What has been blasted out to the American people by the liberal media, in full support of the Democratic Party for the past several days may be, in my view, the lowest, most contemptible , dirty political campaign tactic in modern American history. 

The Democrats had created ads using the lies in The Atlantic article maligning Trumps views of veterans prior to publication.  Why it was almost like it was planned or something.

Constructed by the biggest contributors to the Democratic Party, in support of some of its worst (in every way) candidates, and especially to the campaign of truly, the most pitiful, pathetic presidential candidate ever put forth by a major political party in our history, this latest slander is off the contemptibility scale.

Begin with the fact that the Atlantic Magazine is a failing enterprise that not even the rich elites, the only subscribers who claim to read it, can save it.

It’s a publication owned by the wealthy widow of Steve Jobs, Laurene Powell Jobs, who is described as a “billionaire philanthropist” and “mega donor” to the Biden campaign. To the Biden ‘philanthropic’ cause, “Widow Jobs” has donated over $1.2 million; She’s given ‘maxed out’ donations to countless other Dem politicians since the start of 2019. Sources say that her contributions to GOP candidates total zero!

Powell Jobs inherited a 70% stake in the Atlantic magazine in 2017. She maintains “frequent communications” with its current editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg.

In addition to dismissing the significance of the apparent partisan influence on the reporting, Ms. Bila also lauded Jennifer Griffin* for her work in “verifying a part of the story”. As pointed out by F&F’s co-anchor Pete Hegseth, Griffin amateurishly cited the comments of her ‘anonymous’ sources to back up the story of Atlantic’s “anonymous” sources.

“It looks as though this is just a way to milk more money out of the idiots who fell for the earlier scandals.”  Lynn Chu thinks the vets are not buying it:

“A lot of outraged military guys called in to radio shows today saying that the Obama administration treated the military with undisguised contempt and that the difference between those 8 years and these 4 is night and day. I think anyone sensible knows this is a cheesy lie. Like the Kavanagh lies.”

Let’s see:
1) the story that President Trump called our fallen military heroes “losers” and “suckers” was published by an incredibly partisan, shamelessly unprofessional magazine which is published by elites for elites, most of which are rich liberals.

2) It is based supposedly on the recollections, after 2 years, of some (4) “anonymous figures serving or having served in the Trump administration”.

3) the story is refuted by al least a dozen members or former members of the Trump administration, speaking ON THE RECORD!

4) Every action related to our military, taken by President Trump since he became president , has been to the benefit of the members or former members of the US military. Increased pay for military, major improvements in delivery of medical care by the VA for former military, major increases in the armed forces budget, major improvements in the readiness and training and weaponry of our military.

In every public appearance, no president has been more supportive of our military personnel than President Trump. Every action, every speech, every statement by Donald Trump has shown a deep affection for our armed forces personnel, those actively serving, its fallen heroes, and its veterans.

5) It is easy to contrast the very positive actions on behalf of our military and our service personnel by President Trump with those of his predecessor. Navy veterans and current active duty people can certainly attest to the damage the OBAMA-Biden administration did. Cuts in budget, the numerous collisions of our elite naval vessels, the diversion of scarce funds for climate change purposes (expensive ‘reusable’ fuel, at 10x the cost of conventional fuel), rewriting of regulations to accommodate social experimentation; the decrease in readiness of navy fighting vessels due to introduction of females in large numbers, reportedly followed  by numerous crew vacancies due to pregnancies;  elite combat units of the USMC seriously affected by changes resulting in introduction of transgender and female members, alleged to ‘improve’ unit ‘cohesiveness’. In our opinion, Obama-Biden showed its contempt for the military even in the silliest ways…rewriting at significant expense military manuals and service literature for reasons of ‘proper gender’ designation (ie. “Marine “rifle person” instead of “rifleman”, “infantry persons”, etc).

It should still rankle all serving, retired, and veteran military people that the US Marines had to surrender their weapons before being “allowed” to leave the ‘closed’ US Embassy in Yemen      dlh

MARINES SURRENDER WEAPONS BEFORE YEMEN  EVACUATION

U.S. Embassy Marines in Yemen handed over their M-9 pistols and M-4 carbines before evacuating the chaotic country with diplomatic personnel, the Pentagon said Wednesday.

The Marines also left behind several vehicles at the airport in the capital city of Sanaa before departing on a civilian flight, said Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman.

Warren said the Marines destroyed their machine guns and other crew-served weapons before leaving the Embassy for the airport. He also said that it was unclear who now had custody of the weapons and vehicles that were surrendered.
A Marine spokesman could not immediately say whether the surrender of weapons by Embassy Marines in an evacuation was unprecedented.

The Marines “destroyed their crew served weapons. They left their personal weapons behind,” Warren said, but he could not say whether the Houthi rebels who have taken over much of the country now had the weapons and vehicles left by the Marines.

‘Beyond Shameful’: Emotional Salon Owner Rips Into Pelosi For Claiming She Was Set Up

San Francisco salon owner Erica Kious said Thursday that it is “beyond shameful” for Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to accuse Kious of setting her up.

“For the speaker of the House of the United States to go on TV and falsely claim she was set up and publicly defame me and send out PR firms to spin more lies about Jonathan in support of the speaker’s own lies is bad enough,” Kious said on a Thursday evening press call to reporters.

“But for Speaker Pelosi to frame herself as a victim,” she continued, “under a total false narrative, while small businesses and workers all over California, the state, she represents in Congress, suffer and struggle just to survive, is beyond shameful.” (RELATED: San Francisco Mayor Says It Is ‘Unfortunate’ Pelosi Salon Incident Has ‘Blown Up,’ Blames Trump)

Kious provided Fox News with security footage showing a wet-haired Pelosi walking through eSalon in San Francisco on Monday at 3:08 p.m. as she attended her appointment for a wash and blow-out. San Francisco hair salons have been closed since March and were permitted to open Sept. 1 for outdoor hair appointments only.

Pelosi responded to backlash over the footage by saying she was a victim of a set up.

The salon owner said that Pelosi contacted Jonathan DeNardo, an independent contractor who rents a chair in eSalon, and asked if he could provide a hair service at her private residence. DeNardo informed Pelosi that this was not possible, according to Kious, and instead offered to perform the service at the salon.

“I have nothing to do with this and have never approved or rejected any particular client or service at the salon,” she said, adding that Jonathan “did not call me to seek authorization to do Mrs. Pelosi’s care. The appointment has already been made by him.”

She said that DeNardo did call her to express his excitement about cutting Pelosi’s hair, during which call she told him that if Pelosi “came to the salon and felt safe doing so, he should speak to her about trying to get other salons to open everywhere.”

This suggestion upset DeNardo, she said, who told her that Pelosi had bigger things to worry about. DeNardo later apologized to her, she added.

“Jonathan actually texted me and conveyed that he did have a discussion with her about not only not being allowed to open to do hair inside the salon,” Kious said. “Not only was the speaker fully aware that salons were closed for such services, but she and Jonathan actually discussed that fact during her appointment. The speaker’s excuse that she was set up is false.”

Kious repeatedly emphasized that if anyone set up Pelosi, it could only have been DeNardo, but also emphasized that she does not believe DeNardo set up the speaker of the house and that Pelosi has made him the scapegoat of the situation.

“I don’t owe anyone an apology,” Kious said with emotion. “Mrs. Pelosi owes the entire country an apology.”

Pelosi did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

He suggested that, as an entertainer, she may not be the most wholesome personality out there.

I recalled when the Obamas were into Rap stars and their “music”: and the performers they invited to the White House, seemed not to be too terribly “wholesome”. In fact the lyrics in many of their biggest ‘hits’ were not merely ‘suggestive’, but downright pornographic in some instances, and, the individuals were not the kind of people a sensible parent would encourage their teen and pre-teen daughters or sons to admire and emulate. “Biden … told Cardi B one of the things he most admires about her “is that you keep talking about what I call equity—decency, fairness, and treating people with respect.”

Cardi B has talked with presidential candidates in the past and she recently flexed her political muscles again when she joined Joe Biden for an ELLE Magazine interview. The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate engaged in a wide-ranging conversation with the music star and activist about the issues that matter most to her.

To start off the Zoom interview, Biden told Cardi B that they may be related — his daughter used to call him “Joey B” growing up. After Cardi greeted Biden’s daughter, Ashley, the interview took a serious turn.

Biden asked Cardi B about the issues that interest her in this election, and her list was extensive. The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, said first she wants President Trump out, citing his handling of the coronavirus pandemic as one issue. (scroll down for more of the interview)

She said she wants “laws that are fair to Black citizens and that are fair for cops, too. If you kill somebody who doesn’t have a weapon on them, you go to jail. You know what? If I kill somebody, I’ve got to go to jail. You gotta go to jail, too. That’s what I want.”
Biden responded by saying, “There’s no reason why we can’t have all of that,” and he stressed the importance of presidents taking responsibility, leveling with the American people and telling the truth.

Biden urged young vote to turn out and vote, saying that if more 18- to 24-year-olds had voted in 2016, Hillary Clinton would have been president instead of Donald Trump.

She brought up her concern about the lack of after-school programs for kids, saying programs she grew up with are now disappearing from her neighborhood.
“I’m the guy that put in those after-school programs,” Biden said. “I was able to get $20 billion [for] more boys and girls clubs.” He blamed the loss of such programs on people not wanting to pay taxes to support them.

“John Lewis, one of the great civil rights leaders, used to say the vote is the most powerful nonviolent tool you have,” Biden said. He spoke of the civil rights movement, and how people are again demanding racial justice and change.

Cardi B said the demand for change is simple: “I feel like Black people, we’re not asking for sympathy, we’re not asking for charity—we are just asking for equality. We are asking for fairness, and we are asking for justice. That is all. I feel like everything people are asking for is getting interpreted in a very different way. No, it’s simple: We just want justice. We want to feel like America.”

Biden praised the younger generation, saying they are the “smartest, the best educated, the least prejudiced, and the most engaged generation in history.”

“Look what they’re seeing now with this president. He’s promoting hatred, prejudice, racism. Talking about protecting the Confederate flag when Mississippi takes it off their flag,” Biden said. “This is all about the game of making people hate each other. Because that’s how he wins, by dividing us. Your generation is changing it.”

Cardi B said prejudice is dangerous and “could be the start of a civil war.”

“Everybody just wants the best for themselves, their future, their kids’ future. I don’t want to [have] to tell my kid, ‘You have to be careful going to the store. Don’t wear a hoodie. Please don’t get stopped.’ We don’t want that,” she said.

Earlier in the primary season, Cardi B was a prominent supporter of Bernie Sanders, but once Biden ascended to the top of the Democratic field she came out and endorsed him.
Celebrities who support Joe Biden for president one of the issues she focuses on most — and one her fans are concerned with — is the need for free college. The rapper opened up about her own education and the struggle to transition from high school to college.

“I’m from New York, and when you’re in high school or middle school, they give you a free MetroCard for you to be able to get to your school, and they gave me free lunch,” she said. “When I was in college, I didn’t get any more [free] transportation. So I had to get a job, because I needed $5 every single day to be able to go from Washington Heights to Chambers Street. And I had to feed myself.”

The rapper said some days she had to wait until she got home to eat, because she was able to afford lunch. “I was starving, and I felt so discouraged,” she said. “So I just feel like that is so important, to finance students while they’re in college.”

Biden told Cardi B that if he is elected president, he’ll push for families that make less than $125,000 to get free education. When the rapper asked if that would actually happen, the candidate said, “Absolutely, positively.”

The Cardi B interview is also significant because it wasn’t really an ‘interview’ in the normal sense. It was…vacuous. It was devoid of substance. It reminded me of a teenager talking to her grandfather about her life’s ambitions. And frankly, Biden looked like he was…somewhere else.

If you live in a small or medium size mid-western city (maybe you know of one), it’s likely you’ve not yet experienced what some have, as described above.

So, you may feel free to wonder, and criticize, how recent events in Kenosha, WI, could have descended into “vigilanteism” in which two fellow Americans were “gunned down” because they were exercising their Constitutional rights and protesting “rampant systemic racism” in our country.

You may even feel, in your heart, very virtuous…you’re not racist! You believe that, in America, people have a right to protest when they see injustice. You believe that ‘that 17 year old self-righteous kid who brought a gun to a ‘generally peaceful protest’ and, in his racist fury shot and killed two people and grievously wounded another’ should be punished ‘to the fullest extent of the law’.

You are free to hold that view…and it is probably based upon what you have read in your local newspaper or seen on your favorite TV news channel. We don’t feel, yet, that the full story is known or has been told. Until it is, we’re not going to vigorously promote either view.

But, should you happen to venture out some nice evening for a quiet dinner at your favorite restaurant to find that you are accosted at your table by a crowd of angry individuals who demand that you show your full support for their ’cause’.

And you learn that their ’cause’ aligns with your own thoughts, supposedly. Everything you heard on television or read in a newspaper, like the QC Times, is that many, or most, cops are racist, Black people are constantly harassed by law enforcement, most ‘white people’ ignore their plight, and blindly enjoy their own ‘privilege’.

Certainly, you are in favor of “social justice” and “peaceful protest”. And…you’d like to get back to your meal; so, if by ‘raising a fist’ to signal your support of the aims of Antifa and the “Black Lives Matter” movement, as these obviously angry people demand, you’re OK with that!

But wait! The couple at the next table apparently don’t agree with the aims of these people…and they refuse to ‘raise their fists’ in support.

Just maybe what happens next to those people would not seem to be all that compatible with the professed desire of the crowd who just called for ‘justice’ and ‘fairness’ and adherence to the ‘rights of others’.

But, you decide not to stay for there are other things you wish to attend to.

But as you step outside you see the hair salon across the street on fire and more angry people with signs and clothing that proclaim their defense of the same thing as the crowd in the restaurant who demanded your support for lofty ideals. They’re happily cheering and chanting slogans as the fire envelops the salon. Only a few yards away, another building, housing several businesses is ablaze, also cheered on by the ‘socially conscious’ folks you met only minutes ago in the restaurant.

Approaching the mayhem is an older gentleman wearing a red hat that apparently bears a slogan with which the crowd doesn’t seem to approve of. What happened to that soul needs not to be described here; it’s not something that happens in civilized societies.

It occurs to you that only minutes ago, you were all on the same side. These are the people who share your high ideals??…but, now you hear them chanting, between vulgar epithets, calling for the destruction of the property and lives of any who do not share “yours” and their “ideals”…you know, “freedom of expression”, “right to own private property”, that sort of thing. You also wonder, ‘where are the police’?

The tyranny of the mob has become a daily occurrence in our cities, towns, and even places of worship. This week in Philadelphia, a woman punched one of the lectors at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The Roman Catholic ecclesiastical authority urged churchgoers to respect their “fellow brothers and sisters,” as Archbishop Nelson Perez described the incident as “a senseless act of aggression.”

An elderly man walking down the street in Washington, D.C. drew the ire of la mafia and was knocked to the ground because he “appeared” to be wearing pro-Trump flair. A man (now famously) driving a truck in Portland, Oregon, was yanked from his vehicle and viciously beaten unconscious. Then the mob turned on his female companion.

Increasingly, average citizens dining out are bullied and browbeaten unless they cower to the demands of the Marxists. The Daily Mail reported an “Aggressive mob of white BLM protesters threaten and filmed white diners at D.C. restaurants and DEMAND they raise their fist and show solidarity with them…. or else,” since “white silence is violence.”

This seething throng is no respecter of persons. One’s station or race is of no consequence to its demand for total control. Civil rights activist Vernon Jones was accosted in the nation’s capital by Black Lives Matter activists screaming: “You’re an ‘F-ing’ disgrace.” Senator Rand Paul was jostled and terrorized after leaving the White House this week. Only a heavy police presence, said the shaken senator, was able to keep him and his wife from harm: “I truly believe this with every fiber of my being, had they gotten at us – they would have gotten us to the ground, we might not have been killed, might just have been injured by being kicked in the head, or kicked in the stomach until we were senseless,” Paul told Fox News.

All this and much, much more as mobs of mostly white BLM Marxists freely roam the streets of American cities, intimidating, threatening, and violating those who they “think” do not share their views. What we are witnessing in America today is not a movement; it is a crusade.
Have we come to the point where BLM bullies are so widespread and left unfettered by local authorities that they represent a “standing army,” as Madison wrote? Has the Fourth Estate become a slave to these BLM crusaders by omitting the rampant chaos and violence from its front pages and daily broadcasts? Further, has the leftist media endorsement of Black Lives Matter confined them to a kingdom of Marxist philosophy to which they must now pay homage?

Only one element of Madison’s astute prognostication remains – the Second Amendment. However, this constitutionally guaranteed right is under perpetual attack and threatened by high ranking Democrats who stand at the ready to remove it, posthaste.

How wretched is it that we must look to the right to bear arms as the only firewall remaining as Marxist crusaders carry out their imperious mission of forced obeisance upon our citizenry? Thus, should we be surprised that first-time buyers pack gun shops? Is it any wonder that armed vigilantes in Kenosha, WI, are hitting the streets ready to mow down the mob? These questions are not meant as threats; they merely represent the outcome of a cause and effect reality, which we are now witnessing. Americans are increasingly being boxed into a corner where no one wants to go because they refuse to pay adulation to the totalitarian tyranny of the mob.

The advent of COVID-19 forced Americans to shutter themselves in their homes in this bizarre and tragic year. Once the threat of this deadly virus disappears, would it not be woeful if the American populace were forced to stay locked inside because of this menacing Marxist philosophy that brooks no disagreement, no freedom, no liberty? In such a case, the mob rule thrust upon Americans will prove itself more oppressive than a virus from China. But Americans are a fiercely independent lot, and unless and until we have leaders brave enough to end this insidious and violent tyranny, many of them will be compelled to fend for themselves.

This Democrat is vying to land Florida’s congressional seat for the 18th district, but a Twitter post dating back to June 10th  of this year puts her disturbing mindset on full display:

The Democratic challenger to Representative Brian Mast (R., Fla.) wondered if it was “open season” on Trump administration officials in a June social media post.
The race between Mast and Pam Keith for Florida’s 18th district is now considered a toss up by the Niskanen Center. The district has swung Republican since 2016, however Keith represents a first major challenge to Mast’s tenure.

Mast is a veteran of the Afghanistan War, where he lost both legs after a bomb exploded under him. Keith is herself a former judge in the Navy, and is an African American who has voiced support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairwoman Cheri Bustos has said of Keith, “Pam has never backed down from fighting for what’s right. She’s running for Congress to put an end to the petty partisanship that gets in the way of delivering results for Floridians.” However, Keith is not one of the candidates listed as part of the organization’s “Red to Blue” campaign to flip Republican-held districts.

With a competitive election on the horizon, focus has shifted to both candidates’ social media history. Keith was the subject of a profile in the Washington Post on Friday which did not mention her more controversial posts.   . . .

This group of articles in combination with their collection of documentary links effectively refute the case for universal and mandatory masking including any “recommendation”‘ to mask issued by politicians Republican and Democrat to the general public (are you reading this Governor Reynolds).

When it comes to the “facts” you receive about coronavirus from the left and the mainstream media, the only thing that’s certain is the fact that we’re all being gaslit. With the current casedemic continuing at an unabated, albeit slightly decreased pace, the LARPing media, in a desperate attempt to keep life as abnormal as possible until the election, continues to pretend like it’s still April and all of America is New York City. We’re told 1,000+ a day are dying, but we have no idea if it’s coronavirus that’s actually killing them or they’re just dying WITH coronavirus in their system of old-age or whatever comorbidity they had. Meanwhile, America masks-up like it’s 1918, pretending ill-fitting, moist, bacteria and virus-laden cloth muzzles are somehow going to abate the spread of a virus that’s harmless or super-mild to the vast majority of those who contract it.

The masks, of course, continue to be a source of heated debate. Granted, I’ve been focusing on them a lot in my latest columns and social media posts. People sometimes ask me why. Sure, I hate wearing the damned things. I would imagine most people do, except probably leftists who get some sick pleasure out forcing their will on everyone else. They’re hot, constricting, and sap the fun and the life out of most anything done while they’re on, but since when have leftists ever enjoyed life?

Therefore, since they’re basically useless, potentially harmful, and presumably “guard” against something that isn’t worth stopping anyway even if they worked, I avoid them wherever possible. But even more importantly, I hate the deception they represent and the tyranny they foreshadow. The deception, because this pandemic really ended in May, yet society is continuing like nothing ever changed, and the tyranny because mask mandates represent the camel’s hump in the proverbial tent. If they can force us to do something this stupid, useless, and constricting (remember, some states require masks OUTSIDE in any public area and punish those who disobey with fines) in the name of “public health,” what CAN’T they make us do? What happens if Democrats win and decide to declare “climate change” a “public health emergency”?

And of course, they do all of it with precious little evidence that could even pass to any vague degree as “scientific,” all the while ignoring the long-standing evidence and common sense against masking the general public, evidence that our medical masters actually cited at the beginning of this pandemic as reasons for the public to NOT use masks. Sure, they pretend now that they were lying to us the whole time so front-line workers could get first dibs, or something, but that’s complete nonsense. What, did the nation have a shortage of bandanas and T-shirt material? Any old cloth will do, right? (Well, except for neck gaiters now, apparently. Yet, the fact that they’ll still get you into most any store is just another way to highlight the peak absurdity of it all).

Consider: The below notes about mask-wearing are from the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and were published in late-May. Yeah, I know the “science” is supposed to have undergone a seismic shift of astronomical proportions from April to July, but I’d love to hear the mask cultists explain how anything about “muh droplets” changes any aspect of the concerns listed below?

The BMJ highlighted “two side effects of wearing face masks in public.” These include the following:

One: “Wearing a mask may give a false sense of security and make people adopt a reduction in compliance with other important infection control measures.”

So, I guess human nature has magically changed in the intervening months since when COVID was a real pandemic and now, right? Compare your experience in a grocery store in April to now. Then, everyone was super-careful to keep a fair amount of distance. Now, with the masks providing the “magic” barrier, it seems like people don’t pay nearly as much attention to spacing. It stands to reason. Since most people think masks work, why would they?

Two: “People must avoid touching their masks and adopt other management measures, otherwise masks are counterproductive.”

Everyone, and I do mean everyone, touches their mask many times throughout the day. Does everyone wash their hands every time they touch their mask? Do they avoid touching other things after they touch their mask, such as doorknobs or even their own eyes? Do they change them out every few hours? Are surfaces that the filthy masks touch decontaminated? Are masks treated as the biohazards they are? The answer to all of those questions is a terse, “Of course not!”

The BMJ lists another “potential side effect” as: “The quality and volume of speech between people wearing masks is considerably compromised and they may unconsciously come closer.”

Is this observation suddenly rendered false by the ongoing masking cult? Did the COVID-gods somehow decide to gift the general public with superhero hearing for the duration of this insanity?

Other BMJ observations that are apparently supposed to be now untrue in the light of accepted COVID dogma include making breathing more difficult, exhaled air going into the eyes and causing “an impulse” to touch them and infect yourself, and this gem:

“Moreover, a fraction of carbon dioxide previously exhaled is inhaled at each respiratory cycle. Those phenomena increase breathing frequency and deepness, and they may worsen the burden of covid-19 if infected people wearing masks spread more contaminated air. This may also worsen the clinical condition of infected people if the enhanced breathing pushes the viral load down into their lungs.”

Given all the above and more, it’s no wonder that mask requirements seem to have very little to do with whether the virus continues to spread unabated. As we’ve seen time after time, the virus is going to virus until it’s finished virusing. Thankfully, this seems to be reached at around 15 to 25 percent seroprevalence, at which point T cells and B cells combine to offer a degree of herd immunity that limits spread. This has been and will continue to be played out in area after area. The longer our masters continue to ignore this basic science and common sense, the longer we will be plagued by the ridiculous corona fascism we’re currently living under. It’s well past time to end the insanity and get back to normal. Not a new normal. Not an adjusted normal. NORMAL!

Regarding Miss Peggy . . . I could only get so far

The insufferable ‘Miss Peggy’  Noonan… as she grows more irrelevant each day, she gets more strident and incoherent.

This is one ‘has been’ who is actually a “never was”. The elder President Bush didn’t realize that Ms. Noonan was over her head as a presidential speechwriter; unless you were as smart and good-humored as President Reagan (he could overshadow her deficiencies); GHW failed to recognize Noonan  as one with some writing talent but completely devoid of wisdom and insight.

G W Bush, however, recognized Peggy’s severe shortcomings and the great extent to which she contributed to his Dad’s reelection loss with her “Read my Lips” “cleverness”. He didn’t let Peggy anywhere near his administration. 

And she’s never gotten over it…she doen’t like the Bushes, or any GOP president and she is becoming more and more obvious about it…perhaps revealing her bitterness more than she wants. 

Too bad the Wall Street Journal does not have GW’s similar good instincts.

Her latest is another “Why bother ?” column. If she saw the GOP convention first hand, it’s not apparent from her “analysis” of it.           dlh

“It was a real insane-a-thon. It was genuinely moving. It didn’t avoid big issues. It led with a lie. It was a success in that it will have pleased the base and done some degree of outreach to others. 

“The parts of the Republican National Convention that were crazy included but were not limited to:

“Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization,” said Charlie Kirk. “The frontier, the horizon, even the stars belong to us,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz. I’m still recovering from Kimberly Guilfoyle’s screaming. It was like seeing Eva Peron in an extended manic episode running from balcony to balcony warning the descamisados to stay armed, the oligarchs are coming. This was unfortunate because it was the first night and if Ms. Guilfoyle seemed insane, Republicans seemed insane.”

Like Miss Peggy, another one-time alleged conservative columnist, Mona Charen, (or is that Mona Karen as she scolds issue voting, fundamental issue at that), twists logic into a pretzel to justify voting for Biden/Harris while continuing her claim to be pro-life.  Her criteria are not merely flawed they are nuts.

Regardless of the issue of the right to life  (the original and proper denominator of the movement) no one who claims to be a conservative can prefer a Biden/Harris to Trump/Pence. The culture and the Republic as we know them are at stake because Biden/Harris are committed to fundamental change in leaps and bounds on so many fronts. There is no case to be made by a genuine or consistent conservative of any stripe for voting for Biden/Harris — the most pro-abortion and radical candidates ever.
