Coming soon – Columbus day to be replaced with Thundberg day

As regards what they  call “climate science” never mind that at this age these kids can only know what they have been told.

Regardless, we concede the high ground to our youthful moral betters and have some helpful projects for them to demonstrate their sincerity (and of course welcome suggestions for more such projects)

Youth climate movement puts ethics at the center of the global debate

“Polls show the youth are concerned and engaged. Youth activists are explicitly calling attention to the harm climate change is causing now and the harm it threatens for the future – and demanding action. And they are working internationally, in a global movement of solidarity.”

THE “STRIKE’ IS  OVER; THE CHILDREN ARE READY TO DO THEIR PART…Aren’t they?

A great day. Teachers and kiddies get away from the daily grind of ‘schooling’ to do something really important; Scold their parents and elders for pouring as much as 2-300 parts per MILLION of additional carbon into the atmosphere. (Does Greta and her fellow youngsters, or even many or most of their teachers and the “climate change alarmists”, realize that, at the high end, that’s .0003?? That’s three hundredths of 1%!!! (An increase of three hundredths of one percent, is enough to KILL THE PLANET?!)

With the brilliant 16 year old ‘Greta the Magnificent” leading the way, the children (and their enlightened teachers), on this day, September 20, 2019, saved our planet.

So, kids, let’s get to work doing the real saving now that the message has been delivered:

– Hand over your cell phones…those batteries are as dangerous for Gaia as a whole herd of cows farting at the same time.

– Same thing with “Fortnite”. Just get off the internet !

– During the winter months, and late fall and early spring  all elementary and high school children should be in bed by sundown if the planet is to survive. It’ll save considerable energy and burning of fossil fuel by not having to keep to keep lights on in numerous rooms throughout households. Get your homework (if you have any) done during the hours of daylight!

– Children living within two miles of their school must walk to and from school daily; Will save huge amounts of fossil fuel, provide healthy exercise and promote youth fitness. School buses and family autos transporting kids to school are a major cause of climate change. It’s the least  you can do to assure that your children have an earth to live on.

– The families dedicated to saving the planet will forgo annual family vacations. The planet cannot afford frivolous activities.  Amusement parks, national parks and recreational faciilties attract and promote frivolous pursuits that the climate can not afford. And you high school seniors and college kids…forget spring breaks!” in Florida or elsewhere.

– As the Children’s march has shown us, these things are small prices to pay to save the planet for our children and theirs.

– There’s more, and we can bet the children are ready to do their part; let’s hear their ideas for other ways.               DLH
