QC Times – Can’t Find Support In QC For Zimmerman Jury Verdict

QC Times strains to find any support for Zimmerman jury verdict

The QC Times is on the case. Reporting on the George Zimmerman verdict with their typical hard-hitting local angle coverage, ace reporter, Linda Cook went out to get local reaction to the Zimmerman trial verdict. At the direction of her editors, or not, Ms. Cook was able to secure wide ranging comment from QC area leaders which covered the full spectrum of sentiment from A to B.

Seems the Times’ intrepid reporter was able to get reaction to the verdict only from “community leaders who are disappointed with the George Zimmerman trial verdict”. Apparently “community leaders” who are not disappointed with the verdict were either unavailable, very elusive, extremely rare birds or their reaction just wasn’t of interest to Ms. Cook and the QC Times.
The article did note that “The White House doesn’t usually respond formally to trials unless they involve the president or federal government, but it issued a rare statement Sunday. President Barack Obama called Martin’s death a tragedy: “Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America.” He asked that people respect the call for calm reflection. He called the U.S. “a nation of laws” and said “a jury has spoken.”

A “rare statement” indeed! Except that this is the second time, our president has commented directly on this case. Trayvon would look just like his son if he had one, Obama noted in the immediate aftermath of the tragic event. This, too, is “rare” for “the White House”… to describe “murder” victims in such personal terms.

Apparently none of the 108 young black homicide victims killed in Chicago in 2012, the same year of the Trayvon Martin death, looked like a hypothetical Obama offspring or if so, did not merit one of those “rare” white House statements.

The reader was also intrigued by Ms. Cook’s diligence in reporting on how Mr. Zimmerman “identifies himself” ( apparently whether or not anyone else so identifies him). Ms. Cook, in her 22 paragraph story discloses in paragraph 6 that “Zimmerman, who identifies himself as Hispanic (much as President Obama “identifies” himself as Black) was found not guilty of second degree murder.

But, just to be sure that we got that, Ms. Cook helpfully repeats the same sentence in paragraph 14. That Zimmerman! Why does he go around insisting on “identifying” himself as Hispanic when Trayvon identified him as “creepy-ass cracker”? Which is he, Ms. Cook?     DLH

One Response to QC Times – Can’t Find Support In QC For Zimmerman Jury Verdict

  1. Roy Munson says:

Typical losers at the QC Slimes. Almost every poll or reasonable talking head has came back and said that there was absolutely no evidence in the charges brought against Zimmerman and agree with the decision.

There is a whole underworld of ignorant uneducated sloths and left-wing celebs on twitter and on MSNBC who think otherwise. Just go to Michele Malkin’s “Twichy.com” to see for yourself. These people still think Zimmerman is white (he is clearly Hispanic), think he made the racial slur “fucking coons” on the 911 tape last year when NBC was caught red handed editing the tape and people were fired (just read Zimmerman has a lawsuit going against NBC), and think he just went up and shot Trayvon in cold blood. Who calls 911 before they shoot somebody like Zimmerman did?!

The new conspiracy tonight is that one of the jurors who was on CNN Cooper tonight and announced she was writing a book has suddenly announced she isn’t after the interview. Rumor is that her hubby is an attorney and apparently is friends with Zimmermans lawyer O’Meara. Really hope this isn’t true.
