Can there be any doubt that this Pope is a Marxist and Liberation Theology promoter? Marxist analysis is the economic and philosophic basis, twisted to sound theological, of his commentaries. His is a cartoonish view of capitalism that he rails about but that does not exist anywhere, yet he uses it to morally bludgeon people and nations and to promote his unholy (in our view evil as all human experience has shown it to be totalitarian and death-dealing and not supported by Scripture or Catholic tradition) Marxist views.
In this article from the Daily Caller read Pope Francis’ comments about capitalism not just his essential denunciation of nation states. The Caller is way to reticent in its description of the Pope’s analysis. Following that we excerpt Monica Showalter at American Thinker who has an insightful analysis of the Pope’s comments.
Pope Decries US Border Wall, Says It Will Make America A ‘Prisoner’
Pope Francis decried President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall, saying it would make the U.S. a prisoner and that rejecting migrants was unjust.
Francis disparaged the Trump administration’s stance on immigration in an interview with Spanish journalist Jordi Evole from La Sexta on Friday before leaving for his trip to Morocco. The pontiff criticized not only the U.S., but also other countries that have put up physical barriers to illegal migrants, like Spain. “He who raises a wall ends up a prisoner of the wall he erected,” Francis said, according to Crux Now. “That’s a universal law in the social order and in the personal one. If you raise a wall between people, you end up a prisoner of that wall that you raised.”
“Yes, I defend my autonomy, yes. But you’re left alone like a mushroom,” he added.
Francis also decried the fences that Spanish authorities put up, which have spikes atop them to deter migrants, as “shameful.” He argued that war, famine and poverty motivate migrants to leave their countries, and that Catholic faithful should be “coherent” in living according to the Gospel by welcoming migrants.
“Why do [migrants] come? [Because] they live in despair and are united in a great illusion … they don’t measure the consequences, and we don’t measure the pain those people have,” Francis said.
Francis laid the blame for poverty and war at the feet of capitalism, saying it provokes the situations that cause migrants to flee their home countries. He said nothing, however, concerning the destructive influence of socialism that has created social, political and economic crises in South American countries like Venezuela.
“This is the hourglass,” Francis said. “Capitalism conceived of as a savage, not a social market economy […] What doesn’t work is the world of finance. This also creates wars, for the possession of wealth, does it not, whether they are international or national? I argue that we are already in a third world war, in pieces.”
Though Francis has not blatantly promoted communism or socialism, he has made several statements that seemed to support Marxist ideologies to a degree, and reflected aspects of Marxism in his proposed policies to combat climate change, which involve imposing heavy economic regulations. The pontiff also garnered criticism for accepting a gift of a hammer and sickle crucifix from Bolivian President Evo Morales.

Pope blames illegal migration to capitalist countries … on capitalism
Pope Francis was at it again, offering up a confused “narrative” about illegal immigration in his bid to hector Western nations seeking to control their lawless borders through the construction of border walls. This time, his Marxist analysis of things got in the way of his theologically-charged argument, making him look like a V.S. Naipaul-style third-world boob. . . .
The pope’s shot against capitalism, though, is where the real hypocrisy can be found.
Here’s his quote again:
Francis said “in general” capitalism provokes the situations of poverty that drive people to flee, because “fewer and fewer reach people with a lot of money and there are more poor people with very little money.”
“This is the hourglass,” he argued. “Capitalism conceived of as a savage, not a social market economy
If there were any truth to what he was saying, you can bet the migrant surges would be heading as far away from the U.S. as possible. Why would they want to head for as bad a place as the U.S. with all its ‘savage’ capitalism, just waiting to ravage them in its maw?
If the pope really believed that, he’d be urging the migrant waves to head for socialist countries instead. You know, the kind the Maryknolls and other Catholic liberation theology leftists have advocated for as the great “sea of happiness.” The pope is buddies with these people, and his thinking is clearly the kind of garbage they propound. Why are all those three million Venezuelans fleeing socialist Venezuela again? Capitalism? File under ‘ridiculous.’
Actually, it’s socialism that drives people from their homelands, as any Venezuelan, Cuban or Nicaraguan can tell you. Mexico has been socialist for decades, run up until recently by a party described by Mario Varga Llosa as “the perfect dictatorship.” Central America has gladly voted in socialist ex-guerrillas to high office, particularly in El Salvador. The more socialism, the more migration. The problem of course, is that these migrants are fleeing to the pope’s dreaded capitalism.
Confused? Resentful? You bet. The pope has gone Full Naipaul with this nonsense, making his argument utterly incogent – and utterly easy for any sane person to just ignore.
