What Informs the Views of “Minor League Journalists” i.e. MLJ’s at the QC Times and the A-D?

It is, perhaps, a naive, but nevertheless, firm belief of mine that the overwhelming majority of minor league journalists (MLJ’s) like those at the QC Times and the Argus-Dispatch are not malicious left wing ideologues like those of the mainstream media and wire services such as the AP.

Instead, I prefer to see them as mal- or mis-informed. Their opinions, and thus their coverage is almost exclusively influenced by the sources noted above.

This column by Edwin Olshaker in American Thinker (link here) , I believe, underscores my theory. Nowhere in wire services dispatches or in columns and op-eds of sources which the MLJ’s rely on for what fills their news pages and editorial pieces was this piece of historical record (Sec. Clinton’s comments)  recalled. So busy was the mainstream media in their effort to crush the Romney candidacy, they could not have, even had they wanted to (insert loud guffaw here), given any space to the information provided in this piece. Information, incidentally, that is devastating to the MSM’s portrayal of a “disastrous” Romney foreign  venture.

While the QCT did provide columns analyzing Romney’s overseas trip from “all sides” (see Krauthammer, Buchanan, Marcus’s columns in Sunday’s edition edition, here,  here,  and here, where would one guess the reliably liberal/progressive Editorial Board of the Times be likely to get the”hard news” of Romney’s trip which will inform and reinforce their view of the candidate in the weeks ahead?            DLH
