Podcast host Joe Rogan raised concerns during a recent episode over Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, saying that the former vice president’s alleged struggles were not a joke and should be taken seriously.

Rogan, a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), highlighted a clip from last week where Biden forgot the Declaration of Independence.

Biden said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women created by, go, you know the, you know the thing.”

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs recently criticized Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham, for not doing enough to initiate investigations the president and his allies have long called for. (According to Mediaite)

Lou Dobbs accurately reflects our views. However, it is not just Lindsey Graham or lousy journalism who seems to be on a “different page” than President Trump’s voters and supporters of his administration.

The highly touted Attorney General William “get to the bottom of the Obama reign of disgrace” Barr appears to be in the same camp as Graham. Oh…and John Durham?…anybody remember him?

And, of course there’s Christopher Wray (FBI?) and Geena Haspell (CIA)…whose pace is so slow, they seem to be going backward in any effort to impose ‘accountability’ or to reform their corrupted organizations. But, then, we never expected a whole lot from those two…the Democrats were too anxious to confirm them.

Here, it might be appropriate to mention Jeffrey Rosen. “Who?”, you might ask. Way back in May of last year, he was confirmed (along Party lines of course) to replace ROD ROSENSTEIN!

Bet you forgot him. I think he was named to handle day-to-day affairs of DOJ so that Barr could continue to “get to the bottom of” the previous administration’s attempt to overthrow the then-incoming Trump presidency.

But then Barr named Durham to help him with that, and Durham has apparently joined “John Huber” and, maybe O J Simpson, in the hunt for ‘perpetrators’.

(If we do hear from them (not OJ) before the November election, it will be by some carefully ‘sanitized’ report like the DOJ Inspector General’s set of non-conclusions, gentle suggestions on people to indict, and a statement that says in so many words…”wasn’t no political bias goin’ on here”.)

At any rate, if things ‘go south’ for the American people in November, in large part due to the lack of will and competency on the part of those named above, and the DC Establishment, we’ll get either a communist, a senile hack, or a former First Lady (and children’s nutrition expert) in the White House… and you can kiss ‘accountability’ and the “Republic for which…”oh, you know, the “thing”, as a ‘great statesman’ once said…”goodbye”!          dlh

The Speechwriter who coined that ill-fated phrase for G H W Bush has coined another:

“We are not socialists, we’re Democrats.”

Good old Peggy Noonan, the aging superstar columnist (in her own mind), who was the “mastermind” (also only in her mind) behind Ronald Reagan’s immensely successful presidency, has resented every GOP president since the “first” Bush because none ever recognized her genius and thus did not bring her into their administration, to give it the appropriate ‘gravitas’, again plays to her curious band of ‘fans’.

Peggy has always, in our opinion, been a huge fraud. She portrays herself as a ‘conservative Republican’, thus amassing a readership of ‘uninformed easy marks’ who believe that she is, and “never Trumpers”, who know what she is and want to go along with, and promote, her con.

Her columns in recent years, however, have become less and less devoted to continuing the pose. She seldom, if ever, had a kind word for G W Bush since he obviously failed to recognize her genius. With Trump, she apparently decided she could safely drop the con altogether.

From the beginning Peggy has been 100% ABT (Anybody But Trump). We’ve called attention to that fact often in the past.

Her column today in the Wall Street Journal, however, is classic in advancing the “Noonan Narrative”.

Jim Clyburn Saves the Democrats 

It is a ‘heartwarming’ tribute to the “goodness of Joe Biden”…and a tacky hymn of praise to Jim Clyburn.

A subhead in Ms. Peggy’s column says it all:

“He (Clyburn) didn’t just endorse Biden when his campaign was in trouble. He showed him how to revive it.”

Young Turks founder and co-host Cenk Uygur fears the ongoing media cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline will ensure Donald Trump’s reelection.

Here are some of the highlights:

I know the progressive base and I know the establishment, and I know we’re going to go to war, and a war like you’ve never seen because progressives online are not going to go quietly… They’re not going to be like, “Oh, Joe Biden’s senile, we’ll let it go.”

Joe Biden did not get arrested with Nelson Mandela. Who makes up a lie like that? An incredibly stupid person makes up a lie like that; an incredibly immoral person makes up a lie like that.

Biden is not going to beat Trump. Biden is either near senile or actually senile. Watch any of the tapes. Biden lies non-stop. He’s going to get caught. Okay, the media is covering for him, but they’re not going to be able to cover when the Republicans come for him and when Trump comes for him. He’s not going to beat Trump. The establishment candidate is less likely to beat Trump anyway. We just had 2016, the establishment candidate lost to a doofus like Trump.

And now, here we go, an establishment candidate that is far worse, with his mental faculties under question… And you’re going to run that guy against Trump?

Biden has always been one to put his foot in his mouth. Nevertheless, there is no question he is not the man he was during his vice presidential days. He’s physically frail, mentally frail, and there has even been a notable decline over the course of the Democrat primary.

Running for president is exhausting, and I suspect Trump intends to do what he did to Hillary Clinton, which is to work his 2020 opponent — be it 77-year-old Biden, or 78-year-old Bernie — into the ground.

The media can try to cover up Biden’s cognitive decline, or try to spin it as something charming about good ol’ Uncle Joe, but the media world is an entirely different place now. It’s no longer 2008, where the media can cover up Barack Obama’s troubling racial past, or 2012 where they can cover up a Benghazi. The media bent over backwards in threes to cover up Hillary Clinton’s 2016 health issues — and that cover up failed.

What’s more, nothing changes the fact that when Biden is up on that stage, be it at a debate or rally, it’s just him and him alone, and as we have seen over the past few months, this almost always results in disaster.

Keep the following in mind…

One of the reasons Biden sailed through Super Tuesday was the lack of media focus on him the weeks prior. He’d been written off for dead, no one was paying much attention, so the troubling pileup of brain freezes he suffered during those crucial days — including the fantasy about being arrested — got almost no attention.

That all changes now.

And if he wins the primary, the spotlight will intensify even more, as will Trump’s fearlessness when it comes to capitalizing on Biden’s decline.

And if the fake news media don’t want to cover it — New Media and social media will be happy to step in.

Poor Dems:

They really are between a rock and a hard place this election what with Trump’s success.  A brokered convention producing someone other than Biden or Bernie will not do, won’t help. Who would it be that could win (other than by Republican incompetence)?  This is not like days of old when the poobahs could gather in a smoke-filled room and announce the candidate with the minions kept in the dark with few vested in a candidate. Today in such a scenario the party is easily painted as corrupt. The VP pick will not help, has never been able to overcome serious weakness in the nominee.

The emerging nominee, Biden, Bernie or brokered will have adopted the most leftist of views because that is where and what the party structure is. There is no likely saving issue for them as all have already been dialed in or are of a turnable table nature.

This is now all about stopping Bernie from embarrassing the party as a whole with the truth as to where the party is and is headed. It is about avoiding direct repudiation of goals held dear. Better to swallow hard than to choke to death.  Better to concentrate elsewhere, save the House, strategic retreat to a harassment campaign,  pursue-protect-expand state holdings. Friends in the media will do their best to soften the presidential embarrassment this go around.  Prepare for 2024!

And so for Democrats “the chickens have come home to roost”

They cain’t hep it. They been saddled with a candidate with a silver foot in his mouth . . .

Thirdly, Furman gets his ‘thoughtful solutions’ onto the Wall Street Jourfnal’s Op-Ed pages.

Democrats are all in the same car, silent or not

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and times previously, we opined essentially that no Democrat presidential candidates should be referred to as essentially more moderate than the other(s).

Related commentaries this week have reinforced that theme.  Regrettably conservative commentators like Erick Erickson continue to applaud that moderation is reflected in the support for Joe Biden by Democrats. We suppose so, if delusion is to be credited.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I want to focus on something that is infuriating me. It’s the false narrative being perpetuated by many in the media, including Fox News, and many Never Trumpers. The narrative is that Biden’s win is a triumph of “moderation.” That’s a total lie. It is a complete myth.

My friends, Joe Biden is not a “moderate.” He’s not a “centrist.” Maybe he was 30 years ago, but not today.

The difference between Biden and Sanders is that Sanders is honest and not ashamed to admit his agenda is socialist. Biden is mimicking Obama and Warren by disguising his radical agenda with words like “progressive” and “reform.”

Let me remind you who the real Joe Biden is.

Biden supported same-sex marriage before Barack Obama did.

Biden believes in abortion during all nine months of pregnancy, and is committed to forcing you to pay for abortions.

Biden is all in on a big government takeover of healthcare with an even bigger version of Obamacare.

Biden wants to give free healthcare to illegal aliens.

Biden has apologized for deporting illegal aliens.

Biden’s immigration “reform” plan is more foreign aid and no border wall.

Biden is weak on communist China.

Biden is an enthusiastic advocate of the Iran nuclear deal that gave the ayatollah’s regime billions of dollars, put it on a path to nuclear weapons and threatened the security of Israel.

Biden is all in on the radical Green New Deal. He’s even threatened to put energy executives in jail.

Biden will appoint radical justices, like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who will distort the Constitution and use the Supreme Court to impose a radical agenda on the American people.

Biden suggested he would put extremist Beto O’Rouke in charge of his gun control policy.

What about any of this suggests that Joe Biden is a “moderate”? Again, you don’t have to take my word for it.

This media analysis found that Joe Biden’s platform is more liberal than Hillary Clinton’s.

The Washington Post editorial board recently declared, “No, Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden are not ‘centrists.'”

Axios wrote that Biden has “taken positions to the left of Barack Obama — illuminating the liberal drift of the entire party.”

. . .  How dare you – as a conservative – pretend anyone in the Democrats’ field isn’t a full-blown socialist? Furthermore, how are the current luminaries of their party – Obama, Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer, etc. – how are any of them fundamentally different than Bernie Sanders? The answer is they’re not. They’re just better salespeople.

If I heard it once, I heard it a million times during coverage of Tuesday night’s election results. Fawning beltway media praising the “impressive, stunning, momentous” return of the Biden campaign, as if to celebrate a return to establishment normalcy for the swampy elites.

Biden has five decades of big government stank on him and that makes Republican, Democrat, and media establishment as comfortable with him as an old pair of jeans. They’d all love to see Biden win the nomination and go on to defeat President Trump.

They believe Joe Biden is a return to the politics of yesterday, as though that’s romantic. For establishment-types to claim the Democrats’ past is a moderate fairytale, they either stopped paying attention or are willfully misleading. Neither Biden nor any of the Democrats in this 2020 field are moderate.

Mayor Pete, you say? The guy who told a woman in Iowa – on camera, to her face – if she’s pro-life she has no home in the party. Klobuchar, perhaps? She’s supported mandatory, federal gun buyback programs and reversed her position on making English the official language of the United States.

Bloomberg? Lots of brass-buttoned, brandy snifter establishment-types had high hopes for him. Thankfully only American Samoa was duped. The man dripped with contempt for humankind. Blacks, pregnant women, overweight people, gun owners – he was an equal opportunity, nanny-state regulator of the worst order.

Meanwhile, President Trump has been so destructive and disruptive to the game in Washington, D.C., Biden has become the establishment’s support donkey. The folksy, Amtrak-riding, working-class fella from Scranton was always a romanticized version of the former vice president, but it’s certainly the furthest thing from being true today.

Biden wants huge tax hikes, open borders, limitless abortion, and trillions in spending on a man-made climate change hoax that proudly destroys good-paying energy jobs.

Oh, and he wants to put Beto O’Rourke in charge of gun control. Yes, the same Beto O’Rourke who said the government simply “wouldn’t allow” certain legal firearms any longer. “Yes, we’re going to take your guns,” he said proudly in a 2019 debate.

There’s nothing about anyone in the Democrat’s field that’s moderate, including their newly invented front-runner Joe Biden. Sure, they may act moderate. They may say the right moderate things. But how do they govern and vote? What are their policies?   . . .

Maybe it is. But the dirty little secret is they know Biden and every other Democrat want the very same things Bernie does. Quite frankly, they’re not uncomfortable with it either. But they have to win first. So they want their socialism sold softly.

Just don’t call it “moderate.”

Where was the respectful, “Justice Gorsuch” and “Justice Kavanaugh”? Where was all that ‘Senatorial decorum’? And the threat? Schucks! That’s just Chuckie’s true character coming out in the guy.

Why should there be any reference to the “New York Putzhead*” as “Senator Schumer”…least of all, “Senate Minority Leader”? (We think maybe former NY Senator D’Amato may have correctly identified ‘Chuckie’ all along.)           dlh

Sen. Alfonse D’Amato made an impassioned pitch for support at a closed-door breakfast meeting with Jewish leaders this week while denouncing his Democratic challenger, Rep. Charles Schumer, as a “putzhead” who could not match his record on Israel, according to several participants.

The comments, including the Yiddish vulgarism, allegedly were made during a meeting at the Manhattan offices of George Klein, a Republican Jewish activist and real estate developer. Recounting his support for various Jewish causes, D’Amato expressed surprise that polls did not show him faring better among Jews.

“You guys need to get the message out,” D’Amato, who is seeking his fourth term, reportedly told the gathering.One source said the senator also mimicked a Schumer ally, Manhattan Rep. Jerrold Nadler, calling him Jerry “Waddler,” an apparent reference to the congressman’s girth. Nadler had appeared the previous day at a Manhattan press conference defending Schumer from D’Amato’s attacks.
