This Saturday July 19, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Moline 27th street I74 overpass  a demonstration is planned to protest the continuing tragic failure to enforce immigration laws and to control the border.  A consortium of organizations concerned about the surge on the border and amnesty oriented immigration reforms that will essentially encourage illegal immigration, have called for protests in every state. The listing is available by visiting Make Them Listen.

Elsewhere in Iowa

Pending other communities announcing rallies, Iowans nearer to the “West Cost”  can be part of the demonstration at Council Bluffs’ River’s Edge Park at the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. It is also this Saturday but from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.

Make Them Listen includes the following information about the Council Bluffs rally:

(The rally) is being held by the Louise Sollowin Memorial Scholarship Foundation in memory of Louise Sollowin – A 93 year old victim of illegal immigration Brutally beaten and raped by an illegal alien who succumbed to her injuries and died four days later. Confirmed speakers are: Ia. Congressman Steve King; Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh; Ia. State Treasurer candidate and former Senate candidate Sam Clovis; Ia. candidate for Governor Dr. Leigh Hieb; Founder and Natl. Director for The Remembrance Project Maria Espinoza; KFAB Talk Show host Chris Baker; Host of the radio show The Ruthie Report and Pres. of Minnesotans Seeking Immigration Reform (MINNSIR) Ruthie Hendrycks.

We are not aware of any specifics about the availability of signs or banners from the organizers.  We suggest messages that are uniform and that keep to the appropriate themes promoted by the responsible organizations calling the protest.

Secure the Border!

Illegals unfair to legal immigrants

No Borders – No Sovereignty

No Open Borders

Stop the Border Rush

Enforce the Law!

My ancestors obeyed the law
