At the Intelligence Officials Tea: “Trump and his MAGA reprobates must be stopped for the good of world order. Whatever it takes — gossiping, leaking, undermining, slow-walking, lying, sandbagging, circumventing. Surely we will be believed . . .
Among all national news reporters and opinion writers, Sharyl Attkisson must be ranked in the top three. So much so that, as a reporter for pro-Obama CBS, her writing was so accurate and non-partisan that the Obama administration had her under surveillance until it became necessary for her to leave the network.
In this piece she summarizes matters that she has been the first to bring to the nation’s attention — something that we too have noticed has been completely missing from media ‘interest” — the “Intelligence Community’s” (IC) obvious and completely unabashed effort to undermine President Trump.
A lot of coverage (and downright “publicity”) was given to the “IC’s” recent “threat assessment” supposedly alerting America to the “real” global threats to our national security.
The real purpose, so transparently obvious, was to contradict virtually every Trump position and strategy .
– “Iran is “in technical compliance” with the “nuclear agreement” from which Trump withdrew, accurately labeling it a “terrible and dangerous” pact.
– “North Korea will never give up its nuclear weapons” (so Trump’s diplomatic initiatives are naive and stupid?)
– “Russia and China are the most serious global threats”, but then Trump is criticized for attempting to “reset” relations with Putin which failed so dramatically when Obama and Hillary attempted to and Obama sought to “collude” with Putin, begging him to give him some slack until after he’s reelected).
– “Our allies are being ‘abandoned’ “…apparently by Trump’s successful effort to get them to meet their commitments for their own defense’.
– The “IC” also threw in some gratuitous criticism about Trump’s trade and tariff policies.
In this piece Attkisson becomes one of only a few that suggests how much of a product of the Deep State which still resides within our “Intelligence Community”! Good for her! DLH

In the end, President Trump could be right or wrong. And the way he interacts with his intel officials deserves news coverage and scrutiny. But we should refrain from one-sided reporting based on anonymous, orchestrated leaks by people who clearly seek to use the media to sway public and political opinion.
Our intel community — especially today, with its recent conduct under scrutiny — should not be immune from healthy skepticism. These latest press reports are a pretty good indication that, for some intel officials, their operation against the commander-in-chief continues.
