There are, however, realities that disappointed, and rightfully concerned conservatives should accept, include the following:

Whatever the merits of the belief that this election was not honest, all the apparent evidence of that will not succeed in our current “courts of law”. If one can believe that fraudulent national elections are part of today’s culture, how much of a stretch is it to know that our courts… our judiciary…is also incredibly corrupt. If you can’t believe that you probably can’t believe other ”wild’ claims that there are states in this great nation whose voters would actually vote to make extraordinarily  dangerous drugs like heroine and cocaine, legal ! If you find it impossible to believe that Joe Biden, despite all the indications of election fraud, and the things widely known about him, and those not so properly communicated about him, could be elected president of the United States, consider these other realities:

– Joe Biden is the least visible radical leftist in modern politics. Always a ‘liberal’, or ‘progressive’, Biden has always been one of the dimmest bulbs in congress. (as former Defense Secretary Bob Gates correctly noted, “Joe Biden has been wrong about every major foreign policy position he’s taken in over 40 years”). But he continued to be reelected, term after term.

– the notion that Joe Biden, despite his dim-wittedness, his remarkably stupid public statements, the viciousness and dishonesty he has displayed toward political opponents (i.e. Judge Bork, Clarence Thomas) is a smartly political,  “nice guy” is legendary…and wholly mythical ! Joe Biden and Ted Kennedy were two of the ‘least nice’ guys, ever, in the US Senate.

– the myth of Biden’s “niceness” has been reinforced over the years, and most recently throughout this year’s election cycle by the media and his fellow officeholders (even the ‘conservative’ outlets and fellow Republican politicians defer in discussing Biden with,”Joe is one of the nicest guys I know…despite his many ‘gaffes'”). We believe those who know better still spread the myth of Joe’s “niceness” because there is nothing else about him one can say without being seen as ‘uncharitable’…in fact, he’s unprincipled, underhanded, greedy, nasty in his treatment of political opponents, easily manipulated when he sees personal political gain, and not very bright! But, he smiles a lot. (If you think I write like I know Joe intimately,that’s not my intention. But if you have read and considered factual reports from credible media about Joe, you would agree the description of him I offer is accurate.)

Besides the possible, if not probable, election fraud and the corruption of our judicial system, there is another sad reality that honest, hardworking, patriotic Americans must accept about the presidential election of 2020: so many of our fellow Americans… well-meaning, normally thoughtful, moral, even the religious faithful, believe that Biden is “better for the country” than Donald Trump.

There’s a reason for this extremely misguided notion:

a) Biden talks a lot about his “faith”. Like Nancy Pelosi, they’ve worked at making people believe their “God-fearing ways, their devotion to their “Catholic faith”, their alignment with the views of Pope Francis, the media solidifying the myth of Biden’s “niceness” and commitment to “unity”, “compassion”, etc.

b) Trump’s manner of campaigning and carrying out his presidential duties is so different from other presidents in modern times. Even though, Trump may eventually be recognized as the most positively consequential president in the nation’s history, his “style” is a ‘turnoff ‘ for many of the American people described above (“well-meaning”, “normally thoughtful”, etc).

And yet the public behavior of Trump which is so off-putting to many is nothing compared to the less-public, and far-less well-known behavior than that of most of his predecessors.

Lyndon Johnson may have been the crudest, most vulgar person to ever occupy the Oval Office. JFK may have had the most extreme of sexual appetites, almost none of which were known during his time in office but in recent years have been disclosed, though not nearly as exposed as Trump’s less extreme actions.

Only Clinton, it is generally conceded, was blatantly more offensive in his actual behavior than Trump’s widely exaggerated alleged behavior.

Other presidents before recent times were not as openly exposed as in the recent age. Eisenhower and his ‘alleged affair’ with his driver, ‘Ms.Kay Summersby’* was revealed by the press but without much in the way of sensationalism. There was much about FDR that was not known publicly but was later revealed to little public notice.

At any rate, the bottom line is, there is nothing that will overturn the election of Joe Biden in 2020. It’s our belief that the next 4 years are likely to be disastrous for the USA, but that our nation, and its basic goodness among nations of the world will survive, if barely. And, assuming America comes ‘out the other side’ of a Biden- then Harris presidency, it will be stronger.

Dark days lie ahead, however, and its unlikely we will ever see another person like Donald Trump as our president…and for those two realities, we should all be regretful.  dlh

SUSAN RICE FOR SECRETARY OF STATE? THEN HOW ABOUT ‘BO’ BERGDAHL FOR SECRETARY OF DEFENSE?

Politico had been saying before the election, that the pandemic and the “resulting economic devastation” would be likely to consume ‘President’ Biden’s early months in office. Current and former US officials were then saying that could lead him to choose a Secretary of State with ‘past experience at the State Department’ because the person would not need much on-the-job-training in “Foggy Bottom.”

According to Politico, that makes Susan Rice–“an experienced foreign policy hand”…an “appealing option” for Secretary of State. She and Biden, according to Politico, have a “warm relationship”, though they disagreed over how to deal with tumult in places like Egypt and Libya when Biden was vice president.

Wow!

When some folks were thinking maybe their vote wasn’t all that important and it wouldn’t make that much difference who became president, were they also considering the fact that a person like Susan Rice would be a key member of a Biden Cabinet and have significant impact on the national security?!

If Susan Rice is famous and well-known for anything, it would be her worldwide reputation as a liar!

She made an indelible mark on State Department history as Obama’s foremost liar when she went on 5 political talk shows on one Sunday and totally misrepresented what happened in the Benghazi attack. And she did it with that straight smug face that has become her trademark.

But that may not have been her most damaging lie. Dr. Rice’s “tour de force” was her bogus claims regarding Obama’s “success” in Syria’s removal of chemical weapons.

For that, the “future Secretary Of State” won 4 Pinnochios from the Washington Post, of all Obama-supporting fake news organizations! (see Fox April 2017 story below)!

But, if Hillary Clinton can be a Secretary of State, a post once respected by all nations, why not Susan Rice?

Furthermore, why not ‘Bo’ Bergdahl for Secretary of Defense?

What We Must Believe to Believe Biden Won
We must accept a perfect storm of implausible anomalies and brazen irregularities.

The Democrats dismiss any mention of the innumerable irregularities that tainted the general election as little more than crackpot conspiracy theories. This is a convenient way to avoid addressing serious questions raised by serious observers, but it will further undermine confidence in key institutions that form the foundation upon which the republic stands. Public trust in government, media, and even science was already declining before Election Day. This trend will dramatically accelerate if Americans don’t get answers to questions such as the following: Why would the voters deliver the Democrats a comprehensive down-ballot drubbing yet hand the White House to the worst presidential candidate in living memory?

The only bellwether county out of the 19 that Biden won is located in Washington state, which long ago went to all mail-in ballots and one-party rule. We are expected to believe that this is a coincidence.

The last time a Democrat “won” the presidency while his party sustained a double-digit loss in the House was in 1960, during an election tainted by probable vote fraud in Illinois and Texas. Still, we’re expected to believe that Joe Biden achieved the same feat in 2020 with no skulduggery? Moreover, as Juan Williams admits in the Hill, “President Trump set a record last week by attracting the highest percentage of the non-white vote of any Republican presidential candidate in the last 60 years.” Yet we are expected to believe that, despite the worst showing among minorities of any Democratic nominee since JFK, Biden surpassed Barack Obama’s record-breaking turnout by 10 million votes?

Biden’s “victory” seems even more implausible after an audit of his performance in remarkably predictive bellwethers. The Wall Street Journal reports that Biden had a nearly perfect record of losses in counties whose election results have presaged presidential winners for decades: “From 1980 through 2016, 19 of the nation’s more than 3,000 counties voted for the eventual president in every election. Only one … backed President-elect Joe Biden last week.” So, a candidate who campaigned from his basement lost 95 percent of these counties yet won the election? What of the fabled bellwether Ohio? Last month, the New York Times advised that if Trump didn’t win there it was over:

Four years ago, Mr. Trump built a particularly balanced coalition among Ohio’s white voters, winning across education levels. But his support in the state has waned over the past four years, particularly in the suburbs … Columbus’s growth, and the expansion of suburbs and exurbs into what used to be rural and blue-collar areas, might have once spelled an opportunity for Republicans. But under Mr. Trump the Republican Party has lost its footing among specifically these kinds of voters — and the growth in Franklin County plays into Mr. Biden’s hands.

Well, not so much. President Trump trounced Biden in Ohio, winning the state by 8.2 percent. Suddenly, AP demoted the state to a bit player in presidential politics:

As Ohio goes, so goes the nation. That’s the way it had been in presidential elections for more than half a century, until this year, when Republican Donald Trump won a decisive victory in the state while losing the presidency to Democrat Joe Biden. Biden becomes the first president elected without carrying Ohio since fellow Democrat John F. Kennedy in 1960. Trump’s statewide victory — his second, after carrying Ohio in 2016 — brings an end to Ohio’s role as a presidential bellwether and even puts its future as a battleground state in doubt.

What we are expected to believe here is that the bellwether counties discussed by the Wall Street Journal and the Buckeye State have been left behind by the rest of the nation in the long march toward the mandatory lockdowns and mask mandates that Biden wants to impose on the electorate. In reality, Trump won Ohio and the vast majority of these counties because absentee ballots were managed transparently according to long-standing and coherent guidelines in place long before the election. The only bellwether county out of the 19 that Biden won is located in Washington state, which long ago went to all mail-in ballots and one-party rule. We are expected to believe that this is a coincidence.

This brings us to ground zero for election fraud — Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth illegally changed its election rules before and during the voting process. Essentially, the Commonwealth Court and the Secretary of the Commonwealth ignored the General Assembly and the U.S. Constitution to rig the election on behalf of Joe Biden. The American Spectator’s Paul Kengor and Jeffrey Lord have covered this chicanery here, here, here, and here. We are expected to believe that such stories are conspiracy theories, despite videos showing Democrat election officials evicting Republican election observers from vote-counting locations and erecting physical barriers to prevent them from watching.

Finally, we come to the Smartmatic/Dominion software that was used to tabulate votes in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. As this Fox interview with Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani reveals, this software was developed in Venezuela and banned from the U.S. a decade ago. It’s now been brought back into the country under the aegis of a subcontractor. Its major design feature is that it allows the vote counters to calculate how many votes they need to win. Jeffrey Lord has more here. The Democrats want you to believe this is a conspiracy theory. It isn’t. The Democrats knew they couldn’t beat Trump honestly, so they’re stealing the election.

In the end, to accept Joe Biden as our legitimate Chief Executive, we must believe the voters hammered the Democrats in congressional, state, and local elections, yet decided to elect the “leader” of their party president. We must believe that he dramatically underperformed among minority voters, yet received 10 million more votes than Barack Obama. We must believe that virtually all of the reliable election bellwethers were wrong. We must believe that all of the elections in the swing states were conducted honestly and that the Venezuelan software used to tabulate the votes was secure. All of this beggars belief. Joe Biden may be inaugurated in January, but he certainly wasn’t elected president.

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?

As far as we know, Christina Laila’s story (below) in the Gateway Pundit blog was the first disclosure that the ‘widely acclaimed’ investigator, John Durham, after 16 months, was dropping his “investigation of “Spygate”.

Throughout those 16 months, respected reporters like John Solomon and Sara Carter, pundits like Sean Hannity, sober columnists like Byron York and Michael Goodwin, breathlessly reported that indictments of top former Obama officials in the national security and federal law enforcement apparatus seemed imminent.

Since Laila’s story, however,  little has been reported by the “mainstream” news sources. There have been some columnists who have written about Durham ‘throwing in the towel’… what should be a major story.. (one of those columnists is Patricia McCarthy, excerpts of  her column are shown below)…but little else.

Admittedly, there have been some very important stories in the past several days which merited extensive coverage and knocked this one off front pages…a major one concerning the possible, in our view probable, fraud surrounding the alleged election of “Sleepy Joe” Biden.

But we believe, call us ‘overreacting’, that the investigation of “Spygate”, the saga of the “Russia Hoax” which was created in order to destroy a presidential candidacy and undermine the administration of a duly elected United States President, was no small event in the history of this country! Besides AG Barr’s early statements that the Trump campaign had been spied on by the Obama administration, other evidence had been unearthed by responsible media sources that the highest officials in the FBI, CIA, and national security depts. had been involved in trying to, literally, overthrow the US government.

As Ms. McCarthy noted in her column,”It is with desperation that Trump-supporters — those of us who are faithful to the Constitution and expect our elected officials to be faithful to it as well — are distraught at the rumor that Durham is giving up on his investigation of the coup-plotters, who broke every law on the books in their attempt to derail the Trump presidency.”

We think McCarthy is accurate in her comments, but understates just how “desperate” and “distraught” we are!

Attorney General William Barr, upon his nomination to head the Justice Department was touted as THE guy to get to the bottom of what very likely was the most serious attempt to overthrow the government of the United States in all of its history.

We all remember the adulation and the deference paid to Mr. “Above Reproach”, a ‘standup guy’ with the courage of Achilles and wisdom, brilliance, and judgment rarely found on this planet…and never in Washington!

But then, to top it off, Mr. Barr goes out and hires the greatest investigator since Harry (“Make my day”) Callahan…the ‘bearded menace’, John Durham!

These two guys were going to ‘get to the bottom’ of the biggest political scandal in American history, identify the wrongdoers regardless of how high in government they had been, and bring them  to justice. Proof was abundant and all of it provided to Mr. Durham as he meticulously put his ‘case’ together.

To paraphrase another great American…”Justice at Last! Thank God Almighty! Justice At Last!”

Yep, nothing about Ol’Joe saying that, which he did.  Wonder how and why that happened?

As to Trump’s comment as portrayed by the QCTimes indicating Trump said Biden  “won election”  Trump was exercising his Tweeter and did not put quotes around the word “won” because he went on to say it was rigged which means it really was not “won” other than rhetorically.  It has certainly not been “won” and Biden is not the President-elect at least as yet.  No official determination as to the winner has been made, the only declarations are by the media.

What we are finding out is that would have the QC Times issued such a Biden related headline as we searched for,  it would have reflected reality, as Biden heads the Democrat Party and the revelations of fraud are extensive, perpetrated by Democrat operatives and determinative of a hijacked election attempt.

REPORT: John Durham Dropping His Investigations into Spygate, “Worried About Blowback From Joe Biden”

It appears the appointment of John Durham was another head fake.

US Attorney General Bill Barr appointed US Attorney from Connecticut John Durham to investigate the origins of Spygate in May of 2019

So far only one FBI lawyer has been charged with making a false statement in Durham’s investigation.

Former FBI Attorney Kevin Clinesmith plead guilty in August to one charge of making false statements 18 USC 1001 a(3) “makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry.”

38-year-old Clinemsith altered an email from CIA investigators used to request a FISA warrant and renewals on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

Sunday Morning Futures host Maria Bartiromo reported in September that Durham would NOT release his Spygate report before the 2020 election.

According to Bartiromo, a debate has begun within the Department of Justice as the timing of John Durham’s criminal investigation conclusion. Sources said it is now too close to the election and could be viewed as politically motivated.

Now this…
According to The Federalist, “John Durham isn’t doing anything” and he is “dropping his investigations.”

“He’s worried about blowback from Biden.”

SEAN DAVIS: A separate source who has seen the evidence compiled during the course of Durham’s investigation told @FDRLST this afternoon that there’s “more than enough evidence to indict multiple” involved in the Russian collusion hoax operation to take down Trump.

All of us are on pins and needles waiting for something definitive, evidence sufficient to  “stop the steal”that we feel in our bones is going on, or at least to be able to count the deck and examine the cards we have been dealt, so as to know whether to walk away or upend the table.

Is this it?  Is this something even the press would have a hard time ignoring as partisan nitpicking about Democrat voting fraud?

We think there is enough evidence as regards the old tried and true largely Democrat modus of stuffing ballot boxes, of inventing votes, of grave-yard voting,  of overwriting, of falsifying numbers, of destroying ballots and so on, to send a lot of people to jail. Such skulduggery is what they do, it is their trump card for any elections the powers that be decide they need.

But Donald Trump’s actual vote was shaping up to be so monumental the Democrats could not rely on their old techniques. According to Trump’s team the Democrats found it necessary to finagle a voting machine software process to insure at least an initial call by the media and subsequent capitulation, figuring on dealing with any charges and cover-up from the perspective of being in power, as in wudddayagointodoaboutit.

If Sidney Powel is blustering in this interview it would be the height of irresponsibility as it is the sort of thing that could lead to violence if exaggerated or untrue — but believed —

Democrats think they have sailed to victory, Trump Team to release the Kraken,

Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell: ‘We’re Getting Ready to Overturn Election Results in Multiple States’

Former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell, a Trump campaign lawyer, suggested in a Sunday interview that there is still more evidence coming out in President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud and irregularities.

“We’re getting ready to overturn election results in multiple states,” Powell said, saying that she has enough evidence of election fraud to launch a widespread criminal investigation. “I don’t make comments without having the evidence to back it up,” she added, saying that elections software switched “millions of votes” from Trump to Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Powell notably provided legal counsel to Gen. Michael Flynn in 2019. She was named to Trump’s legal team in the past several days.

Powell said a whistleblower came forward and said the elections software was designed to “rig elections,” saying that “he saw it happen in other countries,” referring to voting systems Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, or perhaps other software and machines.

“We have so much evidence, I feel like it’s coming in through a fire hose,” Powell said, while noting that she won’t reveal the evidence that she has.

“They can stick a thumb drive in the [voting] machine, they can upload software to it even from the Internet … from Germany or Venezuela even,” she said, adding that operations “can watch votes in real-time” and “can shift votes in real-time,” or alleged bad actors can “remote access anything.”

“We’ve identified mathematically the exact algorithm they’ve used—and planned to use from the beginning” that allegedly switched votes to Biden, Powell remarked.

Powell also made reference to a 2019 investigation from Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), as well as other Democratic lawmakers into Dominion Voting Systems, Election Systems & Software, and Hart InterCivic. The senators had expressed concerns about the security of the voting systems.

“(W)e have concerns about the spread and effect of private equity investment in many sectors of the economy, including the election technology industry—an integral part of our nation’s democratic process,” wrote the lawmakers in their letters to the firms about a year ago. “These problems threaten the integrity of our elections and demonstrate the importance of election systems that are strong, durable, and not vulnerable to attack.”

Later in the Sunday morning interview, Powell said that her team has “detected voting irregularities that are inexplicable” in states where officials believe they have valid systems.

During the election, Republicans in the House were able to flip at least 11 seats while the GOP is poised to maintain control of the Senate. Some conservatives have questioned how such a voting pattern is possible for Biden to win the presidential election, let alone receive more votes than any other presidential candidate in American history, including President Barack Obama’s victory in 2008.

Companies Respond
The Department of Homeland Security’s cybersecurity agency issued a statement on Thursday calling the 2020 general election the “most secure in American history,” despite multiple legal challenges alleging a variety of alleged voting irregularities across a number of battleground states.

“The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. Right now, across the country, election officials are reviewing and double-checking the entire election process prior to finalizing the result,” read the statement released by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Smartmatic, in a statement on Saturday, said that it has no ties with Dominion Voting Systems. Powell suggested that Smartmatic is operated by Dominion in the interview.

Dominion, over the past several weeks, has repeatedly denied its systems were compromised in some way.

“In the aftermath of the 2020 general election, there has been a great deal of misinformation being circulated about Smartmatic and other companies that provide election technology to voting jurisdictions in the US. We would like to dispel these incorrect statements with facts,” the firm wrote, adding that it “has never owned any shares or had any financial stake in Dominion Voting Systems.”

Dominion also refuted allegations that its machines changed votes from Trump to Biden on Election Day and beyond.

“Dominion Voting Systems categorically denies any claims about any vote switching or alleged software issues with our voting systems,” a company spokesperson said in a statement to The Denver Post. “Our systems continue to reliably and accurately count ballots, and state and local election authorities have publicly confirmed the integrity of the process.”

AND WE THOUGHT…

At first we worried that Attorney General Barr’s investigation of the Russia hoax would not be completed in time for voters to consider criminal acts committed by President Trump’s political opponents in the 2016 election. As Barr”s appointed investigator, John Durham, plodded along , “meticulous” in his probe and fearful that a pebble might go unturned, the months turned into a year and soon it was announced there would be no revelations for the American people to take into account as they went to the polls in November.

It was then, we worried that ultimately, well- deserved justice for the wrongdoers would not be delivered at all. Their actions, which were factually aimed at overthrowing a duly elected president’s administration may have been the greatest threat to America and its freedoms and prosperity in all of its history.

And now, it appears certain that our concerns were legitimate. It now seems likely that the findings of the Durham investigation will not be provided on a timely basis to the American people… certainly not if any part of it reflects upon the putative newly elected president, the previous administration, or his party.

Even now, if the ‘investigation were concluded today, any charges arising out of it could not be brought very soon, given the current Justice dept.’s aversion to appropriate haste. And by the time anyone charged could be tried, the new administration would see that those charges were dismissed, and a “Judge Emmett Sullivan” would uncharacteristically and eagerly uphold a dismissal.

If you thought there was corruption throughout our government, at the highest levels, and especially in the Justice and National Security systems, you were right.

And if you thought one administration’s 4 year term efforts to clean it up and see that true justice could be achieved, you were wrong!        dlh

First an instructive commentary from a favorite of ours, Kimberly Strassel, writing at the Wall Street Journal about the precursors to where we are today regarding voting integrity and fraud. It was forwarded to us via a simple Facebook posting and recommendation from our contact to read it. (We do not do Facebook normally so it came via email link)

But Facebook would have none of our contact’s speech rights without injecting their views. Of course with such editorializing, one has no free speech rights on their so called platform at all. Their “independent”  “fact” checkers objected to the veracity of the Strassel article and felt compelled to attach themselves to the post.  See the smarmy lying little limpet’s attachment below the article  and our response to  the sender, and since Facebook reads everything,  them as well.

Harvesting the 2020 Election

Pelosi’s top priority was remaking the electoral system. The virus gave her a boost.

The Trump campaign is pressing its case that last week’s ballot counting was off, and it will get its day in court. But if Republicans want a fuller accounting of the shenanigans, they’ll need to look much further back than Election Day. They’ll need to internalize Nancy Pelosi’s H.R. 1, and then do battle.

House Resolution 1 is the designation for the first bill unveiled in any new Congress. It’s designed to highlight the majority party’s top priority. In early 2017, the Republican-led House gave the title to Donald Trump’s tax reform. When Mrs. Pelosi retook the speaker’s gavel in 2019, her party had just campaigned on a slew of urgent Democratic priorities: health care, climate change, immigration, student debt. None of these rose to the honor of H.R.

Instead, Mrs. Pelosi unveiled a 600-plus page bill devoted to “election reform.” Some of the legislation was aimed at weaponizing campaign-finance law, giving Democrats more power to control political speech and to intimidate opponents. But the bill was equally focused on empowering the federal government to dictate how states conduct elections—with new rules designed to water down ballot integrity and to corral huge new tranches of Democratic voters.

The bill would require states to offer early voting. They also would have to allow Election Day and online voter registration, diluting the accuracy of voting rolls. H.R. 1 would make states register voters automatically from government databases, including federal welfare recipients. Colleges and universities were designated as voter-registration hubs, and 16-year-olds would be registered to vote two years in advance. The bill would require “no fault” absentee ballots, allowing anyone to vote by mail, for any reason. It envisioned prepaid postage for federal absentee ballots. It would cripple most state voter-ID laws. It left in place the “ballot harvesting” rules that let paid activists canvass neighborhoods to hoover up absentee votes.

Democrats grandly named their bill the For The People Act, but conservatives had better titles. This page called it the “Majority Preservation Act,” while the editors at National Review described it as an “Unconstitutional, Authoritarian Power Grab.” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decried the bill as a “naked attempt to change the rules of American politics to benefit one party,” and dubbed it the “Democrat Politician Protection Act.”

Mrs. Pelosi’s bill didn’t become law, despite her attempts this year to jam some of its provisions into coronavirus bills. But it turns out she didn’t really need it. Using the virus as an excuse, Democratic and liberal groups brought scores of lawsuits to force states to adopt its provisions. Many Democratic politicians and courts happily agreed. States mailed out ballots to everyone. Judges disregarded statutory deadlines for receipt of votes. They scrapped absentee-ballot witness requirements. States set up curbside voting and drop-off boxes. They signed off on ballot harvesting.

Meaning, “the fix” (as it were) was in well before anyone started counting votes. Pollsters aside, political operatives understood this election would be close— potentially closer in key states than it was in 2016. The Democratic strategy from the start, as evidenced by that legal onslaught, was to get rules in place that would allow them to flood the zone with additional mail-in ballots.

And of course there was harvesting—as these pages warned. This isn’t a new practice; candidates and campaigns have been honing it for years. Three years ago, the Palm Beach Post ran an expose on the practice in Florida. A North Carolina congressional race in 2018 was roiled by a ballot-harvesting operation, and a new election was ordered. This year simply offered the perfect environment to roll it out at new levels, and throughout the fall conservative groups were documenting examples.

Yet the beauty of ballot harvesting is that it is nearly impossible to prove fraud. How many harvesters offered to deliver votes, only to throw away inconvenient ones? How many voters were pushed or cajoled, or even paid—or had a ballot filled and returned for them without their knowledge? And this is before questions of what other mischief went on amid millions of mailed ballots (which went to wrong addresses or deceased people) and reduced voter verification rules. As the Heritage Foundation’s election expert Hans von Spakovsky has explained, mail-in voting is the “single worst form of election possible” because “it moves the entire election beyond the oversight of election officials.”

Republicans fought the worst changes but were up against the virus excuse. The question is whether they now understand the stakes. This election was a mere glimpse of the system Mrs. Pelosi wants nationwide, and she has already suggested “election reform” might again be her first priority in 2021. The GOP’s job is to harness voters’ frustration about the murky mess that was this year’s vote into a movement that demands transparency and renewed integrity of the ballot. Or risk a lot of 2020 repeats.

Major publication, well respected journalist, but Facebook editorialists know better:

So Facebook gets to insert a comment (essentially hijack your post) with an assertion that does not stand up to objective analysis. If the Facebook fact shavers want to debate Kimberly Strassel they ought to send their comments to her paper and not abuse your free speech prerogatives by injecting themselves into it.

Would they allow you to inject your commentary /correctives into their assertions mandating all Facebook see it as a matter of fairness? They won’t, therefore they are in fact editorializing within your post mandating all who visit your post see their side of things on a politically loaded matter. They are “platforming” themselves within your post and to your contacts. Strassel’s comments were politically charged. Facebook’s effort to deny the implications is political commentary, Democrat spin, and ought to be subject to FEC  regulations.

It is ridiculous to say that fraud does not occur in every sizable election. Democrat operatives will admit to that*. The question is, is it sufficient to change honest results. Strassel’s article was about Democrat efforts to enhance the possibility of fraud by loosening integrity standards.

As regards presidential elections, in the last 100 years (call it modern times) there have been 25 presidential elections. It is widely held by historians that the election of 1960 was stolen by fraud, in Texas and Cook County Illinois. That is 1 in 25 or 4%. Does Facebook consider that extremely rare? Democrats won that election with good old fashioned ballot stuffing, graveyard voting or buying off of election officials and or partisan hacks doing their anointed jobs. The methods are still in place but additional sophisticated ones are available as well, all with the veneer of making voting easier. Yet voter turnout was as high or higher in the 60s and 70s than today, with very limited vote by mail, fewer cars and fewer precincts. Go figure.
