So what happened in Scott County Tuesday?

We excoriated “Republicans,” our brothers and sisters from different mothers, yesterday, in an emotional response to the pathetic turnout in Scott County (overall) on Tuesday.  Now we know that off-year municipal /school elections have historically far reduced turnout. But how does one explain less turnout than two years ago given all the information available about problems in our schools, teaching curriculum — CRT and the like, that Democrats are in charge of everything and Republicans won’t show up to vote to help end the dominance?

We are not blaming local Republican leadership, they actually tried to get word out better than past years, not champion level, but showed they are working on it. We are blaming the somnolence of Republican voters who now really have no one to blame more than themselves for the school situation — an important purveyor of culture.

If only a quarter of them showed interest enough to say to themselves — hmmm I know (it is obvious) that the schools are in terrible shape — poorly lead, extravagant with peoples money, academically failing, perhaps more responsible than any other element in society for the degradation we see in the of community and culture, absolutely dominated by liberals  — they might research a little, find out who is running and consider getting off their ass for 20 extra minutes during their errands on Election Day and vote.

Not to be.
