School indoctrination: Biased journalism writes first draft of history texts

Is This True? A Challenge to Veritaspac readers

Check Out This Undeniable Proof Of Public School Anti-Trump Indoctrination

According to the blog, DCWhispers, school children across the nation are being taught “history”, at least in part, as the Associated Press wishes them to know it.

The link above to the story includes a photo of pages found in a “history” narrative put out by the AP and which teachers in public schools across America are reported using to provide their students “truth” about current events.

In this case, one of the biggest “events” being the election of Donald Trump.

Now folks, those of you have children, or perhaps grandchildren, in public school these days, you might be interested in what they are learning about America…most importantly about roughly half the nation’s population, as the Associated Press sees it.

Here is an excerpt from the AP history text about the 2016 presidential election outcome that high school juniors across the country are instructed to read…and learn from:

“Trump’s supporters saw the vote as a victory for the people who, like themselves, had been forgotten in a fast-changing America…a mostly older, often rural or suburban, and overwhelmingly white group. Clinton’s supporters feared that the election had been determined by people who were afraid of a rapidly developing ethnic diversity of the country, discomfort with their candidate’s gender, and nostalgia for an earlier time in the nation’s history. They also worried about the mental stability of the president-elect and the anger that he and his supporters brought to the nation.”

That’s how the Associated Press sees it and how they’d like America’s young people to see it.

Here is our ‘challenge’ to our readers: If you have a son or daughter who is a junior in a public high school in the state (or a grand-son or -daughter… or have a friend whose child is in that group), let us know if what is being reported from cities and states around America is happening here in Iowa and Illinois as well. Is this text being used in their schools? And, if possible, what kind of additional analysis of stories like this is offered by their teachers?

And, if not, let us know that, too.

Just drop a line in the “comments” box below this story. It can be as simple as a “yes” or “no” answer to the question (do you know students in the QC, or elsewhere who are being assigned to read this ‘history’ text?) or, you’re invited to express your views on this topic to any length you wish.

You need not identify yourself (the school district or high school would be helpful) and your email address will not be disclosed.

We will ask the same of some Iowa legislators.
