Dispatches # 3

From our Great Plains Drifter, DLH:

Anyone in the QCA interested in knowing what the QC Times editorial board thinks of recent IRS revelations (or any of the other scandals surrounding the most transparent administration ever)  Need we recall their righteous exertions on behalf of justice when it was the Bush administration which did such awful illegal things as “out” that brave non-covert CIA agent, Valerie whatsername. Oops! It was eventually determined (after the negative coverage campaign attacking Bush was exhausted) that no such crime was committed. Oh well, it’s time to move on…Obama has carbon emissions he must save us from.

Reuters reports :  IRS official refuses to testify before Congress  At a U.S. House of Representatives Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, Gregory Roseman, an IRS official involved in awarding IRS contracts, repeated four times that he would not answer questions. He was then excused from the hearing.

“I respectfully decline to answer any questions and invoke my Fifth Amendment privilege to remain silent,” Roseman said, referring the Constitution’s protection against self-incrimination.

Another lesson from Democrats on how to conduct the democratic process. If you can’t win by civilized means, adopt third world measures. If you don’t have the votes in the legislative process, flee the state and hide out, as democrats did in Wisconsin and Texas. Now we see another “strategy”: make the process impossible to work by mob action. What’s next? Thugs from the S.E.I.U. physically attacking political opponents? Oh wait, we’ve already seen that!

AP story:     Texas Abortion Bill Fails After Crowd of Abortion Enthusiasts Disrupts Legislative Process

. . . and as Gary Bauer asks today :

Just imagine how different the coverage would be if a conservative legislator were filibustering a bill to legalize same-sex “marriage” in a liberal state and a crowd of evangelicals, Catholics and Orthodox Jews turned out to support him. There would be no tolerance, much less praise, from CBS or the New York Times. They would be denounced as bigots and fascists attempting to thwart the will of the people.    . . .

As Veritas readers know –  the White House got in on the act with tweets from Barack Obama and Jill Biden cheer leading the mob action.  Imagine the press treatment of something like that if Bush or any prominent Republican had sent encouraging messages to people to disrupt liberal legislation.

Will Karl Rove and Reince Priebus  now attempt to recruit GOP candidates who have shown willingness to expose themselves on Facebook? Remember, we’ve got to get better “quality” candidates like those Democrats do. No more of those Tea Party turkeys.

NY Post:
In a stunning turn of events, the disgraced former congressman has suddenly become the frontrunner in the multi-candidate Democratic field, grabbing 25 percent of the vote and vaulting ahead of City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who dropped to 20 percent in the WNBC-TV/Wall Street Journal survey.

One Response to Dispatches # 3

  1. Roy Munson says:

Looks like they have another special session starting in Texas to get the bill into law this week because of Wendy and her pink shoes. And the Democrats cry about Republican filibusters……

Caught Wendy on Meet The Press for a minute today and was surpised at the tough questions David Gregory asked. He basically cited a poll to her showing even woman (who hate Republicans) don’t even support abortion after 20 weeks. Also it doesn’t look like Rick Perry is gonna let the Wisconsin bozo brigade take over and “occupy” the capital building.
