What are police unions going to say about Sanders?

At certain times in the ongoing Democrat presidential nomination battle a candidate may say something that reveals where they are coming from, so to speak, their presumptions about life and society.  When grotesque and if left unresponded to by their supporters, and the party apparatat whose banner Sander’s seeks, it also says as much about them. Therefore we await the response of the Tulsi Gabbards who support Bernie Sanders and the police union leadership so often in bed with Democrats.

The clip is for you to judge for yourself.  It is via the Twitter commentator  Chris Evans. The New York Post published an article about it (link and excerpt below).  Sander’s response is a jaundiced, race-baiting, fear and hate-fomenting, warped, parti-pris revelation about what he thinks the police are inclined to do, what to fear if you are a black -man.  Please allow several seconds to load.

Sanders tells black student he should ‘respect’ police to avoid being gunned down

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders told a black student during a forum at South Carolina’s Benedict College to “respect” police “so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head.”

The Vermont senator’s comments were in response to the male student, who asked: “If I was your son, what advice would you give me the next time I would be pulled over by a police officer,” according to online video.

“I would do my best to identify who that police officer is in a polite way, ask him or her for their name,” Sanders replied during the Second Step Presidential Justice Forum on Saturday at the historically black college.

“I would respect what they are doing so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head, but I would also be very mindful of the fact that, as a nation, we have got to hold police officers accountable for the actions that they commit,” Sanders continued.

The 2020 candidate expanded upon his answer, saying, “So, to answer your question, I would be very cautious if you were my son in terms of dealing with our police officers, but I would also defend my rights and know my rights and make sure, if possible, that police officer’s [body] camera is on.”

During the forum, which was broadcast by MSNBC and hosted several other Democratic presidential candidates, former Vice President and current Democratic primary front-runner Joe Biden was asked the same question by a black female student.
