SO YOU THINK YOU ARE OFFENDED BY NFL PLAYERS DISRESPECTING OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM AND THE AMERICAN FLAG BECAUSE YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY?
NO! YOU ARE “OFFENDED” BECAUSE THE RUSSIANS DUPED YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE OFFENDED!
There was a piece recently in the Wall Street Journal by columnist Andrew Beaton. In it he wrote that following President Trump’s 2017 ‘tweets’ criticizing “the NFL and its players who protest during the national anthem…” the “debate…roared back to life…”.
Beaton reported that “mounting evidence indicates how this issue “… was used by a “Russian and Kremlin-backed company to “sow discord in the U.S.”
Yessir, it looks there’s “mounting evidence” that you would have been OK with Colin Kaepernick and his NFL player buddies using our national symbols to protest wildly misrepresented allegations of racism on the part of America’s law enforcement men and women.
See, it’s simple… as you and I must be.
If those dastardly Russians had not sent out “thousands of tweets predominately criticizing the protesters” to “spur uproar” and “create division in the national discourse’…we wouldn’t have been bothered at all by Eric Reid and dozens of other players “taking a knee” or raising a clenched fist in blatant disrespect for the country, our flag, the men and women of our armed forces who died too see these guys free to make millions and at the same time pay devotion to the lies on which their protests are based.
And, would you believe, Beaton noted (apparently with a straight face), those “Russian trolls” are continuing to “weigh in on divisive sports topics, including the Nike campaign with Kaepernick and the controversial U.S. Open final between Serrena Williams and Naomi Osaka”?
Those darn Russians…weren’t for them, we would all happily celebrate the goodness of Kaepernick, Nike, and our honest, accurate liberal media.
