A lot full of reasons not to shop at Marcus Lamoni’s Camping World

  • For what shall it (The) Profit a man, if he shall gain the whole (Camping) World, and lose his own soul?    Mark 8:36 KJV

Failed former Florida Democrat legislative candidate Marcus Lamonis star of the ~~realty ~~ TV show The Profit and CEO of RV seller Camping World last August  according to the conclusion of liberal spinmaster Snopes ” contrary to his own inaccurate descriptions of his CNBC interview, Lemonis did strongly appear to have suggested that anyone who agreed with President Trump’s controversial remarks about the events of 12 August 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia, should not shop at his stores.”

That is not all he said in the interview at CNBC (listen to interview) —  more generally he  referred to himself and others as being “horrified by what we are seeing from this administration” and taking the Democrat line,  denying that Trump was responsible for recent good economic news.

Then this sponsor of NASCAR* looked at his hold cards and issued an apology, except it wasn’t. Instead he rattled on as incoherent as can be.  Read his full non-apology here.

So now we find that this postureer so willing to take Trump’s words and spin them in the worst way, because that is who he is, has a practice of spinning customers so that they are upside down with payments, also because that is who he is, TV persona notwithstanding.

What follows is a personal production of Kevin Frazer a friend of this publication who happens to have more than 50 years of experience in the RV sales business.  RARE DO YOU SEE FORTHRIGHTNESS OF THIS SORT.

We note that Camping World has a constant appeal for sales reps on the various employment help wanted pages.  Why do they have trouble keeping people if the compensation is as good as they advertise? Could it be a lot of former salespeople leave because of scruples? It might be as lucrative as advertised if as a salesperson you subscribe to their tactics. But we think you can sell being up-front and honest with people and everyone sleeps at night.  That is Cheyenne Camping Center’s value system.

If I had experienced the sort of sell them the Lemon(i)s’ way I would have kicked the salesman rather than the tires and been out the door. Whatever happened to presenting the truth and asking for sales on that basis?  It still happens at Cheyenne Camping Center, we know that for sure.

This is the same guy who is in charge of Gander Mountain and has announced the reopening of some the stores. Brilliant salesmanship that most likely caused the closure of the chain. But then, a Demonrat does what a Demonrat does, ruin everything they touch.

FACT CHECK: Did the CEO of Camping World Tell Trump …

…Supporters Not to Shop at His Stores? Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis didn’t target President Trump’s supporters as such …?

“Snopes”, the leftist “fact-checker” website, predictably rushed to liberal Lemonis’s defense.

According to Snopes, Lemonis did not say that he did not want Trump supporters as customers of his business. The website instead framed Lemonis’s remarks on the issue as being only the most righteous and praiseworthy, very nearly as though straight from the Almighty herself.

Lemonis only refuses to do business with people who are “Ok with “hate…racism…bigotry of any kind…or (who) are trying to hurt people of any kind…”. In other words, the righteous Mr. Lemonis only has an issue with President Trump and those supporters of his, all of whom, in his view are obviously OK with all of those evils
    – “On 21 August, Marcus Lemonis released a video message addressing the controversy surrounding his CNBC remarks. In it, he *inaccurately* described (sic?) what he said on Power Lunch in the following ways :

    – “For the record, what I said is that if you are OK with what happened in Charlottesville, what was said and what was done, I’m not ok with it.

    – “So from my position, once and for all, loud and clear – what I said is that if you are ok with what was said in Charlottesville and what was done, then I’m not ok with it.

    – :I’m not moving from my position that violence and hate are not OK from anybody, about anything.”

    And then there’s this one:

“I will not change my position, no matter how hurt I get in this situation, that if you are OK with violence and if you are OK with hate and if you are OK with racism of any kind, or bigotry of any kind, or you are trying to hurt people of any kind, I’m not OK with it.”

Thus, hath spoken the prophet of Camping World: Only thee without sin can buy your camping gear from me!
It will never rain on your campsite if you buy your stuff from Saint Marcus Lemonis
