About draining the swamp: Rosenstein was Mr. Wonderful in DC

While V’pac was among first to say, “don’t think so…”

Can readers recall anything uttered very critical of Rod Rosenstein untilTrump’s latest tweet…other than several references in Veritaspac which strongly suggested Rod was a part of the Comey/Mueller/Rosenstein “oust Trump” cabal?

And now: Donald J. Trump  ✔@realDonaldTrump

I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt

I suppose Rachel Brand is the best we can hope for if indeed Rosenstein recuses himself (I’d rather see him resign from DOJ). My only problem is I have little trust in the Washington “lawyer crowd”. I’m not necessarily comforted by the fact she was appointed by G W Bush…in retrospect, there aren’t many GWB appointments I’m grateful for.

Jonathon Turley chips in: (from The Hill)

“If this account is false and Rosenstein is not thinking of recusing himself, he should be. He recommended that Comey be fired. That made him a critical player and potential witness to the events underlying the obstruction allegations. On this point, Trump had a point in the tweet today when he objected that he is “being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!” It is assumed that Trump was referring to Rosenstein. While Rosenstein is not the one investigating Turmp, given the appointment of a special counsel, he does have an ongoing (albeit limited) supervisory role in the investigation.”
