Fine, the election is all about Trump, objective patriots will support him

Voting is well underway across the country. We do not believe in voting so early for reasons of general good government practice and integrity of the vote. But many are so anxious about this election that they cannot wait to cast their vote. It is abundantly probable that it is the presidential race driving them. Of course with our proclivities unless they are voting straight Republican we suspect most are shortchanging study of other races on the ballot.

And then there are so-called non-partisan contests or issues on the ballot that are so drowned out that fall-back votes of not voting the matter, opposing all or supporting all  are ill-considered. That said, when there is a dearth of information available, or accessible, voting against the system can be reasonable especially when it comes to many judge retention votes, especially if the fail-safe presence of  conservatives doing the replacing is available. It is our position that judges who do not champion a judicial philosophy publicly can have no complaint if they are turned out after a public election.

Reasons to vote for Trump/Pence against Biden/Harris are copious and serious.  Attempting to list even most of them could make this the longest post we have ever produced, but we will spare you. Our betters have conveniently been more succinct with many good reasons.  Nevertheless our admonition this election can be summed as Vote for Trump/Pence and a supportive team so that you and your progeny might have life and have it abundantly. We actually like Donald Trump, not every quirk, formulation or utterance (we are tired of such disclaimers about anyone, as all of us are imperfect) but what has been actually revealed about what is in his heart is impressive.

Stilton Jarlsberg provides an excellent instructive summation in his commentary today

A genuinely dear friend posted on Facebook yesterday that people who vote as I did are straight up fascists with “foul beliefs,” whether we admit it or not. “Most villains don’t recognize their own evil,” this well-intentioned person said – although on that sentiment we agree, for different reasons.

So let’s unpack what my vote for Trump (and a straight ticket of Republicans, assuming that I can still say “straight” without being sent to a gulag) actually meant. In no particular order, I voted:

• To keep the Supreme Court a judicial rather than legislative body.
• To keep racists from gaining even more political power.
• To keep my future votes from being disenfranchised by the addition of new Democrat “states.”
• To free Black Americans from their liberal prison plantations by increasing their access to education and opportunity.
• To stand in solidarity with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
• To clean up the FBI, the CIA, and the DOJ.
• To keep socialism from devouring our economy and work ethic.
• To have legal citizenship actually mean something.
• To improve everyone’s access to quality, affordable healthcare.
• To ensure equal rights to all regardless of race, color, faith, or sexual orientation.
• To fight against “cancel culture.”
• To protect our cities from those who would burn them down without fear of legal consequence.
• To resist the control of all information and speech by giant media conglomerates.
• To support police agencies and the communities which they serve.
• To maintain a viable economy during the pandemic rather than embrace systemic failure.
• To allow political dissent and the free exchange of ideas.
• To drain the Washington swamp.
• To keep our military strong.
• To put America first.

And much, much more of course. What I didn’t vote for, knowingly or unknowingly, are any of the heinous “foul beliefs” my friend seems to imagine are in my coal-black heart.

Casting our votes this time around was a bittersweet process owing to the high stakes and uncertain outcome we’re currently facing. It’s my belief that if this election is lost, that future “stacked” elections won’t matter; the “Dems” that will forever-after beat us won’t be Democrats but demographics. And I genuinely fear that under a Biden/Harris/Sanders/Pelosi/AOC administration, people like myself won’t just be persecuted for our beliefs, but prosecuted for them.

On the plus side, I also believe that a lot of Americans are sick of the Left’s lies, anger, and divisiveness and will cast their votes in a way not predicted by fictitious polls. It happened before, and here’s hoping it happens again.

Let me explain

JOHN SOLOMON. SARA CARTER, SEAN HANNITY, NUMEROUS CONSERVATIVE PUNDITS AND BLOGGERS HAVE HAD US ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS FOR MONTHS, YEARS ACTUALLY! Prominent, honorable people in Congress, JIM JORDAN, DEVIN NUNES, JOHN RATCLIFFE, widely respected people in the Executive branch, RICHARD GRENELL, for one, the current Attorney General himself…all these prominent figures, known for their expertise, honesty, and integrity, have assured the American people for months, for years even, that the previous Administration was guilty of some of the most serious criminal acts that can be committed against this country…acts of political persecution, corruption, and intimidation… treason of the highest order!

And, they have further assured the American people that the evidence was overwhelming, indisputable, and, at hand. They assured us that justice would be served! The guilty parties, whatever their station, their reputation, their denials and defenses, would be held accountable to the fullest extent, so that this assault on a great freedom-loving nation, founded on the rule of law and justice for all, would never happen again!

Attorney General William Barr, another in the long line of ‘people above reproach’, ‘unassailably honest’, ‘experienced’, ‘courageous’, ‘tough, and ‘wickedly smart’ assured us that the indications of wrong doing by the Obama administration, the national security, and federal law enforcement agencies were overwhelming and that perhaps the greatest investigator in all of Washington, John Durham, would, without a doubt, obtain evidence so strong that no court could find other than guilt on the part of the parties responsible.

President Donald Trump, subjected to the most unfair, illegal, dishonest assault in US history on any presidency would be vindicated!

Yet, here we are.

That Attorney General…the “unassailably honest, competent, smart, experienced, courageous, above reproach”, William Barr, has determined, after a year and a half of ‘intense’, ‘competent’ investigation by the wonderful John Durham…that whatever validity in the overwhelming evidence Mr. Durham has found…whatever indisputable proof that certain persons in the previous administration are guilty of high crimes and assault on the nation’s greatest institutions… he’s not going to reveal it until after the election of a president, one third of the Senate, 100% of the House of Representatives.

And, if that election is won by the political party of the people the alleged evidence shows was responsible for the criminal, treasonous actions reported, all the proof will be ‘washed away’.

Mr. Barr, named to his post for the purpose of determining if there was an illegal effort by the Obama administration to practice the most vile political corruption, to overturn a valid election, undermine a presidency, and destroy the confidence of the American people in its greatest institutions, fears being perceived as “being politically motivated”!

Or…maybe there isn’t any evidence.

Whatever, SOMEBODY’S GOT SOME ‘SPLAININ’ TO DO…

Any bets on whether the latest revelation of Biden corruption will go anywhere?

  • The swamp protects its own, this is family
  • The truth does not matter, they believe they can deny, impede  and overwhelm with impunity.
  • Works for Democrats, works for the deep state
  • Pardon our cynicism, you go right ahead and give Barr and company all the benefit of the doubt

From reader response to Post’s revelations reported in Breitbart:

Honestly, this will amount to nothing as there is already mountains of evidence with everyone (except for the Ukrainian judicial system) looking the other way, including Barr. The crooks are openly giving all of us the finger….

Trump: It Is ‘Too Early’ To Tell if I Would Keep Barr as Attorney General in a Potential Second Term

During an interview with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly set to air on Wednesday night, Trump was asked if he would keep Attorney General William Barr in if he won a second a term.

“I have no comment. Can’t comment,” Trump responded. “It’s too early.”

“I’m not happy with all of the evidence I have. I can tell you that. I’m not happy,” he added.

The Washingtonton Post reported on Tuesday that U.S. Attorney John Bash, who was appointed by Barr to look into allegations that officials in the Obama administration inappropriately requested the identities of individuals whose names were redacted in intelligence documents, concluded his investigation without filing charges.

“Personally, I think it’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. It’s a disgrace,” Trump said of the news, adding, “I think it’s really a horrible thing that they’re allowed to get away — when they say no indictments, they actually said no indictments before the election.”

He continued, “I had to go through elections with all those clouds over my head. But they don’t because the Republicans are so nice. Personally, I think it’s too bad. I think it’s too bad. They’re guilty as hell.”

Pope Francis’ Version of ‘The Art of the Deal’ with China

  • Has the “Prince of Peace” Been Scammed, or, is He a Willing Admirer of Communism, or Both…?
  • Be a good Christian means you kowtow to the state??

Vatican under fire for moving to renew deal with the Chinese Communist Party   Vatican said to be moving forward with cutting deal with Beijing over appointment of bishops

“The first agreement, signed in 2018, was intended to be experimental, but its results have been grim. In the past two years alone, the Chinese government has raided church services, imprisoned non-compliant priests and removed crosses from churches…”

“In one case just weeks ago, according to the National Review, a government-issued high school textbook changed a Bible story “to turn one of Jesus’s key teachings on its head: After inducing others not to cast stones at a woman who has sinned, Jesus himself stones her.”

“The current deal gives the Vatican an official presence in the country through registered churches…(but), allows China say in appointing Communist sympathizers as bishops and permits surveillance-state technology to monitor who attends services.”

There is no dependable conservative vote of 6 on SCOTUS

In yesterday’s posts dlh scoffed at the summation put forth by so many commentators (we are uncommontators) that SCOTUS will be 6-3 conservative assuming Justice Barret is confirmed.  One need only refer to coincidental information released later in the day to question the other commentators presumptions. From LifeSiteNews.com:

Supreme Court refuses to consider letting states cut Planned Parenthood out of Medicaid  There is no indication of where individual justices fell on the question.

Four justices are sufficient to grant a writ of certiorari, however, indicating that while Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito likely agreed to hear the case, only one of the other “conservative” justices – John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh – did the same.

Abortion advocates insist that tax dollars to abortion-involved facilities for other purposes don’t support abortions, but pro-lifers warn that such subsidies ultimately enable abortion groups to commit more abortions by freeing up money from their other revenue services. Duke University healthcare analyst Chris Conover estimated in 2015 that taxpayers ultimately cover almost 25 percent of all abortion costs.

The legal reasoning behind the court’s refusal to engage this must be that we must give tax dollars to the Ku Klux Klan’s community security endeavors with perhaps the restriction that they keep their rope budget separate (as long as the separation is not too onerous for them).

Fauci breeds fear to be relevant

David Nabarro The World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19

Dr. Fauci’s Mind-Numbingly Stupid Remarks About COVID Deaths

Mike Vespa at Townhalll castigates Anthony Fauci in the link above.  An article here at V’PAC last week fleshed our some of the reasons why Fauci’s remarks may be more manipulative than simply stupid.  But he is now undercut by WHO which reported this week:

WHO Official Urges Halt to Lockdowns as Primary CCP Virus Control Method

Why –  because it does more harm than good,  it kills more than it cures, the cure causes deaths that underpin the “excess deaths” that are statistically misleading. Fauci corrupts the numbers..

On what planet 6-3 SCOTUS?

Find it interesting that both progressive and conservative media insist on reporting that if Barrett confirmed SCOTUS will be 6-3 Conservative! Absurd!

With ACB Court will be 5-4, if that. Roberts is certainly no conservative… at least not when it counts.      dlh

World Leader Pope is all “Do as I say not as I do” when it comes to masks

What else can we say about the Pope and his hypocrisy about civil authority and wearing masks

  • Fine for thee not for me?
  • When in Rome . . . don’t do as the Romans are required to do?
  • Has he been pranking us all along?

Below is a collection of pictures of Pope Francis from recent weeks, certainly long after mask wearing became all the rage. We note his, shall we say, lack of compliance. To be sure many of his enthusiastic devotees do not seem to take it seriously or comply in the most useless of ways, but so it goes.  It made us wonder if Scott County infectious disease health authority Dr Louis Katz would have the Pope arrested for an assault on his  person were he to be approached by the Pope as so many in the pictures have been?

Breitbart and Daily Mail and other photos of the “killer Pope” *

Vatican City State makes masks compulsory outdoors

Pope Francis was photographed wearing a face covering for the first time when he arrived for his general audience Sept. 9. But he took the mask off as soon as he stepped outside the car that dropped him off.

* Here is a video of Dr Katz  referred to above and an excerpt of his testimony to Scott County Supervisors July 8th. Quoting him”as far as I’m concerned failure to wear a mask is assault (where social distancing is difficult)”   We also note that the infectious disease mask expert touched his mask eight times in this short video.

Biden and Francis – Two Men of the Cloth

However one might feel about George Neumayer, this column is accurate in every detail; are Catholics paying attention? Bold our emphasis for the main points.

POPE FRANCIS AND BIDEN IDEOLOGICAL BROTHERS

In courting Catholic voters, Joe Biden never fails to mention his friendliness with Pope Francis. He boasts that he knows him “as well as anybody” and that they share the same spin on “social justice.” “We need to create a culture which, as Pope Francis reminds us, cannot just be based on the worship of money,” Biden has said. “We cannot accept a nation in which billionaires compete as to the size of their super-yachts.”

Biden’s ruminations on wealth haven’t stopped him from chasing it. He is now a multimillionaire. As his bank account expands, so do his thoughts on the dangers of “income inequity.” His tax policy is straightforwardly socialist, based not on the legitimate needs of government but on wealth redistribution: “And the fact of the matter is, there is plenty — plenty! — of money to go around.”

In Pope Francis, whose musings run along the same course, Biden finds an ideological ally. Indeed, the pope’s latest encyclical on fraternity, Fratelli Tutti, reads like one of Biden’s campaign speeches. Published on the eve of the American election, the encyclical is a compendium of the pope’s greatest liberal hits: climate change alarmism, calls for open borders, opposition to the death penalty and even life sentences, the promotion of “international institutions” and pacifism, the demotion of “populism” and any notion of “just war,” and plenty of capitalism bashing and religious relativism. All of it should set Biden’s heart aflutter.PThe pope’s reduction of Catholicism to liberal politics with a dash of holy water on top gives Biden an out whenever his baldly anti-Catholic positions come under scrutiny. He can portray himself as a “Pope Francis Catholic” whose disagreements with Church teaching are mere trifles. Unlike Obama and Hillary Clinton, who supported the death penalty, Biden opposes it and holds up that opposition as proof of his Catholicism. In truth, it derives from his liberalism and his need to pander to the ACLU left.

Should he win, he will preside over the most anti-Catholic presidency ever. Picking up where Obama left off, he will resume harassment of the Little Sisters of the Poor, force Christians to pay for the contraceptives and abortions of their employees, court-martial orthodox chaplains, and generally use the power of the federal government to discriminate against anyone who objects to the immoral positions of the Democratic Party. One would think this looming showdown might concern the pope. But it doesn’t. The bishops most aligned with him have rationalized support for Biden, saying the “single issue” of abortion shouldn’t determine Catholic votes. Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark, an intimate of Pope Francis, has indicated that he plans to vote for Biden.

Treating friends as enemies and enemies as friends is one of the hallmarks of Francis Church, which shunned Trump even as he recovered religious freedom for Catholics. Biden, if he wins, will suffer no such shunning, even as he crushes their liberty.

From faithless bishops come faithless pols, who find common cause not only in the promotion of leftism but also in the persecution of the orthodox. Just as Biden calls Catholic opponents of the LGBTQ agenda the “dregs of society,” so Pope Francis dismisses them as “rigid.” Just as Biden endorses China’s repressive population control policies — he “fully understands” them — so the pope tells Catholics not to procreate “like rabbits.”

In persecuting the orthodox, Biden will do the liberal bishops work for them, targeting the very Catholics they find deplorable too. What do they care if he re-imposes Obama’s contraceptive mandate? They don’t support the Church’s teaching on contraception anyways. We may hear a few quibbles from them on abortion, but they will sound faint next to their excitement over Biden’s green new deal, open borders, and redistributionism.

Corks of champagne will pop in Vatican offices if Biden wins. Recall the cozy relationship between Obama’s White House and Francis’ Vatican. Together they snowed Catholics by treating political issues as religious and religious issues as political. Gina McCarthy, Obama’s head of the Environmental Protection Agency, received red-carpet treatment at the Vatican. While Vatican officials gave her a tour of the Holy See’s solar panels and the Sistine Chapel’s air filtration system, she burbled about the pope’s power to “de-politicize” climate change activism: “Everybody is just looking for the pope to continue to make signals that this is an issue that is important to the Catholic Church and should be important to all of us.”

Gird yourself for similar charades under a Biden administration. From the same secularists who renounce “religion in politics” will come praise of a pope who inserts liberal politics into religion.

Two Scenarios

People Do Not Have The Right To Know What I Would Do As President!…really?

Two scenarios:

One actually happened, the other didn’t. The one that happened received no criticism from the liberal media; the other, which didn’t happen likely would have created a media firestorm and negative reaction to it and the person who was posed to have said it would have dominated news coverage until election day.

Can you guess which was which?

Reporter: “President Trump, if you are reelected and the Barr-Durham investigation reveals that former President Obama was responsible for it and the undermining of your presidency, will you seek to have President Obama prosecuted?”

“Well, that’s a great question and I know why you asked it. But if I answered that question that’s all the news media would talk about.”

“Well Mr. President, don’t the people have a right to know?”

No. They don’t!, Trump answered.
——-

Reporter: “Sir, I’ve got to ask you about packing the courts and I know you said yesterday you aren’t going to answer the question until after the election, but this is the number one thing that I’ve been asking about from viewers in the past couple of days,”

“Well, you’ve been asked by the viewers who are probably Republicans who don’t want me continuing to talk about what they’re doing to the court right now,” Biden responded.

“Well sir, don’t the voters deserve to know—” the reporter pressed.

“No, they don’t,” Biden responded.
