The Democrat “outrage” over Roger Stone sentence commutation is just Rich

House Democrats promise investigations, legislation after Trump commutes Roger Stone

Democrats are promising an “aggressive investigation” into the commutation.

House Democrats reacted furiously to President Trump’s Friday move to commute the prison sentence of political operative Roger Stone — demanding an investigation and even legislation to stop similar commutations happening again. (Story continued below following:

THE HYPOCRISY IS BEYOND STUNNING;THIS ALONE SHOULD MOTIVATE AMERICAN VOTERS TO RID CONGRESS OF ALL DEMOCRATS…AND A FEW REPUBLICANS OF MITT ROMNEY’S ILK; IT’S THAT BAD!

Franklin D. Roosevelt: 2,819 pardons
Harry S. Truman: 1,913 pardons
Dwight D. Eisenhower: 1,110 pardons
Woodrow Wilson: 1,087 pardons

Calvin Coolidge: 773 pardons
Herbert Hoover: 672 pardons

(Note: In the links the distinction between ‘pardons’ and ‘commutations’ is spelled out. i.e. Arpaio was a ‘pardon’, Stone is a ‘commutation’)    dlh

From the far left:
https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/07/trump-roger-stone-pardon-commutation/

And here’s Politifact, twisting itself into a pretzel to “prove” how much more legally and honestly Obama used the presidential pardon and commutation powers:

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/feb/24/facebook-posts/misleading-based-numbers-say-obama-and-not-trump-a/

But how will most Americans even learn of the absurdity of the Democrats’ posturing? With the exception of Fox News, the facts of this story are not presented.

And possibly more sadly is that Bill Barr and John Durham are content to delay the facts of the Democratic Party’s and Obama administration’s truly horrifying behavior, until AFTER the Nov. election !

The Barr/Durham action, rather ‘inaction’, seems to have only one plausible explanation…they are of the Deep State!
————–
Remember Marc Rich?

From the N Y Post, Jan.2016: Fifteen years ago this month, on Jan. 20, 2001, his last day in office, Bill Clinton issued a pardon for international fugitive Marc Rich. It would become perhaps the most condemned official act of Clinton’s political career. A New York Times editorial called it “a shocking abuse of presidential power.” The usually Clinton-friendly New Republic noted it “is often mentioned as Exhibit A of Clintonian sliminess.”

Congressman Barney Frank added, “It was a real betrayal by Bill Clinton of all who had been strongly supportive of him to do something this unjustified. It was contemptuous.” Marc Rich was wanted for a list of charges going back decades. He had traded illegally with America’s enemies including Ayatollah Khomeini’s Iran, where he bought about $200 million worth of oil while revolutionaries allied with Khomeini held 53 American hostages in 1979.

Rich made a large part of his wealth, approximately $2 billion between 1979 and 1994, selling oil to the apartheid regime in South Africa when it faced a UN embargo. He did deals with Khadafy’s Libya, Milosevic’s Yugoslavia, Kim Il Sung’s North Korea, Communist dictatorships in Cuba and the Soviet Union itself. Little surprise that he was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List.

Facing prosecution by Rudy Giuliani in 1983, Rich fled to Switzerland and lived in exile.
——-
And then, there’s Obama’s clemency for a convicted terrorist, Lopez Rivera and “Chelsea” Manning (Politifact, as usual, tried to make these Obama actions look right and noble):

Manning and Lopez Rivera were granted commutations (as Trump’s was for Roger Stone), or shortened sentences.

Manning was an Army intelligence analyst convicted of leaking American military and diplomatic information through Wikileaks in 2010. Manning’s 35-year sentence was the longest ever imposed in the United States for a leak conviction, but it was cut short at seven years when Obama commuted, or shortened, her sentence.

A transgender woman in a men’s military prison, Manning attempted suicide twice.

Lopez Rivera helped lead the Armed Forces of National Liberation, a Puerto Rican nationalist movement. The group’s most famous bombing, in 1975, resulted in four deaths, although no one was charged with carrying it out. He received a 55-year sentence for seditious conspiracy, attempted robbery, explosives and vehicle theft that was extended 15 years after conspiracy to escape.

Lopez Rivera was the last remaining member of the Armed Forces of National Liberation still in prison. In 1999, he rejected President Bill Clinton’s conditional clemency offer (he refused to express ‘remorse’; but that later was apparently OK with Obama). Obama shortened his sentence to 36 years.

But Nancy and the Democrats Are Wetting Their Pants over How Terribly Trump Has Abused His Powers….

Democrats are promising an “aggressive investigation” into the commutation.

“President Trump’s decision to commute the sentence of top campaign advisor Roger Stone, who could directly implicate him in criminal misconduct, is an act of staggering corruption,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement on Saturday. She went on to promise that Congress would “take action” to prevent future such commutations: “Legislation is needed to ensure that no President can pardon or commute the sentence of an individual who is engaged in a cover-up campaign to shield that President from criminal prosecution.”

The White House announced Friday that Trump has signed an Executive Grant of Clemency for the colorful political operative, who was sentenced to more than three years in prison after he was convicted last year on seven counts of obstruction, witness tampering and making false statements to Congress in relation to FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

Stone, who has appealed the conviction and denies wrongdoing, was due to report to prison on July 14 to serve 40 months. But the White House said the president had commuted the sentence “in light of the egregious facts and circumstances surrounding his unfair prosecution, arrest, and trial.”

“Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency,” White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement Friday night. “There was never any collusion between the Trump Campaign, or the Trump Administration, with Russia. Such collusion was never anything other than a fantasy of partisans unable to accept the result of the 2016 election.”

The White House also cited medical risk as a reason for the commutation, given Stone’s age and the coronavirus pandemic.

The most dangerous virus this country is faced with is called the Democrat Party

  • Hopefully we can shake the fever

This Susan Stamper Brown article at Townhall is a classic for this political season. Many other articles hosted by the conservative outlets at our recommended  link sites are also compelling expositions of what this country is going through and what is at stake.  It is impossible to pick the best but this is certainly one of .  The title doesn’t quite reach its import perhaps unless it is interpreted to reflect the sucking chest wound to freedom and prosperity that is the Democrat Party.  The battle is no longer well-meaning rivalry over degrees of government or “best policy to the same goal” (It actually never was). Set forth here for your critique.  Many more informative and inspiring articles at Townhall.

Why It Sucks to be a Democrat in 2020

No one should feel sorry for the Democratic Party because they are reaping what they’ve sown.

From elected officials like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) calling for the dismantling of America’s “oppressive” economic and political systems — to the violent third world-like cities they run — the Democratic Party is in a death spiral of its own making.

We should be thankful.

Democrats have had plenty of time to get it right. The Democratic Party is the oldest voter-based political party globally and the longest existing one in the United States. You’d think wisdom would come with time.

Instead, look at them. All you see is negativity. They think America is evil because they filter everything through the prism of lies, hate, doom and despair. There once was a difference between Marxists and Democrats. No longer. That’s what they get for sleeping with the enemy.

Now they hate America the same way tyrannical governments do.

They say America is evil. Tell that to the desperate protesters in Hong Kong. (They have a window to America’s future if Democrats gain control.) Leftists ignore that Hong Kong protesters are not demanding the regime gets woke; they want freedom. They aren’t waving BLM and rainbow flags; they’re waving the American flag. Too bad we can’t trade out five leftists for every Hong Kong protester.

Democrats destroy everything they touch.

Consider their accomplishments: They banned school prayer, legalized abortion and support infanticide. They’ve secularized society, replaced God with government and personal charity with social justice. They’ve substituted religion for reason, blurred the lines between males and females and destroyed the nuclear family. They’ve lorded over the destruction of America’s youth, brainwashing kids to the point they hate America, their parents and themselves.

Look at their cities: Democrats’ cities burn as the stench of human feces fills the air. During the pandemic, pot shops thrive while businesses and churches stay closed. Lawlessness prevails as mobs mete out a perverted form of justice where good people get punished and criminals get rewarded. Black-on-black murders rise. Babies get shot without a whisper, while anarchists decimate whole city blocks because of the murder of one man.

Their world is dark, dangerous and violent. They scream about the very things their policies created. Things like racism, victimization, oppression, injustice and discrimination–as if yelling about them somehow deflects blame.

They can’t help themselves, something Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr. described in his book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.”

Rossiter says a leftist’s mind sees the world through the prism of “pity, sorrow, neediness, misfortune, poverty, suspicion, mistrust, anger, exploitation, discrimination, victimization, alienation and injustice.” They view people as “poor, weak, sick, wronged, cheated, oppressed, disenfranchised and exploited.”

Forget personal responsibility. They blame everything on capitalism, global warming, white people, police officers, Christians, America’s founders, guns and conservatives, to name a few. And Trump. Trump is to blame for everything under the sun.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is the poster child for the “Hate America” crowd. During her last Christmas in the White House, Michelle said she was feeling hopeless. Hopeless, after eight years and all the extraordinary opportunities she had as America’s first lady. Undoubtedly, all the designer gown-wearing, Hollywood hobnobbing, $100-per-serving wagyu steak-indulging and taxpayer-funded globetrotting didn’t fix the hopelessness which ailed her.

It goes to show you that leftism is like a disease that won’t be satisfied until it devours all of you. It’s hard to be hope-filled when you’re eaten up with bitterness and resentment over “evil” America.

During an interview, Michelle told Oprah Winfrey, “We are feeling what not having hope feels like”—although her husband, Mr. Hope-and-Change himself, had eight years to propagate hope had he not been so preoccupied with change.

With “hope” like that, no wonder Americans voted for change.

Democrats will never be happy until everyone feels as miserable as they do—and they won’t rest until you take a knee and hate America too.

Until the Chinese coronavirus pandemic hit, America was on the rise and returning to its former greatness –despite Democrats’ Russia conspiracy theories, failed impeachment schemes and attempts to overthrow the 2016 election.

Nonetheless, those of us who voted for Trump in 2016 still believe.

We believe in God…loving our families…caring for the weak…protecting the unborn. We believe in the U.S. Constitution…holding dear to truth…clinging to our guns…embracing our freedoms. We believe in law and order… backing the blue…loving our military. We believe in equal rights and equal opportunity …embracing personal responsibility…encouraging hard work.

And despite current circumstances, we still believe this extraordinarily exceptional country is the world’s last great hope. We believe America’s best days are before us. And more than ever, we believe leftism must be defeated.

If that, my friends, is Democrats’ definition of oppression and hopelessness, it sucks to be them.

Breaking News (now over a year ago) and to what avail?

The victims (all of us) of the political persecution of Trump based on lies, intended as a coup or to spoil reelection prospects, deserve timely resolve or the plotters may achieve their goal. The coup is ongoing until its illegality is exposed

In May, (of 2019) U.S. attorney general William Barr selected Durham, a longtime prosecutor with a résumé so sterling it nearly glows, to investigate the origins of the special counsel’s probe…

WE DIDN’T READ THE FINE PRINT…we just bought the usual ‘swamp line’:

REPORT: Durham Under Pressure to Wrap Up Spygate Investigation, Could ‘Punt it to After the Election’

“John Durham, the US Attorney from Connecticut appointed to investigate the origins of Spygate, is reportedly under pressure to wrap up his probe by the end of summer.” (Fox News)

“However, according to two sources who spoke to Fox News, Durham could wait to initiate prosecutions or reveal his findings until after the 2020 presidential election..!!!

“The source also told Fox News that Durham “does not want this to be viewed political,” and the closer it gets to November, Durham could “punt it to after the election.”

We just bought the usual ‘Swamp Line”…Let’s see now:

We went back over stories reported at the time Barr named Durham to do this all important (to the future of the USA) investigation. The “book” on Durham, as it always is when there’s a Trump appointment that “Republicans” and Democrats are ‘happy with’ is “sterling”.

We shoulda seen this coming. Some ‘highlights’:

– (Durham)…enjoys a ‘bipartisan reputation’ and successful track record in investigating high-profile cases including Whitey Bulger and CIA abuse of terrorism suspects. (Well, of course!)

– Durham became a Justice Department lawyer in 1982 and has conducted special investigations for both the Republican and Democratic Parties (BOTH!..how much fairer and ‘bi-partisan’ does it get??)

– Former Attorney General Janet Reno commissioned Durham to investigate the FBI’s relationship with informant and Boston mobster Whitey Bulger in 1999

– …(Durham) …further examined the CIA’s handling of detainees at the request of former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. under the Obama administration in 2009, according to The NYT.

– President Donald Trump nominated Durham in 2017 to be Connecticut’s U.S. attorney. Durham received bipartisan support and the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed him in February 2018 (and what has been Trump’s experience with his nominees that have received Democrat, especially ‘unanimous’, support?)

–  “John Durham has earned immense respect as a no-nonsense, fierce, and fair prosecutor,” Democratic Connecticut Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy said when they recommended him to Trump…(If you know of two more partisan Democratic senators in DC, let us know)!!

– “Colleagues say Durham is thorough and cautious in deciding whether a case deserves to be prosecuted,” a TIME Magazine article noted of Durham in 2009. “But once he fixes on a target, the veteran lawyer usually catches his prey.” (Oooh! Look out Democrats!)

– “Other than an overwhelming commitment to the cause of justice, the two great devotions of John’s life are his Catholic faith and his family,” John Durham’s longtime friend and colleague, Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Leonard C. Boyle (uh, yeah. ‘devotion to a “Higher Loyalty”, huh? Seems we heard something like that somewhere else…oh yeah, Jim Whatsisname))                  dlh

Further comment on the “But, What If…” fictionalized account

“The family will receive a substantial, but undisclosed, sum from the city. Mourners will note that, however much the family received can never be enough for what was taken from them by the systemic racism, rampant in this country.”…….

…..BUT, WHAT IF??… (commentary by dlh in these pages two days ago) is a fictionalized account of a developing story.. But, the speculation that, if there were an actual outcome as depicted, ..”The family will receive a substantial, but undisclosed, sum from the city. Mourners will note that, however much the family received can never be enough for what was taken from them by the systemic racism, rampant in this country…”  has some credibility based on actual history of such tragic events:

– Michael Brown’s family got $1.5 million
– Trayvon Martin’s family received “more than…” $1 million
– Eric Garner’s family was awarded $5.9 million

(How much the lawyers representing the families got from the settlements was not disclosed.)

June 23, 2017, Source: Associated Press

ST. LOUIS — The insurance company for the city of Ferguson, Missouri, paid $1.5 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Michael Brown’s parents, the city attorney said Friday.
——
(CBS) SANFORD, Fla. – Trayvon Martin’s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million, against a Florida homeowners association at the development where their teenage son was killed more than a year ago, The Orlando-Sentinelreports.

“The family will receive a substantial, but undisclosed, sum from the city. Mourners will note that, however much the family received can never be enough for what was taken from them by the systemic racism, rampant in this country.”
——
(CBS) NEW YORK — The relatives of an unarmed black man who died after being put in a white police officer’s chokehold said Tuesday that the $5.9 million settlement they reached with the city wasn’t a victory as they continued pressing for federal civil rights charges.

“The victory will come when we get justice,” Eric Garner’s mother, Gwen Carr, said a day after the $5.9 million settlement was announced.

Ed note: Of note is that the accused police or citizen,  even if found innocent are not part of the settlements, deep pockets are.  That is the “system”

Another ‘expert’ psychological observation

  • Psychologist – heal thyself
  • Sicko Trump niece writes a book — she is supporting Biden — obviously she is not an expert in dementia, the criminal mind, nepotism as a social pathology, actual lies, plagiarizers, gropers . . .

PRESIDENT’S NIECE WRITES A BOOK…SHE’S ONE SICK, BITTER ‘PUPPY’

Mary Trump’s prescription

– a mental health expert with serious mental health issues writes about an uncle she hates

– Mary Trump is a very bitter person, jealous beyond belief that her father didn’t achieve the heights his brother did (and other grievances)

– “How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Person”, she writes.

– from the excerpts in the Wall Street Journal, it’s obvious that, her assessment, true or not, “her family” also created a bitter, vindictive, treacherous, greedy, self-alienated and, apparently, not-too-bright liberal hater.

– She admits in the book that she leaked “tax returns and other highly confidential financial documentation to The New York Times…Pulitzer-winning 2018 investigation of Trump’s wealth origins and tax dodges. ”

Mary Trump should not be confused with a regular American “concerned” about her country and wanting only to insure that its future is in the hands of people of good will, stable emotions, and sound judgement.

She is a rabid leftist, who admitted that election night, 2016 was “…one of the worst nights of my life…”.

As to her own intelligence and judgement, Mary Trump actively supported Hillary Clinton, whom she described as “an extraordinary human being and public servant.”

And, also predictably, one source notes that “her bio is #blacklivesmatter, “she/her/hers.”

Some excerpts from the Journal article give readers an opportunity to make their own judgement of Ms. Trump’s character:

“I had to take Donald down,” Ms. Trump wrote in “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man…”

“I grabbed copies of my grandfather’s wills, floppy disks with all of the depositions from the lawsuit, and some of my grandfather’s bank records—all of which I was legally entitled to as part of the lawsuit—and stuffed them into my bags,” she wrote.

“Ms. Trump gave them to a reporter for the (New York) Times, who in turn handed her “a burner phone so we could communicate more securely going forward. We weren’t taking any chances.” Ms. Trump wrote that she later provided additional documents to Times reporters.”

Question: Is this not typical of the kind of people who have obviously sought to enrich themselves by writing a book smearing President Trump with dubious charges, provably false allegations, and information in their possession only because they were trusted by the man they betrayed? (That list is long and runs the gamut from former high officials in the Trump administration like John Bolton to wannabe’s like Omarosa Manigault Newman. (Self-described: “Born into the depths of extreme poverty, Omarosa Manigault Newman rose to become the “only African American senior advisor to the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”)

And, finally, here’s an especially favorite excerpt of mine: “Ms. Trump, who has a doctorate in clinical psychology, wrote that President Trump’s “pathologies are so complex and his behaviors so often inexplicable that coming up with an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis would require a full battery of psychological and neuropsychological tests that he’ll never sit for.”

On the other hand, it seems that Ms. Trump herself has some “complex pathologies and behaviors so…inexplicable that coming up with an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis would require a full battery of psychological and neuropsychological tests…”.

We suggest that Mary Trump, as viciously vindictive and seriously troubled as she apparently is, probably will “never sit for” such a “battery of tests” herself! But, perhaps, should.

No Sh-t, Chuck … ya think?

Chuck Grassley: John Durham will be too late if prosecutions begin after 2020 election

by Jerry Dunleavy, Washington Examiner Justice Department Reporter |July 6, 2020

This would be the most forgivable explanation for Durhams silence and delay. Democrats must be hit now, hard and repeatedly.

A top Republican tagged President Trump in a tweet encouraging U.S. Attorney John Durham to initiate any planned prosecutions as part of his inquiry into the Russia investigation before the 2020 election.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and a longtime critic of the Trump-Russia investigations, warned Monday that waiting until after November’s contest might be too late.

“#CommonSense. IF NO PROSECUTIONS TIL AFTER ELECTIONS SAD SAD,” Grassley tweeted, telling Trump to think about the case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the actions taken by special counsel Robert Mueller, and the Democrat-led, Ukraine-related impeachment effort that ended with his acquittal by the Republican-held Senate in February.

“The deep state is so deep that ppl get away w political crimes,” the Iowa Republican wrote. “Durham shld be producing some fruit of his labor.”

Some critics of the Durham investigation have raised concerns about there being an “October surprise.”

Attorney General William Barr said in May that Durham, who is investigating misconduct by federal law enforcement and intelligence officials, will likely not conduct a criminal inquiry into former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

“I have a general idea of how Mr. Durham’s investigation is going. … There’s a difference between an abuse of power and a federal crime. Not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime,” Barr said during a press conference. “Now, as to President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man. Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.”

Barr told Fox News in June that he expects there to be “developments” in Durham’s investigation into the Russia investigation this summer even as he hinted that it would continue through the November election.

The FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, code-named Crossfire Hurricane, began in the summer of 2016. It was later wrapped into Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation, which concluded that Russia interfered in 2016 in a “sweeping and systematic fashion” but “did not establish” any criminal conspiracy between the Russians and the Trump campaign.

Barr blamed the coronavirus pandemic for a “slowing down” of Durham’s ability to interview witnesses. He declined to say whether there has been any grand jury activity but said that Durham “has been working where he can on other matters that aren’t affected by the pandemic.”

The attorney general previously confirmed that Durham’s investigation includes a deep dive into the 2017 intelligence community assessment on Russian interference during the 2016 election, and Durham is reportedly looking into whether former CIA Director John Brennan took politicized actions to pressure the rest of the intelligence community to match his conclusions about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s motivations. Durham is also examining whether the Crossfire Hurricane investigation was properly predicated, even after the Department of Justice inspector general said it was justified.

Durham is additionally looking into the unmasking controversy as well as potentially criminal classified leaks.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s December report criticized the Justice Department and the FBI for at least 17 “significant errors and omissions” related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants against Trump campaign associate Carter Page in 2016 and 2017 and for the bureau’s reliance on British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s dossier. Steele worked at the behest of the opposition research firm Fusion GPS, funded by Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee through the Perkins Coie law firm.

Recently declassified footnotes showed that the FBI was aware that Steele’s dossier may have been compromised by Russian disinformation and still used it.

Scott County Supervisors got an earful about mandatory masks

Forty plus in total showed up to oppose mandatory mask wearing as proposed by Supervisor Ken Croken (see earlier post) All were prepared to address the Supervisors in person at the meeting but COVID edicts restricted the public TO THREE people in the room ((room capacity under COVID to 16 wit the remaining seats comprised of supervisors, staff and press. The majority of speakers who were able to address the Supervisors opposed the measure. More on the subject in later post.

BUT, WHAT IF??… another “imagined” outcome; another “Rayshard” ??

ER nurse beaten with cane in unprovoked attack inside Bronx subway station

BUT, WHAT IF??…

…ONE CAN IMAGINE THE CAREFULLY ‘CROPPED’ PHOTO THE MEDIA WOULD SHOW US AS THEY REPORTED HOW THIS ASSAILANT WAS ‘GUNNED DOWN’ BY AN OFF-DUTY POLICEMAN AS HE ATTACKED AN ER NURSE IN A SUBWAY STATION.

…OF COURSE, IN THIS CASE, HE WAS NOT ‘GUNNED DOWN’ DURING HIS UNPROVOKED ATTACK ON THE 53 YEAR OLD NURSE. HE IS ON THE LOOSE AND POLICE HOPE THAT SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HIM, SEEING THE PHOTO, WILL REPORT HIM.

…LUCKY FOR BOTH HIM AND THE POLICE…UNLUCKY FOR THE VICTIM.

It’s not hard to imagine the aftermath of a different scenario, however.

What is most likely to have followed if the cane wielding attacker had been confronted in the process, and, in self defense if attacked, a white police officer had to shoot him rather than take a beating, be disabled and perhaps have his gun stolen?

In today’s anti-police, faux-racist hysteria, most likely this guy would be portrayed as one more victim of racist police behavior toward black men.

Joe Biden would what to know why the officer did not show some ‘better judgement’ …”why didn’t he ‘tase’ him, or just shoot him in the leg?”

Family members of the assailant will tell reporters that the officer didn’t attempt to “de-escalate the situation”; other close family members will say their beloved relative suffered from a ‘severe mental impairment and the officer was typically, in the case of a black man, too quick to use the most lethal measure he could, instead of attempting to subdue the attacker with a lesser means.”

And, of course, the Reverend Al will tell a hastily organized ‘impromptu’ press conference how the nurse had initiated the confrontation with a barrage of racial epithets.

Flowers and teddy bears will quickly appear at the site of the incident along with notes of sympathy and tributes to the one time ‘choir boy’, who aspired to be a doctor, his life cut tragically short.

It would be noted that the nurse was released from the ER within hours and was able to return to her job in the Emergency Room the next morning. “How serious could the attack have been?”, they’ll ask.

Marches will be held throughout the nation, the name of the latest victim of ‘police racism’ to be added to the ‘tragically growing record’.

The family will receive a substantial, but undisclosed, sum from the city. Mourners will note that, however much the family received can never be enough for what was taken from them by the systemic racism, rampant in this country.       dlh

“An emergency room nurse heading home from her shift over the weekend was brutally beaten with a cane inside a Bronx subway station in an unprovoked attack, police said Monday. Irina Langdon, 53, was on the mezzanine in the 149th St.-Grand Concourse No. 4 line station about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday when a man attacked her without warning, cops said. He struck her multiple times with a cane in the head, arms and ribs.” (N.Y.Daily News)

Oppose Mandatory Mask Wearing in Scott County

  • Not a time to be neutral
  • Related reading to follow:

Idiot Croken makes his case on a roof, without wearing the mask. Stay up there Ken, please.

Supervisor, hard-core Hillary supporter, former spokes-hole for local Genesis Hospitals Ken Croken is reported by reliable sources for and by Democrats, the QC Times, to be sponsoring mandatory mask wearing in public.  Croken has indicated he will introduce his “resolution”  at Tuesday morning’s  Scott County Supervisor’s meeting (location and information below).  It is written that he was inspired by the Democrat Muscatine Mayor who has said she will issue such a mandate:

From the QC Democrat news outlet:

His motion would mandate face coverings “in all public areas of the county when and where maintaining a safe social distance is impossible or impractical,” according to a news release.

In response local freedom champions have set forth contact information to the County Supervisors (and Croken in particular).  An online petition is being circulated and most importantly, a show-up and be counted and voice your opinion call for attendance at the meeting.  From our sources:

SCOTT COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, 2020, as the Committee of the Whole – 8:00 am Board Room, 1st Floor, Administrative Center.  You can also call in for the meeting.  At a minimum call 563-326-8749 and leave a message for Supervisor Croken that you are against mandatory face masks in Scott County!

One of the items for discussion down the agenda is Croken’s Motion requiring the wearing of masks in all public spaces throughout Scott County whenever the ability to maintain safe social distance is impossible or impractical.  This is beyond the Board’s authority.

If you do not want to be forced to wear a mask show up!

Friends this is NOT a time to be “neutral” about mandates – if you oppose this chicken little nonsense please forward to your lists or other avenues. (see below)

The local news has been hyping increased cases of “COVID” with sensational headlines and little context in the stories. Of course there are more cases due to more testing — and so what — is the death rate up or are hospitals being overwhelmed??? NO!!! The people being discovered with it are younger and if you are less than 45 your chance of even a serious complication is close to zero. And not much more for decades in age after that. The more we learn the more we can’t trust the “experts.” There is no good reason for mandatory masks in general, rather focus efforts on truly vulnerable locations / populations.

End this pall, this self-induced malaise intended to destroy this country’s healthy freedoms
