Inspector General Atkinson “very concerned” (“Better call Saul (Schiff”!)

Trump Whistleblower Saga Threatens to Blow Up 2020 Campaign*

——-

A Dramatic Headline (ABOVE) helped give “legs” to the latest effort by the nasty, hapless congressional Democrats, led, of course, by the increasingly goofy, but  always repugnant, Adam Schitt (as he is popularly known).

To make it simple, so that even folks who rely on NPR and/or PBS for their “news” can understand it, we lay out some key points of this latest “epic” Democrat effort in self-administered sexual satisfaction:

– Some “trusted” Deep Stater, yet identified only as a noble “whistleblower”, heard from somebody or other, that President Trump actually talked to a “Foreign Leader”!

– Distraught by what he/she/’they’ heard about it ‘reported’ that Trump said some ‘impeachable’ things to the foreign leader!

– This “disturbing” information was somehow passed to the “Inspector General of the Intelligence Community” (IG IC), a Michael Atkinson.

– Mr. Atkinson, in virtually all ‘news’ accounts since the story broke is referred to as having been appointed to his position of IG IC “by President Trump (hisself!)”, and is, obviously another of Washington’s “absolutely above reproach, totally dedicated, no-nonsense, impeccably honest, greatest IG ever”, and so on.

– However, it seems the “above reproach, Trump appointee”, Mr. Atkinson, took one look at the unsubstantiated, ostensibly proper (for a President to talk with a foreign leader) “whistleblower” complaint, which reported that Trump’s comments really “concerned” the State Department employee (not a member of the “Intelligence Community”), and apparently, (Atkinson)  also got upset!

– So, what did the “above reproach” IG do? Why, IG Atkinson fired off a letter to…that’s right… ADAM SCHIFF!…calling the complaint,  “one of the most significant and important of the DNI’s responsibilities to the American people.”

– And, that’s where we are…except…how about this ‘dedicated, irreproachable, Michael Atkinson’?

– Readers may recall that whenever a Trump appointee goes before the Senate to gain confirmation, we always look at how many Democratic Senate votes the nominee gets. In these times, it has become very clear that senate Democrats only vote, in any number, to confirm Trump’s nominees if they have sufficient “Deep State” credentials to assure that, as part of the Executive branch, they will work… sometimes openly (i.e.. Christopher Wray), sometimes furtively… to undermine, obstruct, and generally work to destroy his presidency!

– Mr. Atkinson apparently ‘fills the bill’ for the Democrats: While he was nominated by Trump, he also served under GW Bush AND Barack H Obama.

“Atkinson worked for the U.S. Department of Justice for over fifteen years. He was a trial attorney in the Department of Justice Criminal Division, Fraud Section, from 2002 through 2006. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia from 2006 through 2016, where he was the Acting Chief and Deputy Chief of the Fraud and Public Corruption Section. In 2012, he was awarded the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service for his work on a significant public corruption case. Thereafter, he served in Department of Justice National Security Division as the Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General (reporting eventually to Rod Rosenstein, ‘Acting AG’)  for National Asset Protection and as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General.”

(Wikipedia) As to his confirmation as IC IG (don’t forget, NOMINATED BY  TRUMP), there was A Senate hearing, and then, Confirmed by the Senate by Voice Vote.

SAYS IT ALL !? (we think so.)      DLH
