt there are any (maybe one or two) politicians that I would like on a personal basis.
I am far more interested, however, on how they govern; what policies they endorse and are willing to fight for.
What I have seen of Donald Trump in this respect however, and I don’t expect to ever meet or interact on a personal level with him, I am firmly in his corner. I’m not fond of Jared or Ivanka, or for that matter, Donald J. Jr.
President Trump, however, has more energy, more courage, and a better feel for what America is all about than any president since Reagan.
So, to hell with Bannon, George Will, Bret Stephens, and all the other losers.
I only fear that Bannon’s ravings will be used to inflict possibly terminal damage to the Trump presidency. For that, what is that about “there’s a special place …”? DLH
I don’t want Bannon anywhere near our Sanate candidates for 2018. We have a great opportunity if we don’t run a batch of Christine O’Donnells. “I am not a witch, crook, or child molester” makes a terrible campaign slogan.
A main reason I have been a subscriber to Sirius is that I like the Patriot channel, several of the music offerings and I am a fan of Breitbart News.
Now, Steve Bannon is returning to head that organization. Unfortunately, if I must choose between Breitbart, under Bannon, and President Trump…it’s ‘Adios Breitbart’. As a prominent person often says, “sad”.
Well, Gene, if you don’t like witches, crooks, or child molesters, that’s admirable. But get used to it. Every Republican candidate, including establishment, will be characterized in that way, or worse, whether there is a basis in truth or not. Maybe even being accused of saying they can see Russia from their front porch, or that they are ‘mentally unstable’, ‘immature’, unintelligent, racist, homophobic, ‘simply unfit to serve”.
It’s the only way the Democrats and liberal media know how to wage an election campaign.
Admittedly, it does seem to be persuasive to many voters, some even on our side.
As to “witches”: maybe the campaign slogan worse than that is, “I am Chris Coons, and I’ll do whatever Mr. Schumer tells me to.”
