About California’s “automatic” voter registration of illegal aliens

Safeguards against illegals voting in California are unclear and seem insufficient, especially given that state’s political environment

Lack of voting integrity in California affects us all

Republican mid-term caucuses and primary meetings are coming up, validity of electoral votes and other federal elections coming out of  California (and states with similar proclivities to ignore the integrity of the vote) ought to be addressed

Possible draft resolution for caucuses and Republican confabs or any civic forum:

Consistent with the 15 Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that Congress has the authority to enforce that citizens have the right to vote and that non-citizens have no such right to vote and; whereas failure to ensure the integrity of the vote by not assuredly limiting voting to citizens diminishes the impact of citizen voting and; whereas some states have by their misuse or corruption of the federally enacted Help America Vote Act used it to justify what are profoundly insecure protections safeguarding the integrity of the vote;  therefore Congress should make mechanisms for limiting the vote to citizens of the United States more uniformly secure and enforceable and further that electoral college votes and seating of federal delegations from jurisdictions not in compliance with federal law newly enacted or that violate the spirit of insuring the integrity of the vote under current law, those elections results should not be recognized.

Critiques, objections and refinements welcome. We will try to revisit the matter in these pages again. Republican caucuses in Iowa are early evening on February 5th at locations determined by the county party*. Visit county party websites for more information. We encourage readers to bring all manner of conservative resolutions to the Republican caucuses to help form and make the platform relevant.  See our criticisms of some Republican platform developments by searching “platform” in our search window.

Related links to articles about recent California voter registration provisions and the likelihood of laxity in insuring the integrity of the vote follows.   Read carefully and with the proclivities of the political powers in that state in mind.  The need for states to protect themselves from such corruption inflicted by California or other states so inclined is compelling.

This LA Times article form 2015 implies that the automatic voter registration with driver’s license renewals has California Secretary of State safeguards built-in:

Here’s how California’s new voter registration law will work

An analysis by Jazz Shaw writing at Hot Air gives reasons to doubt their efficacy:

California opens the door to more voter fraud with new motor voter law

Recent reporting on  developments this week involving a judicial ruling has muddied the water as to what is going on, but definitely implying that voting integrity will be even less secure. Some months ago the usual suspects sued on the basis that some provisions of the Secretary of State’s  implementation of automatic voter register with all driving license renewals was TOO BURDENSOME.  Keep in mind California issues drivers licenses to illegals, no citizenship checks required.  The new voter registration law provided an opt out selection for those who did not want to vote.  Having to make such a decision even though registration was automatic if you did not opt out was some how too confusing so better to just register everyone?  By all means correct us if our reading of the available information is wrong.

California to register illegal aliens to vote – automatically
Court orders government to do so for all driver’s licenses issued

An article building off of the World Net Daily report linked above is available here.

An article appearing in American Thinker prior to the 2016 election anticipated what Trump might do if he did not win the electoral vote due in part to California’s laxity.  Of course the matter of going to court on that aspect was made mute by his win. It was the genesis of aspects to our suggested resolution at upcoming Republican caucuses and beyond.

Could California’s illegal voter registration drive torpedo Hillary’s carefully laid plans for victory?
