What did you expect, “Joey”?

  • OOHHH! “Insurrection” says Joe Biden.
  • Good citizens at wits end
  • Well, What Did You Expect, America?

For months the Left, has had free rein throughout this nation, with the approval of the media, the silence of top officials of the Democratic Party, and of that party’s presidential nominee. While arson and looting and attacks on women and men, members of Congress was happening in Seattle, Portland, Kenosha, Minneapolis, Washington DC, the Democrats had nothing to say, no condemnation.

Then, America watched the clear theft of an election and courts did nothing, the media apparently thought it was great news.

Pleas to at least investigate widespread, strong, credible allegations of major fraud and wrongdoing in the election process went unheeded.

Always the media prefaced any story about the election that may have alluded to some irregularities with, “Trump charges, WITHOUT EVIDENCE, BASELESS ALLEGATIONS blah, blah…”

Hundreds of sworn affidavits attesting firsthand observation of illegal, fraudulent activity related to the election were disregarded; Photographic evidence supporting those allegations was ignored…all were dismissed as “baseless’, as “no evidence”; statistical and forensic analyses were disregarded as well.

So. Is America Surprised that, finally after months of leftist violence, illegality, and dangerous behavior, Democratic Party and media sponsored, encouraged, and supported, that the good people of this country have had enough!??

Yes. This is a terrible point we have come to. But don’t lay the blame on those America-loving, courageous, hardworking people demonstrating at the US Capitol in Washington today! Some among them may have gone too far but frustration, even rage, is an inevitable product when legitimate pleas for justice go unheeded, even ridiculed, by the most respected authorities of the land, as they fail to carry out their own duties.

Lay it at the feet of those who have brought it about.

Gutless politicians on both sides of the aisle. uninformed, poorly educated, easily manipulated America-hating millennials, ‘elitists’, Democrat Party leaders, and wildly rich “progressives”…the American Left.       dlh

Poor Pierre Delecto… The Demo Sweep in GA. Erases His ‘Bargaining Chip’

With both Warnock and Ossuff apparently winning the Georgia senate seats special election, the U S Senate is now firmly in Democrat hands.

Poor “Mittens” Romney can no longer bargain with Chuck Schumer for a cushy committee chairmanship, or some other ‘reward’, in return for his “Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords-style” ‘switch’ from Republican to Democrat.

Had the senate election in Georgia split with one Republican winning and one Democrat, it would have left Mitch McConnell in charge as Majority Leader, 51-49 GOP.

Instead, the unseating of both Republican senators, Perdue and Loeffler, the senate now is 50-50 with Vice President -elect Kamala Harris to cast the vote breaking the deadlock and making Schumer the Majority Leader.

Thus “Mittens” Romney (aka Pierre Delecto) no longer holds a top hand. Because the Democrat majority is effectivley established without him. Mr. Delicto can’t bargain with Schumer for something in return for his de facto disloyalty to the party that supported his election. We firmly believe this is what Romney would have done. He has, we suggest, worn his disloyalty to the Republican president and his party as a badge of honor since coming to the Senate.

So…it appears that a bitter, dishonest “Mittens” didn’t have to so publicly ‘tip his treacherous hand’,and, will remain in the Senate with the GOP caucus, voting with the Democrats when and as needed.

As a now ‘famous’ person says: “LET ‘FWEEDOM’ RING”!       dlh

Senator Ernst responds – not going to support any effort to stop the steal

  • Apparently thinks Biden Harris won legitimately and will vote to affirm their election
  • Abandons “those who brung her”
  • Substantial indications of fraud need not actually be heard prior to affirming an election
  • Embarrasses herself in referencing the Constitution
  • Implies she knows more about the Constitution than Senators such as Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley graduates of prestigious law schools
  • Establishes herself as a candidate for the John Kerry award for trying to shield herself from criticism by referencing military service with regard to a wholly unrelated matter

If you think we have extrapolated too much from the response by Senator Ernst to a constituent who begged her to support efforts such as Senator Cruz’s to audit the presidential vote in states under scrutiny for extensive election fraud and other illegal acts depriving Iowans of the efficacy of their vote under our presidential election process . . . well read for  yourself and decide. Our comments follow.

Dear Ms. Kelly,

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about your perspective on the formal transition to the Biden Administration. It is important for me to hear from folks in Iowa on issues such as this.

On December 14, 2020, the Electoral College voted to officially confirm Joe Biden to be the 46th President of the United States. Under Article II, Section 1, these results are set to be certified by a joint session of Congress in January 2021. President-elect Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2021.

I recognize that for many Iowans, the results of the November 3, 2020 election were disappointing, while for others the results may have been welcome. The beauty of America is that we have the freedoms and rights to express ourselves at the ballot box and within our communities. We can disagree and agree openly with our friends and neighbors and can use our voice to influence what happens in Washington. No matter who sits in the White House, I will continue, as I always have, to work in the Senate for the issues most important to Iowans.

I also recognize that there is an ongoing conversation about transparency, fairness and security within our election system – issues I take very seriously as someone who proudly wore our nation’s uniform in the Iowa Army National Guard and the Army Reserves. I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I will keep fighting to defend the Constitution.

I am committed to making Washington work for you and please know that I will continue to keep your views in mind going forward. Please feel free to contact my office in the future with any further information, as I always enjoy hearing from Iowans.

Sincerely,

Joni K. Ernst

Senator I am appalled at your response. You have diminished the vote of the great majority of Iowans in the 2020 presidential election by essentially indicating attempts to defraud that vote centered in other states, violating 14th Amendment principles regarding state action and voting rights do not matter.   Your reference to the Constitution “Article II section 1” without mentioning the Twelfth Amendment which largely supplants it (and your obliviousness to what precipitated that Amendment) which provides (arguably) that fraudulent elector counts need not be recognized is a dismissal of most of those who voted for you.  You owe them and the Constitution more than that.

The court’s response has been preposterous “no standing”. More on that in another letter, but for now OK. So the ONLY and last defense is the Congress’s coequal ability to interpret the Constitution and act accordingly as regards the veracity of what has been presented them.  So do your job, hear the evidence. The benefit of any doubt ought to go at least to new elections in contested districts.  Precedent exists, but even if it did not it is entirely plausible as a peaceful solution.

Your reference to Iowans who are pleased with what you refer to as Biden’s election implying ~~  gee wiz I am damned if I do damned if I don’t ~~  is quite pathetic.  Your wrapping yourself in the Iowa flag is actually something more than a little thread bare. How do you serve Iowa’s best interests letting Democrats cheat to win the presidency?  The majority of Iowans voted for Trump and may have had their vote abrogated under our system of presidential elections. How does your position assuredly serve them?

By the way, how do you get legislation signed into law to benefit all Iowans in matters you say are important for all Iowans, with a Democrat executive? How do you even protect your funders interests?  Oh I know, you tell them but for you things would be much worse.

One would think the last full measure, the holding of the line, a commitment to the constitution against, as night follows day, Democrat assaults would at least mean that the  presidential vote ought to be seriously verified prior to turning the keys to so much over to them?

What are you and Democrats afraid of from an audit? Let me repeat, What are you and Democrats afraid of from an audit?

Politically I believe you may have sealed your retirement at the end of your newly elected term.  Certainly a primary challenge by a plausible conservative will receive a lot of support and a general election opponent would have to be egregious before many  Trump voters would cross the street to vote for you again. Democrats can assume you will be vulnerable.

We doubt there will be much enthusiasm for you at campaign events, town halls, or other appearances from rank and file Republicans as your abandonment of so many Iowa voters will likely be seen as betrayal not principle, especially given your dismissal of attempts at constitutional remedies. Or do you think Democrats will come out to show their support? Your next motorcycle entourage won’t stretch a city block unless your staff get some mopeds. Your demeanor in this matter is not a profile in courage -it is a pathetic profile in weakness as to what can be done.

We have not heard from Senator Grassley in response to our constituent letter on this matter and while he certainly has a reserve of bona fides you do not have,  we suspect he will join with you or we would have heard to the contrary.  What we said to him and all Iowa Republican officials in an open letter stands:

The situation is the stuff that can destroy party and national unity. Your patriotic and constitutional laurels are not at issue but be aware that they pale in the face of inaction in such historic moments as this.

There are unprecedented contemporaneous evidenced allegations of voter fraud and official disregard of state statutory and constitutional law in many states sufficient to call into question the parroted but as yet not finalized results.

Your choice to sit back and do nothing is not mitigated by your laurels in such an encompassing matter. It matters not that, we are told, the votes are not there, what matters is where is your vote.

Mittens Romney Actually Praying that Republicans get one of the Georgia seats

PONDER THIS:

If only one of the two Senate seats in Georgia are ‘flipped’ to Democrats on Tuesday, that body would then retain a Republican majority, 51-49.

One member of that majority and “World’s Greatest Deliberative Body” is a gentleman named “Mitt” Romney (aka Pierre Delicto).

To us, “Mitt” Romney is one of the most dishonorable, dishonest, self-indulgent people in Congress.

And, I suggest the situation described above is exactly the one “Mittens” has longed for since his election as senator from Utah. known by some as the “Jeffords Ploy”… named for “Jumpin Jim”Jeffords” . Jim Jeffords was an American politician who served as US Senator from Vermont (see below.)

How Jim Jeffords single-handedly bent the arc of politics

But not in a good way.   Other graphics from the Romney file:

Wealthy Patrick Mahomes — fanboy of communist dictator – no irony there

Whatever you do, don’t practice what your ‘idol’ (Dimitri) preaches

Unlike many Chiefs fans in the KC area, I was aware of Patrick Mahomes’ leftist leanings. After all, what young sports superstar can resist… toasted by Hollywood’s most outspoken ‘woke’ celebrities, fawned over by the media, ‘adored’ by the fans, regardless of his political naïveté.

Careful there, Patrick… what, or who, you wish for.. least of all someone you seem to admire enough to hang his picture in your luxurious master bathroom. (see earlier post)

As the Chief’s quarterback, Patrick, you should realize that, in Dimitri Lenin’s world, you are “bourgeoisie”*; your teammates, especially the offensive line, and to a great extent, also, your receivers and running backs are the “proletariat”*!

With your new contract, you are earning $50 million plus, per year…many would consider that “wealth”.

But, your offensive line, the people who protect you from 300 lb. ‘blitzing’ linebackers so that you can perform your passing (and running) “magic” make, on the average, ‘only’ about $1 million a year. That’s two percent of your salary, and they will take more of a beating.

By the standards of the folks who pay $35 to $60 for parking for a game at Arrowhead stadium and a minimum of $45 for a regular season ‘nosebleed’ seat to watch you and your teammates, that isn’t a bad paycheck either.

But, Center Dan Kilgore delivers maybe 50 to 100 well placed ‘snaps’ per game and then blocks the 350 lb, guard from ‘sacking’ you, he makes a paltry $750,000/year… less than one fifth of what you do…maybe you’d better hope that he doesn’t come to embrace the ideological stance that you and your ‘hero’, Dimitri Lenin do:

“The more powerful the work, the more powerless the worker.”

Furthermore, how would Comrade Lenin look upon your new home?:

“Money is … not only the object but also the fountainhead of greed.”

And, certainly hope that all those players on the Chiefs’ defense and offense don’t share the views of Comrades Lenin and Marx: “From each according to his (blocking and tackling ) ability, to each according to his needs ($2million homes?)”.

And, “Private property has made us so stupid and partial… “

(Or how about the ‘darling’ of that political party whose views you seem to share, Elizabeth “Pocohantas” Warren. Her sentiment for example, might sound like this in your world, Patrick:

“YOU didn’t build that stadium you play in…taxpayers did! They should get in games for free!”

And, “YOU didn’t stop that beefy ‘front four’ so that you could toss a touchdown pass without getting your jersey dirty!…your ‘underpaid’ offensive line did!”!      dlh

*In Marxism, the bourgeoisie and proletariat are the two major classes that participate in the class struggle. The bourgeoisie own and hoard wealth and resources, while the proletariat are the laborers that make this possible. Communism is a system in which the proletariat, instead, would have control of resources they work for.

GOP politicians and apparat everywhere ought to be clamoring in support of election audit

Get off your butts and say and do something in support of the Cruz efforts

For elected Republicans and party apparat not to go on record and support audit efforts, NOW prior to January 6th, is to invite primary challenges and or splintering of the party.

The first question we will ask a candidate at primary time at every level — local state federal — is where is the record of your support — evidenced in  timely social media, letters to constituents or other elected officials, vote record,  something public indicating support of efforts now in Congress to insure the integrity of the 2020 Presidential election.  More than gratuitous comments ought to be pursued and those that do will be considered champions.

Those efforts championed by Senator Cruz and Hawley at this writing are the critically important.  It is entirely relevant for local and state politicians in every state to speak out on this matter, not just members of Congress and the Senate, not just those in states under scrutiny for fraud.

This article at The Iowa Standard expresses some of our sentiment but does not go far enough as to current key players.  Also to its credit, the additional link exemplifying a minimum of what is called for is from the same publication.

Any GOP member of Congress who does not object to Electoral College results will not succeed in future presidential efforts

Miller-Meeks sworn in, maybe shouldn’t order new curtains just yet

Speaker Pelosi has deigned to “provisionally” seat Mariannette Miller-Meeks as Iowa’s 2nd District Congressman and MMM has been sworn in today. Congratulations.

In a post a week ago we offered that: We’re fine with Rita Hart taking her election case to the Democrat controlled House

We are sure it is not lost on most of our regular readers that our post linked above was intended as rhetorical — using Democrat claims and objections regarding Trump supporters and the pursuit of all legal avenues to insure only legal votes are counted (and only counted once). That would be whether that pursuit involves the courts OR the political process enshrined in the Constitution for resolving disputed elections (while protecting the integrity of the federal system and the nature of a republic).

We were employing their claims in support of Rita Hart (Miller-Meeks opponent) in essence against them to benefit the bigger picture — the case for Trump that the election involved fraud sufficient to mean Biden was not the victor. Losing one CD to the existing Democrat majority is survivable, losing the Presidency to comsymps may not be.

Trump’s and Hart’s are different cases and situations with different legal authorizations and tolerance, which we emphasized. Trump has important claims that must be heard in some venue where the power exists to judge properly and to do something about it. We were in pursuit of a rhetorical point that perhaps might register on superficial dominate media and their influence on low information citizenry.  It was a fools errand of course, the Dems were way ahead of us in chicanery. “Provisional” seating.

We presumed our readers would know the game and challenge the political environs accordingly although we did not have a lot of hope Democrats would have any discretion in seating Hart. We still do not given Pelosi’s weasel words of seating Miller-Meeks”provisionally.”

The Democrat powers that be saw the implications, “the optics,” of Hart’s pursuit vis a vis Trump, as did we, and made the same calculus. The Miller-Meeks/ Hart situation was  prominent and the Dems decided better to put Hart on hold until the presidential situation is resolved. Which is all they really did, thus the “provisional” seating.

It could be that Hart’s case is too sketchy and MMM will be merely allowed the seat while painting a cloud OR, we think more likely given who we are dealing with, once the presidential situation is resolved we suspect they will go ahead and remove MMM and seat Hart. If President Trump prevails (as we pray) they will unseat MMM in a heartbeat to add to what little cushion they have in the House. The same is likely true if Biden is inaugurated.

The big question is will Miller-Meeks pander in any away to keep the seat. We think if she supports Trump’s efforts in the time she is there and all MAGA efforts she will endear herself to her base and have a good chance of re-winning the seat no matter what Democrats do.

Iowa political leadership: Will you protect Iowa’s presidential vote and our Constitutional rights from denigration by others ?

  • We are calling on readers to contact Iowa’s Congressional delegation (sworn in on January 3rd) and demand that they join with the growing support in Congress for the efforts to insure that the integrity of the presidential vote is verified.

Open letter to Iowa’s political leadership

At this writing it is reported that about a dozen Senators and 140 House members have pledged to oppose or delay certification of presidential electors on January 6th, some contingent on an emergency audit by an electoral commission. The level of discontent with the validity of the November presidential election results such pledges reflect is extremely serious and compelling to resolve. Objective study supports that concern and compels this writer and hopefully you to take a stand in support of insuring the integrity of the vote.

Senators Grassley (R) & Ernst (R) Representative Miller-Meeks (R), Hinson (R), Feenstra (R) and Axne (D) will you protect Iowa’s presidential vote from being discounted by others through a civil solution to substantial charges of electoral corruption including official acts that impinge on the rights of all citizens as provided for in Section 1 of the 14th Amendment?

A fraudulent presidential election must not be allowed to result in an inauguration when substantial evidence exists of sufficient fraud and other illegalities that has not been adjudicated on the merits. Serious risk to political comity exists and it is in your power and hopefully your prescience to provide for meaningful fair-minded resolve as Senator Cruz and others have called for.

Iowa voted solidly for Donald Trump but if cheating targeting Trump in other states is allowed to prevail, then Iowa’s vote and voters on January 6th will be victimized, their choice unfairly and unlawfully discounted and cheating will have been confirmed and allowed to rule the day.

There should be no certification of the electors until the country can be reasonably assured that the results truly reflect legitimate voter activity and adherence to law by official actors and that requires a transparent and thorough examination of the evidence and charges.

Readers:

Our page bar at top — Legislator Links — can be used to find contact information for Iowa’s political leadership.  The Governor and state legislators should be included as they have a responsibility to stand up and protect Iowa’s presidential vote with official pronouncements, resolve and support that wide scale electoral cheating is incompatible with federal government, our republic, one person one vote principles and political comity. This rates an emergency special (or early) legislative session if need be.

Contested elections were anticipated by our founding documents and have  happened in  past. The articles appended below recount them and indeed that challenges have been initiated by Democrats! Please contact our political leadership to not shrink from their duty to insure our party, our state, our country that the integrity of the vote must be defended.

Fox News article:

GOP senators, led by Cruz, to object to Electoral College certification, demand emergency audit
The lawmakers call for an electoral commission to be established to audit result

A group of GOP senators led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, will object to the Jan. 6 certification of the presidential election results next week unless there is an emergency 10-day audit of the results by an electoral commission.

Cruz and the other senators claim the Nov. 3 election “featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and illegal conduct.”

Joining Cruz are Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis.; James Lankford, R-Okla.; Steve Daines, R-Mont.; John Kennedy, R-La.; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Mike Braun, R-Ind.; as well as Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo.; Roger Marshall, R-Kansas; Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., and Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala.

Their effort is separate from one announced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., who said this week that he will object to what he claims was the failure of some states — most notably Pennsylvania — to follow their own election laws.

“Voter fraud has posed a persistent challenge in our elections, although its breadth and scope are disputed,” the lawmakers said Saturday in a statement. “By any measure, the allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election exceed any in our lifetimes.”

While the Trump campaign has challenged the results in dozens of lawsuits, judges have dismissed them due to a lack of evidence. Attorney General William Barr said last month that “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.”

A source familiar with the effort by the GOP senators told Fox News that it was Cruz who orchestrated the push just days before the joint session of Congress on Wednesday to officially approve the Electoral College votes electing former Vice Presiden

The lawmakers say there is a precedent of Democrats objecting to election results in 1969, 2001, 2005 and 2019. “And, in both 1969 and 2005, a Democratic Senator joined with a Democratic House Member in forcing votes in both houses on whether to accept the presidential electors being challenged,” they said.

The senators and senators-elect are calling for Congress to appoint a commission to conduct a 10-day emergency audit of the election returns in states where the results are disputed. They cite as precedent the 1877 race between Samuel Tilden and Rutherford Hayes in which there were allegations of fraud in multiple states.

“In 1877, Congress did not ignore those allegations, nor did the media simply dismiss those raising them as radicals trying to undermine democracy,” the lawmakers said in the statement. “Instead, Congress appointed an Electoral Commission — consisting of five Senators, five House Members, and five Supreme Court Justices — to consider and resolve the disputed returns.”

“We should follow that precedent. To wit, Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states. Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.”

If that doesn’t happen, the senators intend to vote against certification.

“Accordingly, we intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given’ and ‘lawfully certified’ (the statutory requisite), unless and until that emergency 10-day audit is completed,” they said in the statement.

“American democracy relies on the consent of the governed,” Sen. Blackburn and Sen.-elect Hagerty said in a separate statement. “Allegations of voter fraud, irregularities and unconstitutional actions diminish public confidence in what should be a free, fair and transparent process. Protecting the integrity of the electoral process is paramount to preserving trust and legitimacy in the final outcome.”

It is unclear whether they will rally more Republicans to their cause, given Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s public acceptance of Biden’s victory. While the lawmakers note that most Democrats and some Republicans will vote to certify the results, they argue that an audit would increase the public’s faith in the process.

“These are matters worthy of the Congress, and entrusted to us to defend. We do not take this action lightly. We are acting not to thwart the democratic process, but rather to protect it,” they said. “And every one of us should act together to ensure that the election was lawfully conducted under the Constitution and to do everything we can to restore faith in our Democracy.”

The effort by the senators marks a major win for President Trump’s continuing efforts to challenge the results of the election. Trump has repeatedly claimed he beat Biden, who flipped a number of states, including Georgia and Arizona, to get over the 270 Electoral College votes needed to secure the White House.

Trump’s campaign has launched a number of legal challenges, while Trump himself has urged states with Republican governors and legislatures to overturn Biden’s victories.

Senate GOP leadership, however, is against efforts to challenge Biden’s win — with McConnell urging Republicans behind closed doors not to contest the election results.

But if the group of GOP senators object, along with a similar effort by House Republicans, the joint session of Congress would be dissolved, and the House and Senate would then meet separately to debate any contested state’s electoral votes.

Afterward, each body would vote whether to accept or reject any contested votes. Then the House and Senate would reconvene the joint session.

In the House, at least 13 incoming House GOP freshmen are expected to back a move by Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., to object to certification. Rep.-elect Kat Cammack, Fla., was the latest to announce Saturday in a statement that she was among them.

The last time this happened (and only the second time in U.S. history) was in January 2005, following President’ George W. Bush’s narrow re-election victory over Democratic challenger John Kerry of Massachusetts. One Senate Democrat – Barbara Boxer of California – and one House Democrat – Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio – objected. In 2017, a handful of House Democrats objected to Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton, but no Senate Democrats joined them.

A state’s slate of electoral votes would only be thrown out if both the House and Senate vote to do so — something that is unlikely given the Democratic majority in the House, and the push by GOP Senate leaders to certify.

Take a knee for the NFL

To me, this is a real disappointment. Patrick Mahomes, star of the Kansas City Chiefs,  has successfully come across to most Kansas Citians as just a “nice young man’…so modest and unassuming while becoming, possibly, one of the game’s greatest.

I can’t really mention my disgust with this guy with close neighbors or associates around here. Few, if any, knows the stuff about Mahomes herein. They don’t read the KC Star and local TV news says nothing about Mahomes’ affection for Colin Kaepernick , the BLM, or communism. Only his ‘niceness’ and football exploits are mentioned. Also, there’s never a reference in a televised game of any “anti-anthem/flag” antics on the sidelines by players.

But this bullshit poster does it for me.  (commentary continued below)

Above is a photo of one of the rooms in the new Mahomes home. It is from a typical puff piece in the Kansas City Star about the talented player. In what appears to be the master bathroom there is a prominent display of …of…”Is that VLADIMIR LENIN”!

“But, dlh how do you know it’s Lenin?    Well, it ain’t Abe Lincoln!

Maybe they were out of Che Guevara posters!

Why would Patrick Mahomes grace his new home with a Poster Photo of LENIN? (Why would any American, raised and ‘educated’ in this country, a multi-millionaire because of his talents and personal commitment, idolized by his fellow Americans, a beneficiary of all this nation offers in freedom, prosperity, and reward for hard work, pay tribute to a founder of the most oppressive, cruelest political and economic system in world history?

But everybody in Kansas City “loves” Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs outstanding quarterback who led his team to a Super Bowl championship in 2020 and continues in 2020 to rack up impressive performances for the team that has wrapped up its division championship with a 14-1 regular season record and appears on track to win its second consecutive Super Bowl!

In addition to being an outstanding athlete, Patrick Mahomes comes across as a personable, self effacing young man any parent would love to call a son, or son-in-law…a true, in every way, “All-American boy”!

Having just re-signed with the Chiefs this year the most lucrative player contract…a half-billion $… in NFL history, Mahomes has advertising arrangements with about every well-known business in the KC area.

The son of a rightly proud white mother and a black father, himself a former MLB pitcher, Patrick Mahomes is unarguably the most popular public figure in the greater KC area.

And, this past week, Mahomes’ and his long-time girl friend’s new $2 million home in Overland Park, KS. was showcased in major magazines and newspapers throughout America.

A beautiful home for the two who are expecting a baby in the near future, newspapers and magazines throughout the country have featured a photo tour of all the various rooms, presumably, to reflect “the new owners’ decorating taste and talent”.

Perhaps, though, this bit of publicity for the star quarterback revealed a little more than intended.

Just maybe this “personable, clean-cut, unassuming “all-American lad” is really just one more naive, gullible, easily manipulated product of America’s leftist-corrupted education and media apparatus.

Up to now, most in the KC area, except the dwindling few who still subscribe to the Kansas City Star,* ( a “news”paper that deservedly is not likely to be around much longer) knew little about Patrick Mahomes other than his superb athletic skills and exploits and his warm, modest, appealing public persona. His “activism”, otherwise, was not widely reported in local media.

Like all of us there’s more to one than outward appearances or, if you’re famous, managed P.R. and press releases.

Mahomes has been cited as a Sports Illustrated ‘sports person of the year,’along with other luminaries of the left including LeBron James. Mahomes was chosen mainly for his controversial “social justice” activity which includes his support for the Black Lives Movement and activities he has involved himself in related to the Colin Kaepernick and George Floyd events…on both he’s on the very “left side’ of the ‘conversation’.

As the UK’s Daily Mail put it: “Similarly, Mahomes helped the NFL embrace the Black Lives Matter movement after previously quarreling with players over the right to protest during the national anthem.

“After joining with other players on a messaging campaign in response to Floyd’s death, Mahomes and his foundation then helped pay for new voting machines in Kansas City.
‘He understands the issue of voter suppression in America,’ wrote former Washington Redskins quarterback Doug Williams, the first black quarterback to start in the Super Bowl. ‘He wanted to make sure that people had an opportunity for a fair election—that whoever you support, you just get the chance to vote.’

In one NFL commercial this year, Mahomes appeared with other players in a BLM endorseded video. Each player appeared ‘for’ an alleged “victim of police racism”…Mahomes cited Tamir Rice, the 12 year old Cleveland youth who was shot by police after brandishing an authentic appearing toy handgun. (The police were cleared of any wrongdoing in the past week. It’s very doubtful that Mahomes is aware of any particulars of that case which would lead to the honest conclusion that it was not police racism, but a very tragic result of the corrosion of the American public’s perception of law enforcement, their role in a free and secure society, and the difficulties and peril they face every day.)

Another thing Mahomes likely doesn’t know much about except what the Left, BLM, and Stacy Abrams say is “voter suppression”… you know, things like “voter identification”.

In addition to efforts promoting the Kaepernick ‘protest’ behavior, the anti-police rhetoric surrounding the Floyd killing, and his willing identification with the radical left Black Lives Matter movement, there was another aspect of the Mahomes persona revealed in the widespread coverage of Mahomes’ new digs.

All in all, Patrick Mahomes is probably, on the whole, much like he is publicly presented…a decent young man, but duped and imbued with a political ideology by a corrupted educational experience.

But, the fact remains, I’m no longer a “fan’ of Patrick Mahomes.          dlh

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes makes his voice heard. He should talk about the Tomahawk Chop       By Dave Helling

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes recently joined with other NFL players in condemning racism and demanding that the league recognize the players’ right to protest injustice.

“I am Tamir Rice,” Mahomes says in the viral Black Lives Matter video, referring to the 12-year-old African American killed by the Cleveland police.

Mahomes’ willingness to take a stand sent a potent message that resonated far beyond Kansas City. “He has been the MVP of this league. He has won a Super Bowl,” said Doug Williams, a former NFL quarterback who’s African American. “It says a lot that he wanted to be involved in pushing for … change. It was very powerful.”

Mahomes has quickly emerged as much more than a star quarterback. He is a respected and consequential voice in the NFL, and his involvement — along with teammate Tyrann Mathieu’s — no doubt played a role in NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s decision to acknowledge that “we were wrong” in handling player protests.

“I’ve been given this platform,” Mahomes later told reporters. “I want to make sure that I can do whatever I can to make the world a better place.

Speaking out and declaring that “Black lives matter” took courage and self-awareness. Mahomes could remain silent and simply enjoy his money and fame, and no one would think less of him for it. He is just 24 years old.

But there is more he can do.

The Chiefs overuse native symbols, particularly the Tomahawk Chop, in marketing and on game day. Many Native American groups find the chop offensive and want it to stop.

The Star Editorial Board has called for a new tradition and an end to this affront to Native Americans. But the team and thousands of fans have resisted. The chop goes on.

That’s where Mahomes comes in. Surely he now recognizes that the chop is unnecessary and provocative, and is particularly offensive at this moment. All Americans, he knows, deserve to be treated with respect — not reduced to a stereotype in a meaningless chant.
