Primary results (preliminary)

Our endorsement results

For Second District US House primary results at this writing  there is no readily available definitive figure.  Neither Peters or Caligiuri have posted anything on their websites as of this minute. From looking at a smattering of county results it looks like Peters won handily against write-in candidate Ginny Caligiuri.  Peters received 91.2% in Scott County with Caligiuri receiving just 8.8%. It was credible results for Caligiuri all things considered but disappointing.

The result in my interpretation at this time is that the Christian community fell on its face as to any wide-spread get out the vote attempt and too many Trump supporters are not interested in Republican politics, to their and Trump’s great loss as to sustaining his agenda most effectively. There were notable exceptions to efforts by individuals as individuals in Scott County to alert people to the genuine race for the congressional nomination.  Hats off to Joe and Dana Huss.

Republican turn-out was dwarfed 2 to 1 by Democrat turn-out just about everywhere. The Democrat governor race brought them out. Hubbel won as predicted.

Mike Fennelly won the nod in the Scott County Treasurer’s race.  Congratulations. Newcomer Guy, our pick, performed well at 43% or so.

As for the Ag Secretary race, Naig won the county with our pick Zumbach running third in this county. However it looks like the nomination will have to go to the state convention as  Naig did not achieve the statutory minimum.  QC Times reports.
