Interpreting Biden campaign and debate statements

Biden statement for public consumption

“If elected, what I will do is I’ll put together a national commission of bipartisan commission of scholars, constitutional scholars, Democrats, Republicans, liberal, conservative,”

What it means:  In short “personnel is policy”

Not so secret message to his supporters:

“I was hammered for a couple of weeks for refusing to rule out support for packing the court, so I will appoint  “scholars” well vetted by my  controllers, in spite of any tokens,  sufficient to pack the court system.”

On energy:

To his radical base: “I will end fracking”

To voters in PA: “I won’t rally end fracking”

Having to reassure his base: “I will faze out oil and gas”

To Taxas, Pennsylvania and Ohio and beyond: I will so regulate oil and gas that it will essentially end fracking, the oil and gas industry, cheap energy — the driving force of human advancement.

We suppose Al Capone could rate “Adjunct Professor of Criminology”

Why do we feel our Roman Catholic Church related commentaries are appropriate here, primarily  a secular political blog ?  Because what is happening within one of the nominal bastions for cultural conservatism worldwide is proxy for, and element of, a force multiplier of what we are up against as conservatives and believers in nationhood.

That said, the Catholic Church is quickly becoming a joke…a not very funny one. Another example: Georgetown University has given Peter Strzok a professorship. He’s going to teach all the young Hoyas about “National Security” and “FBI Insurance Policies” (oops, the “insurances policies” was our slip…sorry). (He is expected to be assisted in teaching the latter course by Attorney Lisa Page?)

Only a rumor, you understand, but Veritaspac hears that Georgetown has created a “chair at the “Walsh School” and Strzok will fill the seat: it will offer a PhD. in “Overturning Elections and Overthrowing Democratic Governments”.          dlh

Georgetown University has hired fired FBI special agent Peter Strzok as an adjunct professor at the university’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, the school of international relations at Georgetown.

Disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok is listed as an undergraduate adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, according to the university’s website.

Moreover, Georgetown University is mentioned in the bio of Strzok’s Twitter account.

According to the school’s Coursicle page, Strzok will be teaching a “Counterintelligence & Nat’l Security” class in the fall 2020 semester, which is worth three credits toward an accredited university degree.

“Counterintelligence and National Security The faculty for this new seminar is in a VERY high-level Intel position!” reads the course description. “Counterintelligence and National Security is an upper class seminar which explores the theory and practice of counterintelligence as a part of U.S. national security.”

The course will also use “real world examples” involving “traditional intelligence collection, economic espionage, and disinformation.”

The description goes on to note that the course will be “taught from a practitioner’s perspective,” and is “designed to expose students to the type of issues and work they would be expected to perform as entry level professional employees within the U.S. intelligence community.”

Strzok was fired from the FBI in 2018 after the department which oversees personal disciplinary matters ruled the disgraced FBI agent would face a “demotion and 60-day suspension.”( Breitbart)

Lockdowns Are Killing More People Than The Virus

How To Show Americans Lockdowns Are Killing More People Than The Virus

We need a lives-for-lives analysis of the public health costs of the Democrats’ lockdowns.

By 21, 2020

You see it every night on the news: a ticker with the cumulative death toll from the coronavirus. Yet you don’t see the other side of the equation: the number of deaths resulting from the lockdowns imposed ostensibly to fight the coronavirus.

More and more medical professionals are recognizing the severe damage the lockdowns have caused to present and future public health. A worldwide collection of medical and public health experts has just issued a declaration stating that current “lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health” and that to keep “these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.”

This Great Barrington Declaration argues that public health policy should instead focus on protecting vulnerable parts of the population, such as the elderly and infirm while allowing the rest of the public to return to normal life to build up herd immunity. Within a few days, almost 32,000 medical and public health professionals had signed the declaration.

Its authors’ argument is reinforced by increasing evidence that the lockdowns have not had any effect on reducing deaths from the coronavirus, and may in fact increase the number of coronavirus deaths by delaying the point at which enough people have built up an immune response to slow its spread. Even the World Health Organization is now admitting lockdowns are rarely an effective response to the pandemic.

The Human Cost of Lockdowns

This critical information does not seem to have permeated the larger public, however. No news ticker will display the number of lockdown-induced fatalities. In part, this is due to the pervasive bias of the mainstream media in supporting Democrats’ lockdown policies.

But it is also due to the nature of the message. Deaths from the Wuhan virus are a single number from a single cause, but deaths due to the lockdowns come from many different sources, such as:

Attempts have been made to pull these diverse causalities into one model. A group of South African actuaries advised their government that a lockdown would cost 29 lives for every one life saved from the virus. A U.K. government study estimated more conservatively that the ratio would be four-to-one — with lockdowns causing 200,000 fatalities while saving only 50,000 people from death by COVID-19.

To get this message across, we need such a number for the United States. To penetrate the media barrier and general public miasma about this disease, we need to be able to present this formulation: For every X lives that continued lockdowns might save, X + Y lives will be lost due to those very lockdowns.

Fortunately, there is someone in the White House now who knows exactly what is needed. In May, before he joined the COVID-19 task force, Dr. Scott Atlas and several colleagues published an excellent article in The Hill surveying the extensive public health costs of the economic collapse resulting from the lockdowns.

In an interview about the article, Atlas noted that he and his colleagues did “not do any sort of model or complex hypothetical projection. We looked at established retrospective data that has been done that is empirical that correlates loss of economic productivity, unemployment, and similarly, the health care losses that we went through.”

Now we need a model that will pull together all the factors to let us make a life-for-life, death-for-death comparison of the threat of this disease versus the horrific costs of lockdowns as a therapy. A therapy that results in more harm than good is no therapy at all, but we need a number to make that salient to the public.

Enough with the Partisan ‘Experts’

Of course, the left and the media will attack any number put forward by Atlas or anyone else who does not openly despise President Donald Trump. Of necessity, any such model will be based on estimates and assumptions, and it will require projections since the lockdown-related health damage will continue for years and decades. It will, however, get the topic of costly lockdown tradeoffs into the public consciousness.

This will have another effect on the conversation. Joe Biden has declared he will impose a national lockdown if “that’s what the scientists say” we need. A debate over the public health costs of the lockdowns will vividly demonstrate how little Biden and his fellow Democrats understand science. Science requires many points of view, rigorously tested, and challenged to arrive at any type of conclusion. A “science” of politically correct groupthink is worthless and not real science at all.

That means policymakers cannot abdicate their responsibilities to “experts.” Experts disagree, as they should. It is Biden’s choice to pick advisors like Dr. Zeke Emanuel, who would have us locked down until the coronavirus has effectively disappeared and who makes money off of lockdown consulting. Biden bears responsibility for heeding those partisans rather than the thousands of signatories of the Great Barrington Declaration.

These blindered public health “experts,” such as Dr. Anthony “hunker down” Fauci, see nothing but the coronavirus death numbers, choosing to ignore the massive costs of the Democrats’ lockdowns. While the left continues to fetishize technocratic expertise, blindly deferring to those elites rather than accepting democratic accountability for their policy choices, their lockdowns continue, leaving a rising death toll in their wake.

The most devastating “white coat syndrome” – not fear — but inordinate trust of “public health experts”

NOTICE TO READERS A new post begins below but for convenience of new visitors we will continue to post a link to our voting recommendations until the election is over.

Scott County Ballot – Recommendations including Judges

A most devastating white coat syndrome – inordinate trust regarding COVID-19

Paragraph after paragraph Danial Greenfield is devastating in his summations of responses to the Wuhan virus aka COVID 19.  Bold our emphasis within an entirely insightful article.  Our brief comments follow.  Thanks to TN for the forward.

The Chinese Lockdown-and-Mask Model Failed. Now Its Proponents Need Scapegoats

The problem isn’t just the China Virus. It’s that we adopted the China Model to fight it.

Public health experts adopted China’s draconian lockdowns without knowing how well they really worked and in a country that, fortunately, lacks the power to truly enforce them.

China’s deceptiveness and lack of transparency meant that we did not know how well anything that the Communist dictatorship did to battle the virus that it spawned actually worked. Despite that, our public health experts, and those of most free countries, adopted the China Model.

We don’t know how well the China Model worked for the People’s Republic of China, but it failed in every free country that tried it. Lockdowns eventually gave way to reopenings and new waves of infection. This was always going to happen because not even the more socialist European countries have the police state or the compliant populations of a Communist dictatorship.

Desperate, the public health experts adopted China’s compulsive mask wearing, a cultural practice that predates the virus, as if wearing a few flimsy scraps of fiber would fix everything.

It hadn’t and it didn’t.

But by then the public health experts and the media that had touted them were moving fully into the scapegoat portion of the crisis. The China Model had failed, all that was left was shifting the blame to more conservative and traditional populations, and away from the cultural elites.

In New York City that meant falsely blaming Chassidic Jews for the second wave. From Maine to San Francisco, Democrat leaders and their media blamed conservative Christian gatherings. Their national counterparts loudly blamed President Trump for not wearing a mask all the time.

A New York Times headline captured the cynical broad spectrum cultural scapegoating with, “N.Y.C. Threatens Orthodox Jewish Areas on Virus, but Trump’s Impact Is Seen.”

The uncomfortable truth was that the lockdowns had failed economically, socially, and medically.

Even blue states and cities were no longer able to carry the impossible economic burden much longer. The Black Lives Matter riots and the onset of summer broke the #StayHome taboos, and medically, the lockdowns had been useless efforts to meet a fake crisis of hospital overflows.

America, like too many other countries, put the experts in charge and they failed. Miserably.

Democrats claimed that they were superior because they were “listening to the science”. They weren’t listening to the science, which is not an oracle and does not give interviews. Instead, they were obeying a class of officials, some of them whom weren’t even medical professionals, who impressed elected officials and the public with statistical sleight of hand. And little else.

The entire lockdown to testing to reopening pipeline that we adopted wholesale was a typical bureaucratic and corporate exercise, complete with the illusion of metrics and goals, that suffered from all the typical problems of bureaucracy, academia, and corporate culture.

The system that determines reopenings and closings is an echo chamber that measures its own functioning while having little to do with the real world. Testing has become a cargo cult exercise that confuses the map with the world, and the virus with the spreadsheet. It gamifies fighting the pandemic while dragging entire countries into an imaginary world based on its invented rules.

When the media reports a rise or decrease in positive tests, it’s treated as if it’s an assessment of the virus, rather than an incomplete data point that measures its own measurements.

The daily coronavirus reports have become the equivalent of Soviet harvest reports. They sound impressive, mean absolutely nothing, and are the pet obsession of a bureaucracy that not only has no understanding of the problem, but its grip on power has made it the problem.

The smarter medical professionals understand that the theories have failed, while the administrators who put the theories into practice confused their system with science. The politicians listen to the administrators and when they tell us to trust the science, they mean the bureaucracy. The medical professionals can’t and won’t backtrack now. It’s too late.

The best and brightest spent the worst part of a year shuffling rationales like a gambler’s trick deck, wrecked the economy, and sent tens of thousands of infected patients into nursing homes to infect the residents, accounting for at least a third of the national coronavirus death toll.

Like most national leadership disasters, it was a combination of misjudgement, understandable mistakes, tragic errors, and acts of incomprehensible stupidity or unmitigated evil.

A lot of people are dead, a lot more are out of work, and the problem is far from solved. Someone will have to be blamed and they certainly don’t want it to be themselves.

The lockdown and the rule of the public health experts has become too big to fail.

Mistakes were made, as the saying goes. Projections were built based on bad and incomplete data. Everyone followed the path of least resistance by doing what China had done. And everyone in the system, from the experts to the administrators to the politicians to the media, is complicit. That makes the massive error the world has been living under too big to fail.

There are only two choices left. Admit the magnitude of the mistake or find someone to blame.

The establishment that touted the experts is blaming its political and cultural enemies, the people it has been priming the public to see as strange, selfish, irrational, and dangerous. And also the very people who have been the loudest opponents of lockdown culture.

Given a choice between admitting the system was wrong or blaming the system’s failure on its critics, the establishment has followed the same pattern as every authoritarian leftist regime.

The lockdowns didn’t fail, they were failed by conservative Christians and Jews, by President Trump, by people who were too selfish to give up their lives, businesses, and religion for the greater good. And if only they had, the coronavirus would be gone and everything would be fine.

The China Model promised something that its proponents quickly knew it couldn’t deliver. Everything since then has been a scam to cover up the original quackery and hackery. The louder they blame critics and dissenters for the failure, the more obvious the coverup becomes.

Lockdown culture needs patsies to take the fall for why it didn’t work. Like every leftist social and economic experiment, its defenders are left to argue that it was never properly tried. If only it weren’t for Trump, and for the dissenters, for the Chassidic Jews in Brooklyn, for Christian weddings in San Francisco and Maine, for gyms, bars, and beaches, it would have worked.

Yet the simple truth is that the China Model hasn’t worked in any country that isn’t China.

It doesn’t matter who the leader or the ruling party are, whether the public wore or didn’t wear masks, the resurgence is not a political phenomenon, science doesn’t speak, and the virus doesn’t listen. But of all the countries in the world, America was especially ill-fitted to adopt an authoritarian public health model. The sheer size, openness, and diversity of the country makes us unique and should have made it abundantly obvious that no such system would work.

Anyone but an expert or administrator would have understood that these plans were doomed.

But what the system failed to accomplish in battling the virus, it made up for by providing the leadership that had enacted it with a wonderful opportunity to settle its political scores.

The lockdowns don’t exist anymore as a prophylactic policy, but as a political vendetta. The more people die, the more businesses are ruined, the more everyone suffers, the more vicious the vendetta grows as it hunts for scapegoats, political and religious, for the great error of terror.

Leftist regimes turn to political terror as their policies fail. When the idealism dies, and the theories fall apart, the organizers pursue misery for the sake of misery, using fear, deprivation, and hate to maintain their grip on power while crushing the political threats to their rule.

The rule of the experts isn’t fighting the virus. It has become the virus.

Greenfield refers to the mask thing as cultural in Asia, something we have seen in commentaries years ago pre-COVID19.  We see the possibility of it becoming that here.  The extent of the voluntary maskwearing  boggles my mind.  Major retailers now post requests but do not actually require it, and we see people wearing then even outside . . . in cars . . . ! It is a face diaper phenomenon, a security bancky,  a talisman or a symbol of moral preening or something. Too bad it won’t make the preeners healthier, arguably less so.

As things are going, either face recognition software for the surveillance state will have to get more sophisticated or chips will be ushered in, in the interest of public safety of course.  The chronic mask wearers by and large will go along with it, useful obedient idiots that they are.

Scott County Ballot – Recommendations including Judges

  • Vote Republican on President and legislators
  • Judicial retention vote recommendations
  • Ballot issue – oppose convention to revise the Constitution

Voting Republican across the board this election is the only way to a return to normalcy, toward a conservative agenda and stopping the policies promoted by the worst and most dangerous Democrat field ever at all levels of government. Voting third party, or not voting, are not well reasoned moral options given the stakes this election (unless someones default vote is Democrat and they do not have a freedom loving inkling in their body).

Judges are also on the ballot this election as is a constitutional amendment issue. A recurring feature of V’PAC at election time is to set forth some sort of guide regarding retention vote on judges.  We have done so again as set forth below.

The Iowa Constitution requires, that every ten years the state must automatically place a measure on the ballot asking Iowans if they support holding a constitutional convention to propose changes to the state’s Constitution.

The question on the ballot reads: Shall the following public measure be adopted? Yes No  Shall there be a convention to revise the Constitution, and propose amendment or amendments to same?

The short answer is NO. If we felt there had been serious planning from conservatives to use the opportunity to correct judicially imposed corruptions of the document we would consider supporting it but we have no confidence  in the endeavor and therefore it could be very dangerous.  Other correctives can suffice for this go-around.

JUDGES

Any corrections or additions to this information should be sourced and promptly sent to the comment section of this post at VeritasPAC.com and will be promptly incorporated upon verification. THE INFORMATION SUPPLIED HERE INCLUDES OPINION and could be considered fairly sketchy due to the dearth of information. Our picks are primarily based on party affiliation, primary voting activity, donation records and legal analysis when available. Explanations of column headings and abbreviations are set forth below.

GOVERNOR IN OFFICE when appointed to current judicial level: Here considered more important than governor in office during first judgeship appointment. Some judges initially assume office by judicial panel process and not through gubernatorial involved process. Political party of relevant governor in office   R = Republican    D = Democrat

PARTY REGISTRATION & PRIMARY VOTING RECORD County Auditor office look-ups by V’PAC or Iowa Right to Life (IRLC.com) sources. Affiliation may provide some inkling of judicial philosophy but can be very sketchy. Primary voter history may give inkling of a limited degree of party concern.   R = Republican,   D = Democrat

FEDERAL DONATIONS (FEC) $200 cumulative reporting threshold by donor: By judge to political candidates or PACS. Look-up by V’PAC in Federal Election Commission (FEC) Web site. Spousal donations are not indicated here due to reporting vagaries but can sometimes be significant and arguably a proxy. Any corrections sent to V’PAC will be promptly integrated.

STATE DONATIONS (IECDB) In their data base there is a $25 cumulative reporting threshold by donor. The look-up here by V’PAC in the Iowa Ethics Campaign Disclosure Board (IECDB) Web site. Spousal donations not indicated here due to reporting vagaries but can sometimes be significant and arguably a proxy. Any corrections sent to V’PAC will be promptly integrated. ILP = Iowa Law Pac (ILP) is a political action committee catering tothe legal bar.  Donations to it may be intermittent and fairly small unless noted. ILP is not a conservative organization and its interests can often diverge from ours.

RATINGS OR NOTES:   iVG = iVoterGuide.com characterization of judges judicial philosophy as determined by a panel set up by the conservative organization. Any notes or ratings supplied by V’PAC.  “NE-iVG” means not evaluated by Ivoeterguide.com. Checkmark indicates V’PAC support for retention (vote yes) given current political conditions. A blank as to recommendation indicates we are undecided and readers should use their predilections. A “no” indication indicates we do not support retention given current political conditions. Judges are encouraged to publicly announce their judicial philosophy and abide by it. Not doing so they cannot object to misapprehensions. It is our opinion that a no vote on retention can be a safe vote in the face of sketchy information (the fault primarily of the judges) and lack of trustworthy ratings (the fault primarily of the judges) and especially when political conditions are favorable (conservative Republican governor in office). Our recommendations are in the column at right .

SOURCES Information herein is  gleaned by V’PAC from information available at  ivoterguide.com     liferightaction.org       iowartl.org    Davenportvotes.org   Ballotpedia,  Scott County auditor data base 2017, and donation records at the Federal Election Commission and Iowa Ethics Campaign Disclosure Board.

Note A: Mansfield wrote originalist dissent on key abortion case. Majority ruling was pro-abortion

Note B:  Waterman concurred in originalist dissent on key abortion case. Majority ruling was pro-abortion

Note Y:  2017 Scott County data base indicates him as a Republican, Iowartl.org lists as current registered Democrat?  Culver donations troubling.

Her Heroes Also Kill Babies

Our Democrat congressperson Sharice Davis here in Kansas has been proudly sporting her tee shirt proclaiming that ‘all her heroes killed Colonizers’. Republican campaign ads have been featuring her shirt/slogan.

Then, I found a Business Insider story from, I think, May 2019 (link provided). The story was unrelated to Ms. Davids stand on ‘colonizers’, but interestingly it suggested that one of colonizers’ unintended effects of their wiping out millions of native Americans was that, a “researcher” claims, they lowered the temperature of the planet!!?!

It occurred to us, poor Ms. Davis may be taking positions in direct conflict with each other. Those damn colonizers were fighting ‘climate change’…and didn’t even know that, a few hundred years later, they would have a friend in AOC. (And…we’ve heard that ‘population control’ may be the ‘best way’ to combat ‘climate change’. Hmmm.
—————————————

MAYBE THE “COLONIZERS” WERE JUST TRYING TO FIGHT ‘GLOBAL WARMING’…WITH A ‘PLAN’ EVERY BIT AS MISGUIDED AS THE “NEW GREEN DEAL”!! (See the full ‘Business Insider’ article in the link below)

European colonizers killed so many indigenous Americans that the planet cooled down, a group of researchers concluded

– European “Colonizers” Blamed for Causing the Deaths of 55 Million Native Americans

– Their Deaths Caused Climate Change ! ‘Global Cooling’ Between 16th and 19th Century

– Congressperson Sharice Davids (D,LGBTQ, KS): Now Wears “All My HEROES KILLED COLONIZERS” T-SHIRT

– But Sharice, The Colonizers Prevented “Global Warming”!

Ohhh Nooo !…what’s a liberal indigenous American girl to do when her T-shirt slogans conflict?

Yes. When people ask Congressperson Davids (D, LGBTQ, KS) “about all these statues”, her answer seems to be, “Tear them down!”

Her T-shirt is a bit unclear as to which statues she means, but maybe if she got another T-shirt she can put other clever stuff about who her “heroes” are. For example, for Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood Appreciation Day, she could sport this one:

“ALL MY HEROES
KILLED COLONIZERS
AND BABIES”

ABOUT ALL THOSE ABORTIONS
(my heroes ain’t scared of 9 month old fetuses!)           dlh

Give us that old time religion (for dystopian times)

Here is a homily by a Catholic priest regarding this momentous election. It is 27 minutes but if you are seriously pressed for time skip to the 7 minute mark or so and listen on. The video has received over 3/4 of a million views on YouTube alone. We hope our readers will pass it along (use our link if you will). Thanks to Gene for the forward.

As an aside, as it is more important as to what is said than particular mannerisms, but this parish priest impresses us with the authority, bearing, directness, clarity, manliness of the most impressive parish priests we encountered as a kid during grade school, oh so many years ago.

Thank God he is not the only Catholic priest speaking out with clarity and truth this election, but there are so few and so much of the Bishopric, the Cardinate and the Vatican are pathetic when they are not sophists or essentially Marxists. The pathetic priests stand down, not this one.  Some related links follow.

Nails the “health” protectors for fostering COVID-19 hysteria

I listen to a lot of AM and FM radio at work. It is in the background as we go about our daily assignments.  Several times a day I am treated to the latest local COVID-19 updates. The information comes from county health department reporting.  The broadcast consists of individual county case figures for a multi-county listening audience. The “Covid” figures are not clarified as to whether they are hospital admissions or just diagnosis.  We are not given new heart disease diagnosis/ admissions or any other disease statistics.

Sometimes the reports include references to number of deaths related to COVID-19 for various local counties, but never with any distinction as to age or comorbidities, nor any instructive ratios.  It is just to the effect COVID-19 is rendering health care havoc throughout the area.

It is irresponsible journalism but we suspect with a purpose — keep people scared. Understand that does not require a conspiracy by the media (although it could be) —  just irresponsible, stupid, uninquisitive manipulative dips. The health departments are another story.

This four minute video may be the best four minutes you spend today as the citizen  lambasts the local health board for Utah County Utah (includes Provo).  We believe it was from 28 September. It is unclear who the person is doing the talking.  Forwarded to us by KK, it is from a Facebook post by Haley Larsen Adams.

Fine, the election is all about Trump, objective patriots will support him

Voting is well underway across the country. We do not believe in voting so early for reasons of general good government practice and integrity of the vote. But many are so anxious about this election that they cannot wait to cast their vote. It is abundantly probable that it is the presidential race driving them. Of course with our proclivities unless they are voting straight Republican we suspect most are shortchanging study of other races on the ballot.

And then there are so-called non-partisan contests or issues on the ballot that are so drowned out that fall-back votes of not voting the matter, opposing all or supporting all  are ill-considered. That said, when there is a dearth of information available, or accessible, voting against the system can be reasonable especially when it comes to many judge retention votes, especially if the fail-safe presence of  conservatives doing the replacing is available. It is our position that judges who do not champion a judicial philosophy publicly can have no complaint if they are turned out after a public election.

Reasons to vote for Trump/Pence against Biden/Harris are copious and serious.  Attempting to list even most of them could make this the longest post we have ever produced, but we will spare you. Our betters have conveniently been more succinct with many good reasons.  Nevertheless our admonition this election can be summed as Vote for Trump/Pence and a supportive team so that you and your progeny might have life and have it abundantly. We actually like Donald Trump, not every quirk, formulation or utterance (we are tired of such disclaimers about anyone, as all of us are imperfect) but what has been actually revealed about what is in his heart is impressive.

Stilton Jarlsberg provides an excellent instructive summation in his commentary today

A genuinely dear friend posted on Facebook yesterday that people who vote as I did are straight up fascists with “foul beliefs,” whether we admit it or not. “Most villains don’t recognize their own evil,” this well-intentioned person said – although on that sentiment we agree, for different reasons.

So let’s unpack what my vote for Trump (and a straight ticket of Republicans, assuming that I can still say “straight” without being sent to a gulag) actually meant. In no particular order, I voted:

• To keep the Supreme Court a judicial rather than legislative body.
• To keep racists from gaining even more political power.
• To keep my future votes from being disenfranchised by the addition of new Democrat “states.”
• To free Black Americans from their liberal prison plantations by increasing their access to education and opportunity.
• To stand in solidarity with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
• To clean up the FBI, the CIA, and the DOJ.
• To keep socialism from devouring our economy and work ethic.
• To have legal citizenship actually mean something.
• To improve everyone’s access to quality, affordable healthcare.
• To ensure equal rights to all regardless of race, color, faith, or sexual orientation.
• To fight against “cancel culture.”
• To protect our cities from those who would burn them down without fear of legal consequence.
• To resist the control of all information and speech by giant media conglomerates.
• To support police agencies and the communities which they serve.
• To maintain a viable economy during the pandemic rather than embrace systemic failure.
• To allow political dissent and the free exchange of ideas.
• To drain the Washington swamp.
• To keep our military strong.
• To put America first.

And much, much more of course. What I didn’t vote for, knowingly or unknowingly, are any of the heinous “foul beliefs” my friend seems to imagine are in my coal-black heart.

Casting our votes this time around was a bittersweet process owing to the high stakes and uncertain outcome we’re currently facing. It’s my belief that if this election is lost, that future “stacked” elections won’t matter; the “Dems” that will forever-after beat us won’t be Democrats but demographics. And I genuinely fear that under a Biden/Harris/Sanders/Pelosi/AOC administration, people like myself won’t just be persecuted for our beliefs, but prosecuted for them.

On the plus side, I also believe that a lot of Americans are sick of the Left’s lies, anger, and divisiveness and will cast their votes in a way not predicted by fictitious polls. It happened before, and here’s hoping it happens again.

Let me explain

JOHN SOLOMON. SARA CARTER, SEAN HANNITY, NUMEROUS CONSERVATIVE PUNDITS AND BLOGGERS HAVE HAD US ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS FOR MONTHS, YEARS ACTUALLY! Prominent, honorable people in Congress, JIM JORDAN, DEVIN NUNES, JOHN RATCLIFFE, widely respected people in the Executive branch, RICHARD GRENELL, for one, the current Attorney General himself…all these prominent figures, known for their expertise, honesty, and integrity, have assured the American people for months, for years even, that the previous Administration was guilty of some of the most serious criminal acts that can be committed against this country…acts of political persecution, corruption, and intimidation… treason of the highest order!

And, they have further assured the American people that the evidence was overwhelming, indisputable, and, at hand. They assured us that justice would be served! The guilty parties, whatever their station, their reputation, their denials and defenses, would be held accountable to the fullest extent, so that this assault on a great freedom-loving nation, founded on the rule of law and justice for all, would never happen again!

Attorney General William Barr, another in the long line of ‘people above reproach’, ‘unassailably honest’, ‘experienced’, ‘courageous’, ‘tough, and ‘wickedly smart’ assured us that the indications of wrong doing by the Obama administration, the national security, and federal law enforcement agencies were overwhelming and that perhaps the greatest investigator in all of Washington, John Durham, would, without a doubt, obtain evidence so strong that no court could find other than guilt on the part of the parties responsible.

President Donald Trump, subjected to the most unfair, illegal, dishonest assault in US history on any presidency would be vindicated!

Yet, here we are.

That Attorney General…the “unassailably honest, competent, smart, experienced, courageous, above reproach”, William Barr, has determined, after a year and a half of ‘intense’, ‘competent’ investigation by the wonderful John Durham…that whatever validity in the overwhelming evidence Mr. Durham has found…whatever indisputable proof that certain persons in the previous administration are guilty of high crimes and assault on the nation’s greatest institutions… he’s not going to reveal it until after the election of a president, one third of the Senate, 100% of the House of Representatives.

And, if that election is won by the political party of the people the alleged evidence shows was responsible for the criminal, treasonous actions reported, all the proof will be ‘washed away’.

Mr. Barr, named to his post for the purpose of determining if there was an illegal effort by the Obama administration to practice the most vile political corruption, to overturn a valid election, undermine a presidency, and destroy the confidence of the American people in its greatest institutions, fears being perceived as “being politically motivated”!

Or…maybe there isn’t any evidence.

Whatever, SOMEBODY’S GOT SOME ‘SPLAININ’ TO DO…
