Democrats hail ‘common-sense’ fighter plane controls

President Biden took a major step to control anti-government violence Friday when he signed into law a prohibition on the ownership of F-15 Fighter jets and nuclear weapons by private citizens.

General Mark Milley immediately pronounced Biden’s action a major step in dealing with ‘white rage’!

“Karl Marx and Mao Tse Tung, both of whom I’ve read by the way, would never have tolerated ‘hate groups’ like the “Proud Boys” or the “National Nuclear Weapons Association” (NNWA)”, or the ‘Knights of St. John’, Milley said.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi hailed the President’s order as “common sense executive action”.
It will get these weapons of war out of the hands of Republicans and other white racists who seek to do great harm to congresspersons, she said.

Biden added, “the blood of Democrat patriots, or Tuskegee Airmen,. will not be shed to advance the interests of … of… well, you know…uh “Biden’s latest executive action

Iowans need to monitor whether racist CRT (Critical Race Theory) is being taught sub-rosa in spite of law proscribing it

  • Right here in River City – local teachers have already been instructed in indoctrinating, infusing CRT precepts into curricula

Massively informative exposé (link below)

CRT will be implemented unless changes are made in school boards across the country

You can’t make changes without school board candidates

The Iowa legislature passed and governor Reynolds signed on June 8th a law, effective July 1, to presumably ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT). The Imprimis analysis below explains the deeply racist hateful nature of that Marxist inspired propaganda called CRT

.Critical Race Theory: What It Is and How to Fight It

At the time the ban was working its way through the legislature at least one Area Education Agency (AEA) in Iowa, the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (MBAEA) was hurrying to get teachers indoctrinated with how to thoroughly implement the “whites are the scum of the earth” pedagogy.

The AEA’s are part of the Iowa Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and receive their funding  and any authorities they have pursuant to Iowa law. The MBAEA encompasses Scott County area public school districts along with those in adjacent counties along school district lines. Accredited non-public schools can avail themselves of the services as well.  There are nine of these AEAs in Iowa and their basic purpose is to serve as a resource provider of various sorts for contracting member school districts.

According to the “about us” page on the MBAEA website: AEA’s serve as intermediate units providing educational services to local schools.   Special Education services comprise about 80 percent of the AEA budget (Ed. note – a minimum of 70% is required by law) and include: Academic Consultants, Behavior Consultants, Hearing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, School Psychology, School Social Work,Speech, and Vision. The remaining 20% of their budget (not necessarily activity) includes two general areas: Educational Services (which) include: Literacy, Math, Professional Development, Science, Teacher Leadership & Compensation, Instructional Technology, and Talented & Gifted and Media services which according to their “about us” description includes: Iowa AEA Online, Lending Library, Print & Production, and Technology.

The educational services and perhaps media service functions apparently provide the operational funding for development and distribution of seminars and model curriculum  for teachers, should individual school districts “contract for it” as other reading implies that school districts do not have to take advantage of all offerings. Parents of public and accredited private school students are familiar with so called “in service days” in which school is dismissed to allow teachers, in part,  to participate in services provided or developed by AEA’s. Such AEA services can also be conveyed between school terms.

Conservative media outlets have made reference to an exposé by attendees in a recent CRT indoctrination curriculum development conducted by the MBAEA (see below)  We do not know specifically at this writing if any school districts did not participate in or authorize their instructional and other personnel to involve themselves in what should already have been recognized as 1) soon to be contrary to law and clearly against policy established by the people’s representatives and 2) an egregious distortion of American history and founding principles.

In a search on their site going back to June 8 it ought to be noted that the QCTimes at this writing has not mentioned the MBAEA controversy in spite of the extensive alternative media and the Governor’s office responding to and implicitly confirming the MBAEA activity in a press release.  We suspect the QC Times blackout for now is in order to protect liberal school board members acceptance of such essentially racist white derogatory doctrine as appropriate while they publish Associated Press sophistry about the general subject.

Citizens here ought to be outraged that such crude or subtle race hatred propaganda was ever authorized or consumed  by administrators and teachers with or without sanction of law. Given the proclivities of so much of the educational establishment we have no doubt that unless citizens keep a watchful eye on what children are being taught and assert themselves to the teachers, principals and school boards that this wrong, divisive propaganda intent on rending the fabric of our nation for purposes of “divide and conquer” will be incorporated sub-rosa.

School boards especially in the urban school districts are determined by teacher union activity, lack of candidate transparency, and regrettably citizen naivety, ignorance and indifference. Conservatives citizens cannot continue in that mode. Liberal elements are not so indifferent.   The battle over what children are taught has to be joined for the good of our country — children and culture.

Here are links and excerpts from the exposé followed by additional links regarding CRT . The main link with extensive documentation is via the good work @bennyjohnson, now archived as the usual suspects have made an effort to expunge the course material and avoid the light.   There is much to the exposé including imbedded links. Please go to the site for its compelling information. The slide below is one of the tools used to represent to teachers what constitutes “Socially unacceptable” “Overt White Supremacy” which by the way includes not believing what they say.  The people they are talking about are the 70 to 80 million people who voted for Trump.  Inside the blue triangle are all manner of policies, concepts or thought processes that white people supposedly generally practice in the propagandist’s warped line of reasoning caricature.  A more divisive, subversive, anti-American, sinister, racist brainwashing is hard to imagine.

These are interesting times

We apologize for not doing a better more consistent job at plugging away, posting more the last few days, but here is our excuse and we think you can appreciate it:

The revelations of fraud, manipulation, ulterior motives,  malpractice, incompetence, misanthropic callousness, hypocrisy, constitutional outrage and we do not hesitate to say, even mass murder, surrounding the Wuhan virus whether at the hands of China, or bureaucrats in the US, certain political leaders and their counterparts worldwide, in addition to the medical, pharmaceutical, dominant media, religious, legal, Big- Tech, corporate weenies, and one-world government true believers and fellow travelers who used this virus as an excuse for all manner of outrages producing  the most devastating    of economic, medical, socio-political, “expert” human carnage their designs or incompetence could muster — have been daily and extensive.

How do you get distracted from all that.  As a political blog writer, you don’t, you get overwhelmed, not to mention working for a living and other exigencies of life.

Now throw in revelations about the deep-state, the extent of fraud and illegalities in the election of 2020, the machinations of Democrats, cultural rot, local and state players and issues, the distortions surrounding Jan. 6, the failures of the judiciary especially the Supreme Court, porous borders,  the Republican Party and politicians, and so much more worthy of comment, ridicule what have you.

Nevertheless thanks to the those who forward items of interest. You make this a more timely effort. If items are not used, they should have been, but it is just because “see above”.  Thanks for checking back for new posts.  We strive for at least one new post each day. And by the way, we are nearing our tenth year of political commentary as the outreach of Iowa Veritas PAC. We will keep trying, you keep checking back.

If those wind turbines are not spinning what good are they?

None, other than to serve as one of the most obscene demonstrations of government boondoggles, special interest lawmaking and graft, waste of taxpayer money, assault on environmental legitimacy, damnable ugly things.

This hot weather stretches electrical energy demand for air-conditioning does it not?  Are the windmills turning enough in the summer doldrums to justify them as substitutes for reliable energy which must be continuously up and running anyway? Not by our observation.  This article at PowerLine summarizes the wind energy boondoggle. Also read the comment section for anecdotes about the states like Iowa that have so many of these monstrosities.

Covidistan and The Great Reset, they are in for a reckoning

Amen we say unto you. — go forth and ridicule subtly if need be, with love to whom it must be, with distain to the manipulators, but resist, resist with all your heart

Two excellent commentaries at Townhall from Scott Morefield and Kurt Schlichter

NOT ONE INCH To Covidstan.

Excerpt re the control bureaucracy and the sheeple “Branch Covidians”   . . .

Let alone ‘scientific,’ these aren’t even rational people. They are terrorists. And you don’t compromise with terrorists. You ‘destroy’ them, in this case figuratively, by first refusing to submit to their ridiculous edicts and demands, then relentlessly assaulting their credibility with facts and data, and finally, if possible, bringing the power of governments and the judicial system down upon their worthless, discredited heads.

Forced public masking must be resisted and destroyed EVERYWHERE it is practiced, including and especially schools and public transportation, places where the system seeks to maintain its foothold in an effort to expand it again once the next respiratory virus wave hits (and it will). Vaccine passports must be rejected and made illegal in states controlled by the GOP, and any notion that children or the previously infected, a population group at absolutely ZERO statistical risk, should be compelled to take a vaccine should be rejected out of hand for the quasi-medical quackery that it is. And ANY form of lockdowns or business closures as a way to ‘curb the spread’ of any new COVID-19 wave, however small or large, should be fought at all costs.

Covidstan, a ‘nation’ whose ‘borders’ stretch across the globe, was established and maintained based on lies – that the death rate was far larger than it turned out to be, that children and the young were at statistical risk, and that non-pharmaceutical human ‘interventions’ could make a difference in stopping a highly contagious respiratory virus. It is led by frauds and populated by sheep all-too-willing to mindlessly obey those frauds. It has zero credibility and even less moral basis for existing.

The Coma Before the Storm

Both authors are compelling in their message. Here Schlichter puts the control freaks and the Great Reset advocates on notice, detecting that normal people will reset the resetters. Read the entirety of both.

Is Kamala Harris being set up?

This RedState commentary by Bonchie, excerpted here, argues that — our take follows. (collection of delightful images not from RedState)

Kamala Harris Is Being Set Up.

Harris has been crashing and burning in regards to the border for weeks. It’s so bad at this point that even the mainstream media are going after her with the kind of veracity you’d never expect. After all, this is Kamala Harris we are talking about, and critical media coverage isn’t supposed to happen. There’s no way a piece like that gets written by CNN without input from the White House.

But here’s the thing – all Joe Biden has to do to save Harris is send her to the border. So why hasn’t he?

Instead, Harris has been left to twist in the wind, thrown into multiple major network interviews without an ability to answer basic inquiries about why she hasn’t gone to personally survey the illegal immigration crisis. There are no actual risks with her going to the border. It’s not like the media are going to suddenly turn on the Biden administration and stop covering up what’s going on. The only real logical conclusion left is that Harris’s disastrous tour wasn’t disastrous by sheer chance.

Don’t get me wrong, Harris is an absolutely awful politician on her own merits. Every embarrassing flub and hysterical cackle of the last week serves as a reminder of why her own presidential campaign was such a failure. Yet, the Biden administration knows she’s incapable of being a likable, competent figure. Instead of helping her and protecting her, they are hanging the border crisis around her neck and throwing her into the deep end with no floaties on. Further, they are negating to do the one thing that could settle a lot of the questions causing Harris so much consternation – just sending her to the border and getting it over with.

Meanwhile, Jill Biden is chilling at the G7, rubbing shoulders with royalty and cosplaying as co-president to the glowing reviews of the media. It’s all just too perfect to be a coincidence at this point. I’m convinced – Harris is the fall guy, and she’s being pushed over the cliff by the very administration she serves.

To which we say: Maybe.

But given that making her look bad also hurts the competence image of the Biden administration, as in Biden’s handlers, wouldn’t burning her to a great degree be self-immolation?  Then again they do need a fall guy and don’t underestimate palace intrigues. And does having somebody next in line AS stupid and mendacious as Joe  give them impeachment insurance? Or, consistent with Bonchie’s thoughts, Joe’s handlers be they led by Obama for now or Jill, will take the competence hit, famously yank her from her duties with the right stories being planted, (after they get the chaos/point of no return they want). They don’t trust Kamala Harris and with her ascension they would be personally out of power.  They are at least putting her in her place for now, or allowing her to be exposed for the incompetent she is (how is it she does not insist on going to the border). Then again if she were to go there, there is a very real probability they won’t be able to control the optics and the obligatory meetings with locals and law enforcement are not likely to go well.  Kamala Harris could be a loose loose. Thus you understand our “maybe”.

Omar now ready for a key post in Democratic caucus

Ilhan Omar’s Comments on Israel Reopen Democratic Party’s Divisions
Minnesota congresswoman says she wasn’t equating U.S., Israel with terrorist groups

WASHINGTON—Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) moved to quell an intraparty fight by softening comments she had made earlier in the week that “appeared to equate actions by the U.S. and Israel with those of terrorist organizations.”

Ms. Omar, an outspoken critic of Israel,.. (only)… tweeted Monday: “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.”

Thank Allah, Omar didn’t say, “Since when did terms clearly showing “anti-Israel, anti-America” bias become offensive?”

(Steve King was driven from Congress when he was quoted by a NY Times writer asking “when terms like white nationalist, white supremacist, and Western civilization became offensive…”

King protested that the quote, as presented by a NY Times writer (?no bias? there) omitted context.

But it was enough for fellow Republicans to swing into action…as the Democrats will soon do with Omar (breath holders, call your EMT now).       dlh

——————-
By Eliza Collins, WSJ
The controversy over the tweet and Democratic colleagues’ reactions highlighted the divisions in the party over Middle East policy, which deepened during the recent fighting between Israel and Hamas. During the conflict, progressive Democrats in both the House and Senate briefly attempted to stop a $735 million weapons sale to Israel.

The new dispute started when Ms. Omar, an outspoken critic of Israel, tweeted Monday: “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.”

The tweet was posted along with a video exchange in which she asked Secretary of State Antony Blinken about how victims could find justice for alleged war crimes by the U.S. and the Taliban in Afghanistan, and Israel and Hamas.

In response to the tweet, some Democrats accused her of giving cover to terrorists.
“Ignoring the differences between democracies governed by the rule of law and contemptible organizations that engage in terrorism at best discredits one’s intended argument and at worst reflects deep-seated prejudice,” the group of a dozen Jewish Democrats, led by Rep. Brad Schneider (D., Ill.), said in a statement late Wednesday night. They asked that she clarify her comment.

Ms. Omar, the first Black Muslim woman to serve in Congress, initially responded on Twitter by saying her colleagues should have reached out to her personally rather than issue a statement, and accused them of using anti-Muslim tropes. “The constant harassment & silencing from the signers of this letter is unbearable,” she tweeted.

However, Thursday afternoon she offered a different take on her initial comments,

Pointing to the video exchange that accompanied the tweet. “The conversation was about accountability for specific incidents regarding those [International Criminal Court] cases, not a moral comparison between Hamas and the Taliban and the U.S. and Israel. I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems.”

Shortly after she released that statement, House Democratic leaders, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, responded that they welcomed the clarification. They said while criticism of the U.S. and Israel is healthy, “drawing false equivalencies between democracies like the U.S. and Israel and groups that engage in terrorism like Hamas and the Taliban foments prejudice and undermines progress” toward peace and security.

Ms. Omar has angered her colleagues over remarks about Israel before. In 2019, she apologized for using language that was criticized as anti-Semitic after both Democratic and Republican leaders condemned her suggestion that lawmakers’ support for Israel was driven by money from a pro-Israel group.

While Ms. Omar has been vocal in her frustrations, she isn’t alone. The party’s left flank has become increasingly public in their opposition to U.S. policy with Israel, and the liberal wing came to her defense.

“Members of the Democratic Caucus owe it to each other to pause, reflect, and engage directly with each other when misunderstandings arise, and stand together against cynical attempts to divide our caucus,” said Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.), chairwoman of the roughly 100-person Congressional Progressive Caucus, in a statement issued in support of Ms. Omar Thursday evening.

Some members were more direct.

“Enough with the anti-Blackness and Islamophobia,” tweeted Rep. Cori Bush (D., Mo.).

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) called Ms. Omar’s comments anti-Semitic and anti-American. He said Mrs. Pelosi’s “continued failure to address the issues in her caucus sends a message to the world that Democrats are tolerant of anti-Semitism and sympathizing with terrorists.”

A spokesman for Mrs. Pelosi pointed The Wall Street Journal to the Democratic leadership’s broader comment.

Republicans have struggled with internal division over one of their members as well and Mr. McCarthy also has been criticized for his failure to act. Eleven Republicans joined with Democrats to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) of her committee assignments earlier this year over her past embrace of conspiracy theories after Mr. McCarthy had opted not to remove her from the panels.

Last month, Mr. McCarthy and other top Republicans condemned comments she made comparing proof of Covid-19 vaccinations with actions taken against Jewish people by Nazi Germany leading up to the Holocaust.

Democrats fail to gin up 7% of the people to call for special Auditor election

  • All the kings horses and all of the kings men . . . couldn’t put their favorite office back together again (at least for now)

Which message have Scott County residents delivered to the Democrat Party — we don’t trust you in the auditors office; we are tired of your hypocritical BS; your media division can’t drag you over the finish line?

Disregard their excuses and happy face.  This is a big failure/defeat for them. We hope a harbinger.  It may be consistent with this article from last week which we will have more comment on another day:   ‘Past the point of no return’? Iowa Dems feel hopes fading .

Oh by no means count Dems out.  All the organizational and money advantages are still theirs. And, you can’t win with nothing and Republicans of late (hopefully changed) have failed to even run candidates much less seriously go on the offensive in various races in the community.

Republican Party apparat needs to organizationally become involved in so-called non-partisan races that have far-reaching trickle up and trickle down political effect. Especially this means school boards which are absolutely key to culture change, which Democrats know and subvert by the un-virtual owning of them through teacher union dominance. Even deep scandals are overcome by the brute force of the liberal teacher turnout machine.  Even partisan races including the auditor’s office Republicans have pathetically bequeathed to Democrats over the years.

And never underestimate the power of Republicans to fail to consolidate or advance in victory.

Here is the QC Times article about the Democrats not getting enough signatures to force an unnecessary and costly special election.  You can read about the Democrats chicanery and hypocrisy regarding the county offices in several recent articles here at V’pac. See these links.  We set forth the QC Times article below to allow for our annotations in red which we will to add here and there and invite readers to send their observations which we will incorporate.

Petition to force special election in wake of Scott County Auditor appointment fails

Local Democrats were unable to gather enough valid signatures to force a special election to choose Scott County’s next auditor after a recent change to state law shortened the amount of time they had to do so.

Scott County Democrats gathered more than 6,200 signatures in 14 days, shy of the nearly 9,260 needed from eligible Scott County voters. The number, however, far exceeds the number of signatures previously collected in similar petition efforts, according to Democrats. Previously, the highest number of signatures gathered was 3,500.

The QCTimes quotes this without investigation or reference or fact checking the assertion. And where is it written as a matter of political science that a petition of 3500 ought to be adequate to trigger a special election of county-wide office when that number is less than 2% of the population; less than 2.7% of the registered voters and less than 3.8% of the turnout in the most recent general election! It is a preposterously low sum in the scheme of things subject to all manner of mischief from malcontents like Democrats.  It seems prudent that the trigger ought to be set higher and  10% of the last general election turn-out is more reasonable.

Democrats faced an uphill climb to force a special election after the Republican-majority Scott County Board of Supervisors opted to appoint fellow Republican and former Davenport alderwoman Kerri Tompkins to fill the vacancy left by former Scott County Auditor Roxanna Moritz

Funny how the QCT/Tom Barton article didn’t analyze the partisan background to the Democrat shenanigans regarding Supervisor Maxwell (see related links here).

Moritz, a Democrat, abruptly retired April 23, five months after being re-elected in 2020. She was unopposed

More pertinently, Moritz announced her retirement barely TWO months into her new term.

Moritz announced in March she was nearing retirement and chose to step down early out of concerns over actions by state lawmakers and county supervisors she said will make the job more difficult.

A new law signed in March, sponsored by state Sen. Roby Smith, R-Davenport, also affected filling the vacancy

Democrats had just 14 days to gather enough signatures equal to 10% of the vote cast in Scott County in the last presidential election, rather than the four to six weeks under the previous law, to force an election.

Scott County Democratic Party Chairwoman Elesha Gayman (right) and First Vice Chairman Matt Trimble (left) hold out copies of petitions signed by Scott County voters. Local Democrats were unable to gather enough valid signatures to force a special election to choose Scott County’s next auditor after a recent change to state law shortened the amount of time they had to do so.
Tom Barton

“What I want this message to really send to the voters of Scott County is to know the the Democratic party is going to continue to stand up for the right to vote,” Scott County Democratic Party Chairwoman Elesha Gayman said at a Wednesday news conference. “We’re not going to lay down. We’re not going to turn around while this voter suppression happens in our backyards.’

Tompkins will serve until voters elect an auditor to a full term during the next general election in November 2022.

Partisan contention surrounded the process for appointing her to the role and raised questions as to whether Republican supervisors violated Iowa’s open meetings law.

Republican supervisors said they opted against a special election out of concern for its cost and efficiency.

The party-line vote, though, drew a rapid response by Iowa Democrats, who with help from state party officials and officeholders, tried to collect more than 10,000 signatures to allow a special election

“Iowa Democrats are fired up and ready to organize,” Iowa Democratic Party Chair Ross Wilburn said in a statement. “They were able to gather a record number of signatures under a new set of rules passed by Republicans and intentionally designed to limit citizen participation and power. The GOP should be worried. We are united as a party and stand ready to fight against voter suppression all across Iowa.”

Gayman said the county party’s next step will be contacting some 10,000 Scott County voters whose registration status was changed to “inactive” because they did not vote in the November election.

Under new voting restrictions signed into law in March, voters are listed as “inactive” after missing just one election. Previously, voters had to miss two consecutive general elections to be marked “inactive.” A process critics argue is accelerated and puts voters at greater risk of having their voter registration canceled.

“We’re gong to continue to work to empower Scott County voters,” Gayman said, including contacting Democrats, independents and Republicans to “get those individuals back” to active voter status.
