Harry Reid: the embodiment of all the radical left’s worst characteristics —

A tearful farewell to a great leader; No. for Democrats, that’s not a parody

(Our suggestion for a retirement gift for good old Harry: exercise equipment for Harry’s bathroom shower door)

From WaPo:

Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden to headline tribute to Harry Reid    (excerpts)

“Next week’s tribute will include speeches from Clinton and Biden as well as two senators who have figured prominently in Reid’s 12 years as Democratic leader: Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Reid’s longtime sparring partner in one of the Capitol’s most legendary up-and-down relationships, and Charles E. Schumer…”

Good ol’ Mitch. Let bygones be bygones. Wouldn’t the simultaneous retirement of the Senate leaders of both parties be great?

The event will also include the unveiling of Reid’s portrait, which will hang in the Capitol corridors near the Senate chamber. It’s an unusually quick turnaround for a portrait unveiling, something that usually takes place several years after a leader retires.

Frankly the sooner his portrait is hung in post offices, in case he gets away, the better.

Earlier Thursday, Reid will deliver his final floor speech, one of the most anticipated farewell addresses in some time. Tied for third-longest-serving Senate leader, Reid has been very successful and very controversial.

The article actually referred to him as “soft-spoken.”   They must be referring to his irritating decibel level as he semi-whispers slanders or talks out of the side of his mouth, rather than to any genteelness.  “Most  anticipated farewell address” . . . hmmm  . . .  if that means “longed for” then sure.
