We’ve all been to a Super Bowl party, or watched a game with friends at a saloon. It doesn’t matter the sport. Fans of both teams are sitting around, feeling the “thrill of victory” and/or “the agony of defeat”. Experiencing both during the ebb and flow of the contest. There’s joy when “your” team scores, anger at the bad call, misery when “their” team takes the lead. We smile, grimace, cover our mouths and pound the table. These reactions work in tandem. As someone jumps in the air, someone’s falling to their knees. One side’s laughing with good fortune, another side’s frowning at disadvantage. It’s human nature.
During President Trump’s State of the Union address, the Democrat’s plan was obvious: Stay seated. Give President Trump no positive responses. Everyone’s seen the memes and clips on TV or Facebook. (article continues below)
While watching, I couldn’t help but notice body language and facial expressions of the Democrats. Glued in their seats, nervously glancing about, seemingly unsure of their strategy’s efficacy.
Were Democrat’s expressions those of the winning team’s fans? If Trump was stepping in cow pies all over the stage, wouldn’t Democrats be smirking? Were they confident Trump’s message was alienating millions of voters, wouldn’t they look like Patriot fans during Brady’s march downfield in overtime? Instead, Democrats were slouching, faces dour, reminiscent of Saints fans as the Viking’s receiver sped down the sidelines.
If you think Democrats had sour expressions at the SOTU, wait until November’s “Blue Tsunami” fails to materialize.
I’ll be watching.

Re-read my past essay “Lost”. The last few paragraphs, about the libs eventually crying “fake news”, People are going to start thinking I have a time machine.
As Karl Rove might say, “Why can’t the GOP have ‘quality’ candidates like these?”
From this photo, the Democrat Party’s “big tent” looks more like an oversize clown car.
