- After the Election, maybe it’ll be the Delaware “RED Hens”
- Biden Confuses Philadelphia Eagles Logo With His College Emblem
- The Philadelphia Blue Hens ?
Former Vice President Joe Biden confused the Philadelphia Eagles logo with the emblem of his own undergraduate university at a Sunday campaign rally in the City of Brotherly Love.
“I know Philadelphia well,” the former vice president told the crowd at a drive-in rally in a church parking lot. “I married a Philly girl, by the way, and by the way got my Eagles jacket on.”
But Biden’s parka bore the logo of the University of Delaware Blue Hens — where he received his bachelor’s degree.
The mix-up was quickly noticed by President Trump’s campaign.
“I hope all of my fellow @Eagles fans saw Joe Biden claim to be wearing an Eagles jacket today in Philly,” Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh wrote on Twitter. “It was a Delaware Blue Hens jacket.”
Biden’s Sunday Eagles comment was the latest misstep for the gaffe-prone Democratic presidential candidate.
Last month, Biden said “210 million” people died from coronavirus before quickly giving the correct figure at the time — 210,000.
In a similar faux pas in June, he wrongly claimed that 120 million had died of COVID-19.
Trump has recently played videos of Biden’s blunders during his campaign rallies, including in North Carolina on Sunday night.
