This morning on MSNBC, the discussion was about what the ‘panel’ thought of the virtual certainty that Donald Trump, Jr. would soon be indicted for ‘lying to Congress’.
The unchallenged conclusion was…ready the rim shot…DT Jr. would definitely be convicted because his “I don’t recall” (telling DT, Sr. about the impending meeting in Trump Tower with the Russian attorney)” IS THE WEAKEST DEFENSE IN WASHINGTON!!!!
Really!!!???
(They even went on to relate how’ that’ defense was a failure for Richard Nixon and Scooter Libby.)
The thought was apparently based on a conjured up Politico story (their go-to publication) back in June of 2017
It was a bogus story back then. If it were a hypothesis instead of tripe for leftist readers it wouldn’t last a moments analysis by objective observers. DLH Consider:

Hillary Clinton Said She Can’t Recall Key Details About Her Private Email Server
Clinton lawyer David Kendall provided the Democratic presidential nominee’s sworn responses to 25 written questions submitted by Judicial Watch. The group has filed multiple lawsuits seeking copies of government documents from Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.
Clinton’s answers provided no new information. In her responses, Clinton used some variation of “does not recall” at least 21 times.
Maybe it’s a defense that’s ‘weak’ only for Republicans? DLH
