Many Trump voters cranky, fed-up, distrusting and not willing to cooperate with “the system”

  • We are not shy, that is another category
  • We are ticked off

Rousing commentary at American Thinker.  We admit to falling into the author’s categorical description.  Oh we have answered one or two political surveys if we were in the mood this year but we have passed on probably a dozen opportunities. We know it might help our candidates to respond to some extent but often they are lengthy and when we have sat through them we can’t help but be pissed off at the skewed questions and the limited response choices. It is too bad that bad polling drives out better polling.  Thanks to DK for the forward. Graphics not part of American Thinker article.

Shy Trump Voters or Fed Up Trump Voters?

By J.B. Shurk   (bold our emphasis)

It seems that each day comes with another well known conservative prognosticator imbibing “doom” shots with “gloom” chasers before breakfast.  “Trump is toast.”  “He’s losing by double digits in the polls.”  “He’s got only himself to blame.”  Quick: Were those 2016 or 2020 opinion ledes?  Trick question: The same people who gave up in 2016 faster than Bill Kristol discovered his inner socialist are already in double-time retreat, rehashing headlines from four years ago and predicting electoral Armageddon for Republicans.  Well, gentle pundits, when the media begin ramping up “Operation Demoralize” to sap the energy from Republican voters right on schedule, and you choose to micturate in your foxholes rather than to affix bayonets, then it’s clear that the battlefield of ideas is no place for anyone who has learned nothing from the four years of war against Trump voters.

In 2016, the Democrats (and too many establishment Republicans) didn’t think Trump had a chance in hell.  Even with the election in the bag, Clinton and Obama still unleashed a wild international conspiracy that relied on the CIA, FBI, FISA court, and State Department to perform as extensions of the Democratic Party in an outrageous effort to implicate the Republican candidate as a Russian spy.  When they are certain of victory, the Democrats are willing to frame an opponent for high treason and inflame tensions with a hostile nuclear adversary.  Just what wouldn’t they be willing to do when a second straight loss could cripple their Gramscian takeover of America’s constitutional republic as founded?

In 2016, Obama’s legacy, Scalia’s seat, and Hillary’s money-laundering operation at the Clinton Foundation were on the line.  In 2020, what isn’t on the line?

The Democrats have ditched their mild-mannered, blue-collar, “can’t we all just get along” façade for in-your-face “give us what we want now” socialist revolution at any cost.  They’ve gone all in on a Green New Deal that gives government bureaucrats control of the economy and the power to turn 2020s Chinese quarantine into a permanent state of affairs.  They’ve declared the same carbon dioxide we all exhale a national health emergency, not at all different from COVID-19.  They’ve declared systemic white supremacy and patriarchy health emergencies, too.  They’ve declared that math is racist, that police forces must be abolished, and that abortions must be permitted after childbirth.  They’ve unleashed an army of Antifa and BLM insurgents to intimidate Americans through mayhem and violence, and they accuse shocked observers who object to having their businesses looted and burned to the ground of being unreasonable bigots.

When the Democrats aren’t toppling statues of American heroes or preparing to pack the Supreme Court with comrade communists certain to find the Constitution unconstitutional, they are actively censoring free speech, using the criminal justice system to persecute their foes, and threatening to kill conservatives one by one.  The Democrats may enforce mask mandates like the little authoritarians they are, but they’ve let their own political masks slip for good.  Gone are the days when they were willing to pretend to be part of a peaceful and American political party, loyal to the Constitution and laws of the land.  They are an insurrectionist force now, intent on destroying the America that exists today through any means necessary.

As Senator Ron Johnson said days ago, this election is “for all the marbles.”  So now is no time to go wobbly.

“Psychological warfare” is not some book chapter from a long ago war; it is what America endures this very moment.  Everything about the 2020 election is an exercise in mentally torturing Trump voters and wearing down his support until surrender seems preferable, if not inevitable.  The plague, the urban insurrection, the constant drumbeat of bad news will all disappear if Republicans only acquiesce to being ruled over permanently.  It’s just a little prick; you won’t feel a thing.  Every message pumped out by the mainstream media and echoed word for word by Democrat operatives posing as reporters is just propaganda meant to demoralize, not inform.  Twitter and Facebook and CNN and The New York Times are all now just 2020 versions of Tokyo Rose, pleading with law-abiding Americans to submit or suffer.  Every poll will be pushed to dampen Republican turnout.  Every state contest will be framed as already over for Republican candidates.  “Operation Demoralize” will stay with us until we win.

But we will win.

When you look around today, does enthusiasm for President Trump seem tempered since 2016?  Do you know of anyone who voted for the president four years ago who plans on sitting this one out or choosing Biden?  From my vantage point, enthusiasm for this presidency has never been higher, and I’ve never encountered a disillusioned Trump voter.  Quite the opposite, actually.  I’ve come across plenty of lifelong Republicans who stayed silent in 2016 or begrudgingly pulled the lever for the president who now would walk barefoot a thousand miles to make sure he stays in office.  I’ve come across first-time Republicans whose eyes have been opened by President Trump, and I’ve seen Democrats who finally realize how anti-American their old party has become.  I know there are plenty of Americans who view this election as their only way of fighting back in a war that has been waged against all of us since 2016.  And I see more Americans than ever who refuse to continue being backed into a corner by a political system that seems intent on their silence.  These are not the conditions that foretell defeat at the polls.

And if polling data truly indicate otherwise, then it is not because of a “shy Trump voter” skewing results toward Biden.  It is because of a fed-up Trump voter who is so angry at the institutions of power that have conspired to nullify the 2016 election that sticking it to those same institutions now seems only just and fair.  When supporting the president can get you kicked out of school and displaying the American flag invites attacks from Democrat operatives, we are becoming a country where the only appropriate response to a stranger seeking to sort citizens into political categories consists simply of name, rank, and serial number.  I think Trump voters are no longer willing to help pollsters figure out how to manipulate them next.  I believe Trump voters plan to speak as one on November 3.

Forget the mask, just suck your thumb

  • Thumb-sucking can’t be worse than inhaling or spreading concentrated bacterial and viral growth from face diapers (and they leak you know, or you couldn’t breathe)
  • It is just as effective and better for you to cough and sneeze into your sleeve or a disposable tissue, wash your hands, stay home if you are sick
  • Mask mandates are not supported by science or the Constitution (even common sense)
  • Join us in protesting mask mandates

Tuesdays at 5:00PM at Elmore and 53rd a group of citizens gather weekly to protest mask mandates. Mike Elliott of Davenport started the protests. We have participated for the last 4 or 5 outings after we found out about it.

Here are a couple of insightful and fact supported articles appearing in the last few days at American Greatness and Townhall — Auguste Meyrat and Scott Morefield writing respectively. Morefield has produced a lot on the subject and we will supply links to some of his articles and his accompanying documentary links as we update this post.

We like these because they convey our impression about the phenomenon of mask wearing. We are gratified to read that 74% of mask wearers are Republican. We think they are misinformed but we were afraid all those half faces we were seeing were Democrats.

If Masks Don’t Work, Why Do We Keep Wearing Them?

Many people were wrong about the masks, even the experts. This is forgivable, and therefore forgiveness is offered.

According to a recent study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 70 percent of the people who tested positive for COVID-19 wore masks regularly. By contrast, under 4 percent of those testing positive never wore masks.

Coupled with this was an extensive review of mask studies worldwide in which the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) determined that typical cloth masks did little to stop the transmission of COVID-19. Although experts like to claim that cloth masks will prevent droplets carrying the virus from reaching others when a person sneezes or coughs, the reality is that most people are probably better off using their elbow and turning away from others. Moreover, the virus can still pass through a cloth mask, and the eyes, which aren’t covered, can act as “a portal of entry.”

The scientific evidence here strongly suggests that masks do nothing at best, and may actually increase the spread of infection at worst. This is probably why countries that haven’t imposed mask mandates do just as well or better than those that have required them.

And yet, the symbolism behind masks is significant enough for mask mandates and mask-shaming to continue.

Despite the rhetoric, the science was always secondary—as the AAPS writers note, this is shown in the fact that “The recommendation [for universal masking] was published without a single scientific paper or other information provided to support that cloth masks actually provide any respiratory protection.”

Rather, masks were a tool for spreading awareness and keeping Americans in fear of a virus that posed minimal risk to the great majority of the population. And in an election year, such an environment could turn Americans against Trump and the Republican Party. That’s why the masks mandates likely will only end after the election.

In light of the evolving narrative and multiplying meanings behind masks, however, there is reason to think that masking will continue for a much longer time. It has become bigger than politics.

Masks may not be able to block COVID-19, but increasingly they have blocked common sense from the wearers. After so many months of mandates and propaganda, people have a lot invested in their understanding of what it means to be a good faithful American embodied in the face mask.

It wasn’t this way at first. In May and June, soon after states were reopening from their lockdowns, masks were an extra precaution taken by people simply being courteous towards others. The idea wasn’t to prevent one from being infected, but from infecting others. At that time, the mask conferred easy moral superiority to the wearer who could claim he was doing his part to help others.

Soon enough, governors and mayors mandated masking. Businesses and churches that failed to turn out customers without masks would be subject to heavy fines along with the individual offenders themselves. Even though masks were intended to enable safe reopening for states, most governments maintained closures of public areas and tight restrictions on building capacity. It was not enough to stand 6+ feet apart; people had to wear a mask now, too.

This was when masks became a partisan issue. Conservatives mainly saw them as yet more proof of a busybody government exploiting a crisis. Progressives saw them as badges of civic duty, and many were willing to go even further, wearing their masks outdoors, at home, and alone in their cars.

In its final phase the mask’s symbolism has now taken on spiritual and psychological dimensions. While some advocates of masking might insist on the science or the expert testimonials behind masking, most of them now treat it as an unquestionable article of faith. Like the Christian cross representing Christ’s overcoming sin, the mask represents mankind overcoming the virus. It is like the Muslim hijab or Catholic veil indicating modesty and reverence before God. The mask indicates modesty and reverence before the virus. Like the yin-yang circle reflecting the cosmic forces of light and dark in harmony with one another, the mask reflects the life forces of infection and recovery in harmony with one another.

The mask doesn’t just signal virtue to others, it is a transcendent union with other people who treat the virus with sufficient seriousness. Whereas church services are unsafe for communities of believers to meet, people can form a community of COVID-19 believers by wearing their masks and nodding at one another from a safe distance. They can share in the feeling that they are saving lives, respecting science, and taking concrete action against the virus.

No one should underestimate how strong and widespread the belief in masks is. For many, they are a source of profound security. They are secure from the virus, immorality, and in the promise of societal approval. Their masks even empower them to become puritanical and judgmental. With full-throated conviction, they will blame victims of COVID-19 for not wearing masks and for lacking sufficient faith in the mask. They will insist on quarantining them and their family members for two-weeks no matter what. In most cases, it’s difficult to determine whether this is a health precaution designed to mitigate spread or a punishment for being near the virus in the first place.

Many people who are frustrated with the masking simply want to return to mask-free normality. It isn’t so simple anymore. Asking a person to take off his mask now means asking him to take off all that the masking has come to mean. Removing it means removing one’s safety, one’s sense of belonging, and one’s values. This is probably why face mask-wearing has even become an addiction in a developed country like Japan. They were originally used to help with hay fever, but are now used all year round for whatever reason.

Facts or even a Republican victory in November won’t be enough in the fights against masks. Maskers need to be constantly yet gently reminded of the reality that masks took away: real community, real science, real safety, and real meaning. The goal should be not revenge, but rather a release from a symbol that hides people from one another and perpetuates fear.

Many people were wrong about the masks, even the experts. This is forgivable, and therefore forgiveness is offered. Once Americans come to terms with masks, they will be able to clear the air both figuratively and literally and finally make it past the pandemic nightmare.

Six Reasons Why Leftists Love Masks (Hint: ‘Health’ Isn’t On The List)

The image of maskless Trump supporters standing behind the president at rallies has become an unfairly maligned symbol of an unfairly maligned segment of the U.S. population. So much so that the campaign has even made an effort to mask them up with Trump masks, only succeeding to a limited degree with those standing directly behind the president facing the cameras. “Trump supporters are COVIDidiots who are toying with death,” says the left as they toss about dismissive phrases like “science deniers” and “Darwin awards.” To them, those of us who eschew masks are backwoods rubes, if not would-be mass-murderers who have made saving grandma all about politics.

Fair enough. To us, mask-proponents are herd-driven, frightened sheeple who care more about signalling their endless virtue (lol) than following data, facts, and real science. But whatever. To be sure, mask-wearing has become political, although I would argue that it is the proponents of forced-masking who have made it so, not the other way around. They are the ones demanding of us a potentially harmful positive action – both to one’s health and to society as a whole – based on dubious science and even more dubious real-world results.

Even so, since they brought it up, let’s talk about those politics for a bit. Do you ever wonder why the left primarily seems to be in love with their face diapers and quite obviously wants to wear them forever, while the right tends to either grudgingly use them or avoid them like the, er, plague? Is there something innate to the right-or-left thinking mind that precludes us to take a certain position on this issue, or is it all just caused by Bad Orange Man? If it were only grandfatherly Uncle Joe screaming “C’MON MAN, PUT ON A DAMN MASK!” from his basement while wearing four of them at the same time, would he have gotten more compliance from conservatives?

Now to be fair, overall compliance IS pretty high, sadly. A recent Gallup poll found that 80% of Americans are “highly likely” to wear a mask in public indoor spaces (and yet, astonishingly, the virus continues to spread). Breaking down the politics, however, finds Democrats at 87% and Republicans at 74%. Not huge, but significant, and although there are certainly plenty of Republicans who have tragically fallen for the hoax, it’s pretty fair to say the vast majority of those you see trying to tell the unvarnished truth about the futility of forced masking to stop a highly contagious respiratory virus tend to be conservatives.

Why is this? I’ve got some workable theories, and all have to do with a few key differences in worldview:

Leftists love ‘one-size-fits-all’ approaches

From climate change to healthcare to education to lockdowns, those on the left continually advocate for one-size-fits-all approaches that ultimately render their proposals not only super-expensive, but unworkable in a country as large, diverse, and spread out as ours. So it’s really no surprise to see them advocating for masks outdoors in non-crowded spaces with the same vigor they would on a crowded bus or airplane. Now, I’ve got rational, scientific reasons to be against masks almost anywhere, but even I can understand why they might at least be advocated for in a big, crowded city like New York City or Chicago. But there’s no sense of balance to the mask-worshipping hand-wringers, who’ve lost all credibility by insisting mask-mandates be implemented and enforced virtually everywhere and in almost every situation. Because when simple minds have a hammer, everything around them looks like a nail.

Leftist love to control other people, especially those they disagree with ideologically

If this were a super-deadly pandemic that was killing great numbers of people not already on death’s door AND face masks were scientifically proven to stop it, then maybe there would be some justification for mandating them for a short period of time. And governments have always had and should always have the right to quarantine the sick (*sick* being the operative word) if a deadly disease is spreading in an area. But when masks are mandated even in places where the virus isn’t spreading and have been for months on end, with zero end in sight, it’s hard to argue that the basic human desire for control of others (present to an even more dangerous degree among leftists) isn’t playing a role here. If you can watch the mind-blowing shenanigans of ghouls like Gretchen Whitmer, Eric Garcetti, and Bill de Blasio and honestly think these people don’t get off on using their power to lord it over others, you’re deceiving yourself.

Leftists love big government mandates

The maskers don’t want to ‘convince’ you to put on a face burqa. They can’t really do that anyway. Once you go beyond the surface argument of supposedly stopping ‘muh droplets,’ the idea is patently absurd not just on its face, but when analyzed by any sort of honest science. Thus, they need the force of law, or executive edict/mandate, to enforce their irrational fears on those of us who think beyond their propaganda.

Leftists love to suppress free speech they disagree with, especially if it comes from medical professionals and scientists on the opposite side of their views

There was a time when liberals would defend one’s right to speak, even if they disagreed with what was being said. That time, sadly, is long gone. Sure, if there wasn’t a First Amendment they’d probably have us all in gulags, but nowadays who needs government speech suppression when you can use intimidation, public shaming, gaslighting, and your Big Tech ideological allies to shut down dissenting opinions as well as Joseph Stalin ever could have.

Leftists despise personal freedom

Other than the ‘freedom’ to have an abortion or ‘switch’ the gender of a confused five-year-old, leftists tend to hate personal freedom, especially the kind that leads to robust, successful, liberty-loving societies. Individuality has always been hated by a left that tends to prefer the State and the collective. When we gave them the power to force humans to cover one of the most important aspects of our individuality (thus turning us visually into faceless clones), is anyone surprised to see them run with it as far as they can go? Did you ever in your wildest dreams think you’d lose the freedom to breathe free air while walking in public? Well, it’s gone, and we’re going to have to fight like hell to get it back.

Leftists hate seeing other people happy when they aren’t

Jealousy is part of human nature, to be sure, but it also seems to be a bigger problem among those on the left. That’s ultimately why they tend to favor socialism over a free market system. Seeing other people succeed wildly doesn’t drive these ghouls to work hard and seek their own success, but instead makes them want to steal it in some way, preferably legally using government force. To wit, I believe that mask and other sorts of COVID shaming come less from any real concern the left has for health and more from the fact that they just can’t stand to see people happy and living a life that deviates from the dystopian, fear-filled existence they’ve chosen for themselves.

There are doubtless plenty more, but here’s the bottom line: Leftists are generally miserable people who get twisted pleasure from trying to make the lives of others as sad as their own. As such, their zealous, quasi-religious love of universal forced masking should take none of us by surprise.

Has the Demonrat effort been to rope-a-dope on the Presidency and settle for the Senate?

We think it is an interesting question although the Democrats  are expending huge amounts of resources to win both. What raised the question is that our anxiety of late over the Senate is only slightly less than as regards the Presidency.

We have an answer but first let’s explore the question a bit more.

We saw a report (admittedly of the nature “usual suspect/ grain of salt”) that said eight Senate seats are competitive for Democrats and if all goes well could flip for Dems. We can’t afford to give them even one. Here in Iowa Joni Ernst’s reelection campaign is being outspent 2 to 1 and the polling is close (at best for Ernst).  In another race close to us, our ears-to-the-ground say the same for “Republican” Kansas.

Will late voters break for the incumbents?  We hope pray and vote so.

Now think about the Dems presidential nominee.  Seriously how serious could they be?  The powers-that-be must have seen Biden perform as VP and in the primary (no wonder Obama never got in the endorsement game for his own Vice-President) and yet here they are stuck with him, as crooked as they must have known him to be.  But maybe they are content that — well they had invested in him obliquely over the years and his persona might still have some political cache to cover for their intent on radicalism.  And yes at some point events transpired such that the systems next alternative, Bernie Sanders, was a bridge too far even for the huge amount of powers-that-be money.  And so what if the VP candidate was last of the primary pack (actually a drop out).  She was the powers-that-be’s favorite overall  . .  but come on . . .  another shrew and one that never polled well even among Democrats.

But they have assets to make up or cover for such  shortcomings.

The stars align and a boat load of money

As regards defeating Trump, the Democrat powers-that-be know the traditional power of the incumbency but also that that power depends on what the dominant national media (which feeds the local media) decides to allow for. No big problem, being part of the stop-Trump team, that media have/will allow for as little as possible as they are now four-square inseparable from Democrat election operatives.  The dominant national media hates Trump and his supporters and will entertain and magnify any calumny about them (us).

By and large they will not give honest straight coverage to Trump or other Republicans or our issues of concern and their efforts to undermine us have been relentless and dishonest. They will not report in the same tone or extent on anything that works against their partisan Democrat goals. Anything that embarrasses Democrats is largely excused or not reported. Any big scandal is ignored as long as possible and reported only to downplay or equivocate.

The newer powerful election phenomenon of social media, now better honed as to the manipulative power it presents, is manipulated not only behind the scenes but blatantly  as in actually denying access to key Republican operatives.  It is also the left’s cash cow. The moguls behind it are pouring HUNDREDS of millions of dollars of their money to the cause of defeating conservatives.  That is in addition to the effective BILLIONS of  off the books in-kind contributions from their companies in the form of manipulative processes.

The education establishment  has been wholly owned by essential Marxists for years and subtly and not so subtly indoctrinating students for years. Thank God it is imperfect because as they leave the institutions students might experience the benefits of freedom and vote for Republicans.

The left’s pets and players in the religious establishment are of considerable use as well.

And they have the fear and dependency and ignorance of so many people working for them.

So the lefts assets are in place and largely on the same page and the cash funders are pouring in tons of money to take the Senate.  But they have such boat-loads of money, and other power, that they can do both.  They can drag the empty carcass of Joe Biden across the finish line, one way or another, and win the Senate, the Senate being more important to them if it is one or the other. Or,  win the Senate and so disrupt the country as to circumscribe Trump’s second term by fomenting “unrest” in a way they hope will lead to a desired election outcome in four years.  We will see how much appeal that scenario actually has or if an attitude of capitulation sets in.

So our answer to that aspect is — no they are not settling for anything.  They want it all and are vigorously manically pursuing it all. But they can be exposed and overreach, they have before in my lifetime and been turned out.  We need both the Presidency and the Senate as Trump has shown he can get much done in spite of the House under a Nancy Pelosi. If we only had the Senate it would take a special cohesiveness and leadership just to play defense, something that we do not anticipate would be adequate. Capitulation would likely reign. Democrats can create much havoc with either the Senate or the Presidency, undo much that has been gained. We pray they will not have either.

Americans are capable of seeing through leftist intentions and rejected it. The Trump administration is good, has produced much, has been honorable in protecting this country and its ideals. Hopefully that which is innately good in the hearts of enough Americans will shine through next week. We will see where the collective soul of America is.

“Another day at America’s premier law enforcement agency”

Veritaspac has enlisted its resident playwright, Kneel Simon, to write a one-act play that captures the most remarkable moment in American history since “Hamilton”:

“ANOTHER DAY AT AMERICA’S PREMIER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY”

The scene: the ‘7th floor’ at the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Wash. D.C. (offices of the senior leadership of the FBI); in the office of the Agency’s director:

Director Christopher Wray:   “(Name of Director’s secretary redacted), “Get in here! Who the hell was in charge of gathering up and destroying all documents possibly damaging to Joe (Biden) and his family?!”

Secretary: “That would be (redacted) sir.”

Wray: In a loud, booming voice: “Well get him in here!”

Secretary: “Yessir”.

(Redacted): “You wanted to see me, sir?”

Wray: “Yes. You idiot. Did you see last night’s debate?”

(Redacted): “Yessir.”

Wray: “Then you saw the ‘press conference’ preceding it?”

(Redacted): (hesitating)”Yessir”

Wray: “Then who the hell is the “Boobalooski”, or whoever, that claims to have cell phones and email evidence of the ‘big guy’s’ corruption?”

(Redacted): (in a stuttering response)” uh, er, I’m not sure, sir.”

Wray: (in a contorted rage): “Weren’t you charged with getting rid of such evidence? How the hell did you miss this?!”

(Redacted): (Stuttering response, largely unintelligible) “I…I…don’t know, sir, we ..(unintelligible)…”

Wray: “I’ll deal with you later…but, let me tell you what you’re going to do now…and I mean ‘ASAP NOW’!…you get hold of this Boobaloski, or whoever he is, and tell him he’s to be in my office within the next half hour. He’s to bring all his “evidence”, cell phones, emails, any  documents, with him. He’s not to go to the congressional committee or to meet with Senator Johnson. The FBI is taking over this investigation, As of Now!! You got it, S–thead?”

(Redacted): “Yessir”.

Wray; “And what are you going to do with the stuff ‘Bumkowski’ (sic) brings you?”

(Redacted): “Destroy it, sir. Just like the other evidence!”

Wray: “Right!! Now, get going, dumbass. Get out…and…you better not f–k this up! You understand?”

(redacted): “Yessir, (unintelligible mumble). “

Wray: “What did you say?”

(redacted): “Nothing, sir.”

Wray: “Good! Now, get outta here!”                   dlh

From the play: “I do solemnly swear to protect my brothers, to slow walk anything I agree to do, to dodge questions, to obfuscate and offer every excuse in the book to delay as justice delayed is a feature of my service when it can be employed to protect our network, so help me God.”

“Big Guy” Biden hardly exonerated

“On this question of Joe Biden being somehow exonerated on the China deal, how so? WSJ news story correctly notes that his name isn’t on documents. But those docs also suggest special care had been taken to make sure his name wasn’t visible,” she wrote. True. Bobulinski was told to only refer to Joe in face-to-face meetings. Mr. Bobulinski was interviewed by the FBI, as he turned over all devices and business records where he and the Bidens were involved.”

——————

With all ‘due respect’ to those active and retired FBI employees and we emphasize the ‘respect’ that is “due”, we ask, “why would Mr. Bobulinski or any honest person in their right mind, voluntarily turn over evidence damaging to Joe Biden or any Democrat or Washington Establishment figur,e to the FBI?! ”

We’re betting that evidence will never be seen again whether Trump is reelected or not!

{In another Veritaspac posting, we’ve created a fictional scene we are imagining occurred Friday morning on the 7th floor of the FBI building in the office of ‘another “Big Guy”. Check it out; see how close to reality this bit of ‘whimsy’ is.}

———

WSJ COLUMNIST LAYS OUT THE RIGHT QUESTIONS TO ASK JOE BIDEN ABOUT SHADY CHINA BUSINESS DEALINGS

Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner Tony Bobulinski has flipped. He said he needed to come forward and set the record straight. Joe Biden has become a source of inquiry for some outlets regarding corruption allegations again. His son, Hunter, had his trove of emailsexposed by The New York Post, showing that the former VP did indeed know a lot about the business dealings of his son. One, in particular, that’s drawing attention is this China deal, where some person noted as the “big guy” was slated to get a 10 percent equity stake in this arrangement. The Chinese firm no longer exists, the deal fell through, but it started when Joe was vice president. Mr. Bobulinski says “big guy” is Joe Biden. The firm had ties to a rival government. So, Joe is a liar who knew what was going on, he was reportedly referred to as the “chairman,” Hunter often called him to get approval to sign off on deals, and he used the office of the vice presidency to enrich his family. That’s the Biden Doctrine. Get paid and worry about the rest later. He’s shown to even go rogue on foreign policy to protect Hunter and his family’s interests.”

Scott County Yard Sign Observation –

Do others from this area have the same impression?

One of very few yard sign locations in the neighborhood, maybe the only one! The Trump sign I had to buy because the campaign was not providing them or chronically running out. It was selectively knocked over once early on but has been left alone since moving it closer to the house.

My job has not allowed quite as much prowling of streets this season, especially as compared to previous election cycles when I put up signs for candidates in locations scattered throughout the county.   Nevertheless my impression is that there are substantially fewer yard signs of all persuasions, especially short of expectations as regards the presidential race (also fewer pumper stickers).   We have heard that the local GOP HQ can’t keep Trump signs in stock — where are they — apparently not in yards.

There is much to critique this cycle about the political apparat at the Republican Party of Iowa (and from the Trump campaign) especially as regards the early push for vote by mail and the ridiculous repetition, wastefulness and worthlessness of just about all of it.  We hope to expound on the matter in coming days. For one thing we consider ourself to be an “expert” on ads run on one or two local radio stations during the day.  The demographics of the stations are not diverse but on one especially the Dems absolutely dominate to a sickening level, running a half-dozen ads every half-hour for the Democrat U.S. Senate and House candidates, easily 2 to 1 over the Republican presence.  If the same level is being bought on other stations they are spending incredible amounts of money.

What are you readers seeing on cable and broadcast TV  —  how about social media and pop-up ads and the like?  Let us know an impression of the ratio.

Yard sign issue not isolated?

Got a note from a guy in the neighborhood who has somehow fashioned himself, to some, as a Pro-Trump, ‘super-conservative’, with some connections to key state GOP political figures:

“Walking through the neighborhood it looks like we have been invaded by progressives. Not many Trump signs. I believe the conservative neighbors don’t want the grief and will make their voices heard in the voting booth. I had no idea that we had so many ignorant people in our neighborhood.”

He believes that our “conservative neighbors don’t want the grief and will make their voices heard in the voting booth”.

Guess who is displaying no Trump-Pence sign in his yard…in fact, displays no political yard signs at all?

Yes, this ‘staunch conservative’ displays no political signs in his yard during this crucial election season…not even a “Trump-Pence” sign.

What to make of it?

a) Does he fear ‘the grief’…but will make his voice heard in the voting booth? Maybe.

b) Does the absence of a public statement of support for a certain candidate mean they will vote for that candidate? If so, then who is the candidate for whom a person will make their voice heard in the voting booth? It could be a ‘progressive’ who doesn’t “want the grief”…maybe doesn’t want a neighbor referring to them as a “progressive, one of the many ignorant people in our neighborhood”…?

c) As one who makes his ‘convictions’ known to those whom he’s pretty sure shares them, our friend, however, Is obviously not willing to make them known publicly. Is it because he feels surrounded by so many “ignorant people” in his neighborhood, and is thus not willing to ‘risk the grief’?

To an extent he has a legitimate point. I have a Trump-Pence sign in my yard. No other in my immediate neighborhood has any and no one has engaged me from either ‘side’ re. this “statement”.

What’s that about?                       dlh
