Quotes from possibly, the dumbest Yale grad in that Institution’s history (and that’s saying a lot). Actually, whether or not the former is true, Sonia Sotomayor has legitimate claim to being, not only the dumbest, but the most arrogant Supreme Court Justice in the history of the Republic.

Here are just a few of her ‘WISE” COMMENTS, DRAWN NO DOUBT FROM THE “RICHNESS” OF “HER LIFE EXPERIENCE” .

The first is from her remarks before the Senate at her confirmation hearing. The second is from the Court’s hearing on the Mississippi abortion law which bans killing the unborn  after 15 weeks.

The third of many such statements by the learned Justice Sotomayor was also from that Court hearing and is a not-so-subtle disparagement of her fellow Justices, accusing them of being just what she herself is, an ideologue nominated for the Court by an ideologue…talk about STENCH”!…Sonia, go take a shower!

And, finally, a quote from left-leaning legal authority, Laurence Tribe, who, remarkably, says what many others believe to be true…Sonia is not as bright as she thinks she is! (No news there.)

Seven months of anxiety from the pro-life side for one thing, although there is optimism based on interpretations of the oral arguments, and a reading of other tea leaves. 

Seven months of POSturing  and agitating by the demonic abortion lovers, although there are reports of a level of resignation including that their side did not do well at the bar.

We, having been disappointed numerous times by the likes of Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Barrett and largely disgusted by Roberts, cannot predict the deserving total demise of the abortion license created by force of will of seven justices in 1973. But we pray for it.

Roe and its companion case Doe removed any meaningful protection for the right to life of unborn babies until the moment of birth, creating against the judgement of generations and inimical to any semblance of constitutional jurisprudence, the most wide open abortion license in the western world.  It sustained an ethos of the expendability of innocent human life of infants born alive after an abortion attempt and fed the notion that the right to life was dependent on the feelings of others.

Wade decision really was…and it exposes what phonies so many politicians, including Republicans, from Mario Cuomo to Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden really are…

Expect to read a great deal about how pro-lifers seek to impose their moral views on the nation.

“I protect my right to be a Catholic by preserving your right to believe as a Jew, a Protestant or nonbeliever, or as anything else you choose,” Cuomo said at Notre Dame, according to South Bend Tribune archives. “We know that the price of seeking to force our beliefs on others is that they might someday force theirs on us.”
In the speech, Cuomo said that banning abortion is “not a plausible possibility and even if it could be obtained, it wouldn’t work.” Instead, he said that the way to end abortion is to address its root causes, especially poverty. It is wrong for Catholics and people of other faiths to impose their religious dogma on others through law, the governor said.

HJP sent us this link to an expose by Glen Beck about the lies and coverups regarding COVID , gain of function research etc.   It is lengthy and a YouTube posting so who knows how long it will last there. We suspect Glen Beck’s  Blaze TV will have it archived. It sets forth a number of quotes that are dead-to-rights lies by Fauchi and company. As to the question asked in the title of the piece — Senator Ted Cruz has an answer —  he is a criminal and should be in jail for lying to congress.

Those bell ringers are shaking their fingers at you white people

Along with coins this Christmas, Salvation Army wants white donors to offer a “sincere apology” for their racism

It is one thing to teach ~~ repent ye sinners ~~  it is another to assume a class of people is guilty of a particular sin or to imply something is sin when it isn’t. I won’t suffer the Salvation Army’s insulting racist wokeness anymore this season especially when other worthy charities abound. I do intend to drop a note in a kettle or two with my objection.

The Salvation Army needs to hear from us. There are many worthy charities doing what the Salvation Army does.  They can use the support — thrift stores that have the mission of men women and children in need,  and we suspect with lower overhead (many bell ringers are paid). Drop a donation off to another charity instead.

Any readers who have a short and sweet note to send the SA please forward them to us and we will put them out there as samples without attribution that people might print and place in the kettle.  Local SA leadership need to know and it will filter up.

We are grateful  for America — its seekers, its religious /political founding, its inspired founders, especially its many blessings in spite of our unworthiness from God who knows our failings and inconsistencies.

It is “ahistoric” that this now nation was not created in a chain of events motivated by Christian inspired religious fervor and insight — from the Pilgrims through the Declaration  of Independence, the Constitutional Convention and beyond.

Its founding and the subsequent migration here was motivated first and foremost by a pursuit of religious freedom –freedom from state favored even imposed sectarianism and other impositions of the state. Religious freedom properly entails that the irreligious can live in peace and prosper, and so it attracted them as well (hopefully to realize the transcendent).  It does not mean religious based ideas can not be favored, invoked, implemented. Freedom to peacefully argue for ones’ ideas without punishment by government is key, not that anything goes. That is the ideal behind our American culture of freedom.

Liberals/Democrats want to create the religion of the state, reducing religious and personal freedom. They offer a few licenses, opiates if you will, to the masses that attract them but any play-out of their concept of well-being — is dismal — economically — socially — familialy.  The left has not merely willing accomplices but cheerleaders inculcated in nominally religious institutions, many thoroughly politicized with actually religiously hostile doctrine dominating those institutions with the religion of the state —  a religion intolerant and unforgiving.

We celebrate our founding, our ideals, our nation, the gifts we have received — in all humility we thank God knowing our undeservedness  — but all here should know they reside in a land  the abundance and stability of which was inspired by and dependent on religious principles of freedom, not an overpowering state.

Just in case you missed it, this is the IJT story about Fox News personalities and the resignations of Jonah Goldberg and Steve Hayes…in our opinion two left-minded Trump-haters. For us,” it’s good riddance!’

The interesting things are, #1 Bret Baier seems to be (and, in my mind really is) in sympathy with the views of these two.

The other thing is, the last sentence confirms a story earlier by I believe, Bonchi at RedState, who said Goldberg and Hayes were not going to be reassigned when their contract was up.

However, parsing the meat of the two a**holes statement referring to Tucker Carlson’s special about events during the overwhelmingly peaceful January 6th protest by patriots at our nations capitol and law enforcement’s response:

“The special—which ran on Fox’s subscription streaming service earlier this month and was promoted on Fox News—is presented in the style of an exposé, a hard-hitting piece of investigative journalism. In reality, it is a collection of incoherent conspiracy-mongering, riddled with factual inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions,” the two said in a statement.

Fox News was hip deep with the dominant media’s pearl-clutching narrative about the protestors being insurrectionists or something.  Carlson has challenged that narrative with  facts that were not reported and corrected items that were reported.  The “conspiracy mongering” was promulgated by Fox News et al, their reporting was riddled with “factual inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions”

They continued, “And its message is clear: The U.S. government is targeting patriotic Americans in the same manner —and with the same tools—that it used to target al Qaeda.”

The two a**holes  are oblivious at best if they are not aware of the scope and methodologies used to locate protestors who at most would be guilty of misdemeanors not to mention the “shock and awe” tactics to arrest them and the domestic rendition regarding their incarseration

“This is not happening. And we think it’s dangerous to pretend it is. If a person with such a platform shares such misinformation loud enough and long enough, there are Americans who will believe—and act upon—it,” the statement added.

Right back at you regarding the narrative foisted on the American public but if they have objections by all means put it out there  but expect rebuttal form Tucker Carlson.

The duo said that Fox News does “real reporting.” However, they claimed that “voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible.”

Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with murder and has been exonerated as to any criminal charges that were brought. We think competent legal representation will see him through any further “lawfare”that the usual suspects may attempt to throw at him in civil court.

There were no wrongful deaths or injuries perpetrated by him by any standard by our rights under the Constitution.  To try to destroy him in civil court would mean any assertion of constitutional rights to protect oneself using legal means in the heat of a moment is allowably punished.  That is constitutional nonsense.

Kyle should sue the biased media who went beyond politics for their attempts to convict him, defame him, punish him. If he can be sued by the families of the people justifiably shot, then he ought to, and ought to anyway given their continued attacks on him, sue and countersue them for the distress their family members put him through.

BALTIMORE—The Catholic bishops of the U.S. ended a nearly yearlong debate Wednesday over whether to bar politicians who support abortion rights from receiving the Eucharist, passing new guidance on Communion that doesn’t address the issue.

The measure passed by a vote of 222-8 and was followed by applause at a gathering here of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The vote was the culmination of a debate that has taken most of the year and exposed deep ideological divisions in the church—particularly between U.S. bishops and Rome.

Conservatives in the U.S. had pushed to issue guidelines that would clearly advise clergy not to offer Communion to politicians who support abortion rights, a category that includes President Biden.

But the Vatican warned that such a policy could be divisive, and Pope Francis said the bishops shouldn’t politicize the reception of Communion. Last month, after the two men met at the Vatican, Mr. Biden told reporters that Pope Francis had called him a good Catholic and told him to continue receiving Communion.

Regardless of any guidance from the USCCB, individual bishops ultimately have the power under church law to deny Communion. Cardinal Wilton Gregory, who as archbishop of Washington, D.C. is the president’s pastor, has said that he would not refuse him Communion.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, who has said that the president shouldn’t take Communion, has criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Catholic whose home district is in his archdiocese, for her support of abortion rights.

So a pope spreads the word that any perception of politics must be avoided,* such that even when it comes to abortion — legitimizing the voluntary destruction of unborn members of the human family at any stage of pregnancy, even requiring the church and its adherents to pay for it, is not a big deal  — that a prominent politician advocating it is in full communion as it were . . . just another sinner and because of political correctness — thought to be well-meaning as well.  There is no apostasy big enough to separate oneself from the Church. Apparently you could notoriously announce for satanism or return of Jim Crow laws and proudly walk up to the communion rail and expect (demand) communion.  That is the logic of the church establishment under Francis’ heresy.

We know that it is not a two way street, Nancy Pelosi can bring her brand of religion into the political sphere and we have no doubt be welcome to spew it in any number of  Catholic Churches.

Only when it comes to abortion under Francis and so many of the American Bishops are we reminded of Abraham Lincolns frustration, with Whigs and other political elements squeamish over the “social issue” of the day, slavery.

“We must not call it wrong in politics because that is bringing morality into politics; we must not call it wrong in the pulpit because that is bringing politics into religion … and there is no single place, according to you where this wrong thing can be properly called wrong!”

A Catholic slaveholder today by Francis’ lights might be told he is a good Catholic and told to keep receiving communion. Communion is food for the soul, don’t you know . . .  and so by that logic we wonder how could anyone but an anti-slavery zealot be scandalized, how could the church’s position on slavery be confused  or the seriousness misunderstood should a notorious slaveholder present himself for communion??  By Francis’ light a priest might call abortion wrong, once in awhile as Francis has done, as long he does not obsess about it, he just can’t risk shaming a notorious politician responsible for its legality by denying him communion.  That would be one who has shamed himself on such a serious matter but nevertheless publicly presents himself/herself for communion who also effectively shames the church by implicating to the congregation that he/she is in full communion with it . . . that the church really does not take the matter seriously .. . . that abortion and the church’s position is no big deal.

*this from a pope who injects himself  “left and left” on matters of immigration, climate change, world government, economics, vaccines, you name it.
